Preah Monivong National Park known as Bokor National Park located in Teuk Chhou District, Kampot province. It is 1,075-metre high above sea level and about 11 kilometres from kampot town to the foot of the mountain and 32 kilometres from the foot to the cloudy peak. Bokor Mountain was found by the French in 1917 and developed into a resort in 1921. It was the famous summer escape for the French elites and royal family.
Bokor National Park is one of Cambodia's most beautiful and most mystical national parks. It is popular for its cool mountain climate and remains a year-round favourite amongst locals and foreigners. It offers a breathtaking view from the hill top overlooking Cambodian coastal line and many beautiful offshore islands. The park consists of misty tropical jungles sprawling over mountains teeming with wildlife, fresh mountains streams and waterfalls. Bokor National Park is a place for ride, scenery, cool mountain air, adventure, and relaxation.

Bokor Mountain - things to do in Kampot, Cambodia
What an amazing place to visit. Be sure to put aside a whole day for this place, from stunning waterfalls to abandoned buildings theres' so much to do and see. You'll need to get a motorbike or take a tour to get around, as its a good 50km round trip from Kampot!

Strange Flower on Bokor Mountain Resort at Kampot Province in Cambodia
We never thought of having this flower but the nature created them and this flower look like men's secret thing. it's a really strange flower and it really attracts the tourists to see and take pictures with them. People call this flower Phka Bompong Lorm or Phka Loeung. I used to see this flower on facebook but now i have a chance to see this flower my own eyes. It's really great and so much fun.

The Old Catholic Church was built by the French in the early 1920s as part of the French township on Bokor Mountain. The church‘s interior is surprisingly well kept. Here at the cliff behind, it is known for beautiful and romantic sunset.

Why visit Bokor Mountain?
Phnom Bokor National Park (also known in English, Paradise Place) is one of the most beautiful and most mystical natural parks of Southeast Asia.
Why Phnom Bokor National Park is special ?
It is densely covered by almost impassable primary jungle, approximately 140 thousand hectares of untouched mountain jungle, Flora and fauna here are diverse. Bokor Mountain is 1,048 meters high (Elevation).
What to explore at Phnom Bokor National Park?
You will have a wonderful experience when visit the beauty of nature here with a number of animals and plants such as elephants, tigers, foxes and monkeys, so on. Walking at the top of the Phnom Bokor is an old temple that you can visit its interior and observe a spectacular view from the top of this hill.

1. Bokor Hill Station
Bokor Hill Station refers to a collection of French colonial buildings, constructed as a temperate mountain luxury resort and retreat for colonial residents in the early 1920s atop Bokor Mountain in Preah Monivong National Park, about 37 km west of Kampot in southern Cambodia.
2. BOKOR Catholic Old Church
Any place that's abandoned is well worth checking out for creators! The exterior looks beautifully weathered down and the inside is nice and quiet. To the back left of the church is a staircase that leads to an INCREDIBLE view. Do not check out this place without going to the viewpoint!
Why Old Catholic Church is special ?
The Old Catholic Church was built by the French in the early 1920s as part of the French township on Bokor Mountain. This oldest church is well-known for its historical background when the French settle their power in Cambodia. The outlook still remains original bricks & colors unlike the casino hotel which already re-constructed and lost the original look.
3. Wat Sampov Pram (Literally meaning: Five CruiseShip Pagoda)
Wat Sampov Pram was built in 1924 by King Monivong. It's located not far away from the old casino and considered as a functional temple on the top of a mountain.
Why Wat Sampov Pram is special ?
Wat Sampove Pram:“Wat Sampov Pram” or “5 boats Wat” came from the five oddly-sculpted rocks nearby resembled boats. The five oddly shaped rocks near the Wat gave the pagoda its name. The beautiful legend of the boats will be told by resort expert guide.
Also, WatSampov Pram is regarded as the highest Buddha pagodas in Cambodia as it is located on the 1,075 metres high mountain.
What to explore at Wat Sampov Pram?
It is an old temple that is a place of worship of Cambodian. The Wat has five oddly shaped boat rocks and much unique architecture.
4. Walking through the mist of clouds
Cool air from the distant sea brings a relaxing breeze in December and January, much like the rainy season. Sometimes the clouds are so low you can walk through their mist.
5. Popokvil Waterfalls
Popokvil Waterfall is situated near the Bokor mountain, Cambodia. If you are a natural discovery lovers, it's surely a place for you.
Why Popokvil Waterfall is special ?
Just a few kilometers from the hill station is the mountain's most interesting natural sight, Popokvil waterfall. The falls lie at the edge of the highland march which covers much of the mountain-top. The waterfall is set in lush jungle and is located a couple of kilometers away from the Hill Station site.
6. Bokor Mountain Lake
Bokor Mountain Lake is one of the big lakes on Bokor mountain, and on the side of that lake, there is a floating robber on the water and also a big space for camping by Sokha Hotels & Resorts. Sokha Hotels and Resorts also provides service for preparing camping.
7. 100 Rice Fields (Veal Sre MuoyRoiy)
You might be interested in its beautiful name and then you will be more surprised to see the real view of “Veal Sre Mouy Roy or “100 Rice Fields”. That is the rock fields which look like hundreds of paddy fields divided by hundreds of dikes. It is one of the ideal place to keep your fun posts in your camera.

Bokor Hill Station (in Khmer: ស្ថានីយភ្នំបូកគោ Kosthany Phnom Bokor, French: Bokor Elevation Station) refers to a collection of French colonial buildings constructed as a temperate mountain luxury resort and retreat for colonial residents in the early 1920s atop Bokor Mountain in Preah Monivong National Park, about 37 km (23 mi) west of Kampot in southern Cambodia. Abandoned for long periods of time, modern infrastructure has made the location easily accessible as re-development is taking place. It was used as the location for the final showdown of the movie City of Ghosts (2002) and the 2004 film R-Point.[1] To the north-east are the Povokvil Waterfalls.-Wiki

Kampot has beautiful panoramic views of the hills/mountains most places you go. Fascinated by this, we absolutely had to visit the mountain ourselves and not only by drone. Bokor Mountain here we come! The views from the top were stunning as well as exploring the abandoned catholic church and casino.
