Is an annual event in the western United States at Black Rock City – a temporary city erected in the Black Rock Desert of northwest Nevada, approximately 100 miles (160 km) north-northeast of Reno.
Awesome event is described as an experiment in community and art, influenced by 10 main principles: radical inclusion, self-reliance, and self-expression, as well as community cooperation, civic responsibility, gifting, decommodification, participation, immediacy, and leaving no trace. The event takes its name from its culmination, the symbolic ritual burning of a large wooden effigy (the Man) that traditionally occurs on the Saturday evening of the event.

What Happens At BURNING MAN!?
So we went to Burning Man 2015! We drove an RV from Vancouver with a group of friends and stayed and lived in it for a week in the middle of the desert. It's really hard to describe the event as anything short of an alternate universe. Enjoy these snippets of our adventures!

First held in 1986 on Baker Beach in San Francisco as a small function organized by Larry Harvey and a group of friends, it has since been held annually, spanning from the last Sunday in August to the first Monday in September (the U.S. Labor Day); for example, Burning Man 2016 was held between August 28 and September 5, 2016.
At Burning Man the community explores various forms of artistic self-expression, created in celebration for the pleasure of all participants. Participation is a key precept for the community – selfless giving of one's unique talents for the enjoyment of all is encouraged and actively reinforced. Some of these generous out-pourings of creativity can include experimental and interactive sculpture, building, performance, and art cars among other mediums, often inspired by the yearly theme, chosen by organizers. The event takes its name from its culmination, the symbolic ritual burning of a large wooden effigy (the Man) that traditionally occurs on the Saturday evening of the event.[2][3][4][5]
Burning Man is organized by the Burning Man Project, a non-profit organization that, in 2014, succeeded a for-profit limited liability company (Black Rock City, LLC) that was formed in 1997 to represent the event's organizers, and is now considered a subsidiary of the non-profit organization. In 2010, 51,515 people attended Burning Man.[6] Attendance in 2011 was capped at 50,000 participants and the event sold out on July 24;[7] the attendance rose to 70,000 in 2015.[1] Smaller regional events inspired by the principles of Burning Man have been held internationally; some of these events are also officially endorsed by the Burning Man Project as regional branches of the event.

Burning Man Festival Tragedy (U.S)
On Saturday the 2nd of September 2017, Aaron Joel Mitchell broke through the safety perimeter & jumped into a Burning Man Festival fire in Black Rock City, Nevada, United States of America.
After being pulled from the fire by Black Rock City fire personnel, Mr. Mitchell was treated on scene, transported to the on-site medical facility, & airlifted to UC Davis Firefighters Burn Institute Regional Burn Center.
Aaron Joel Mitchell, 41, died Sunday morning due to injuries suffered.
The victim’s horrified parents refuse to believe he committed suicide after running into flaming effigy.
Mr. Mitchell’s family has been advised of his death.
Burning Man is working with local & federal law enforcement agencies, & an investigation is currently ongoing which should include a toxicology report.
Perhaps examine the contents of the bottle around Mr Mitchell's neck for something like Flakka.
The Burning Man organization canceled scheduled burns through noon Sunday but will proceed with the scheduled Temple burn at 8 p.m. Sunday night.

US Conference of Mayors Burning Man 2018
Led by Reno Mayor and Burner Hillary Schieve and a team from the U.S. Conference of Mayors, a group of mayors from around the country visited Black Rock City in 2018.
“Seeing Radical Inclusion in action is amazing,” says Mayor Stephen Benjamin of Columbia, South Carolina, the current president of the Conference of Mayors. “It pulls out the very best of us.”
“The citizens of Black Rock City came out here and built a city,” Mayor Benjamin observes. “All the infrastructure needed to be a true 21st-century city is right here, right now, built in record time, and will be deconstructed in a way that reflects our commitment to sustainability.”
