Cambridge Sculpture Garden (CSG)
The Cambridge Sculpture Garden (CSG) may very well be Cambridge, Ontario's best kept secret. Nestled along the historic Grand River and joining the Trans Canada Trail, the CSG offers a central oasis to picnic, walk, contemplate, attend an art show, or participate in one of our many children's art programs.
Come and enjoy the sculptures in the garden at Grand Avenue South in the heart of downtown Galt City Centre. The garden is always open. Admission to the sculpture garden and event participation is free. We are a volunteer committee dedicated to enhancing and preserving this green space which we developed in downtown Galt. We present both temporary and permanent sculpture in the garden and along the river walk...

Shake Shack, Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA 哈佛漢堡包, 劍橋城,
New Burger joint in Cambridge (harvard square). Been to the one in new york, it was good burger. some of my friends will only eat at shake shack. This one is pretty good, the staff are great, very polite and fast. the place is well kept. The view is really nice. The food was ok... I paid like 8 bucks for burgers and fries, so I was expecting more... I guess mine was just too over cooked. Still much better experience than tasty burgers across the street. It's a classy place to meet up on student budget.

Shake Shack is a restaurant chain serving hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, milkshakes, frozen custard and similar foods. The chain currently has 21 restaurants in the United States, nine of them in New York City. Additionally, there are currently 13 international locations.
The first Shake Shack, located in Madison Square Park, opened in July 2004. The restaurant was conceived and developed by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, which maintains restaurants in the Union Square area. The building in Madison Square Park was designed by Sculpture in the Environment, an architectural and environmental design firm based in Lower Manhattan.
Shake Shack was named Best Burger 2005 by New York magazine.[1] During the summer, the wait in line for service can stretch to over an hour, especially on weekends when the weather is pleasant. A webcam on the restaurant's web page shows the current line in real time. The Shack began selling wine in 2007
Harvard Square is a large triangular area near the center of Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, Brattle Street, and John F. Kennedy Street. It is the historic center of Cambridge.[2] Adjacent to Harvard Yard, the historic heart of Harvard University,[3] the Square (as it is sometimes called locally) functions as a commercial center for Harvard students, as well as residents of western Cambridge and the inner western and northern suburbs of Boston. These residents use the Harvard station, a major MBTA Red Line subway and bus transportation hub.
In an extended sense, the name Harvard Square can also refer to the entire neighborhood surrounding this intersection for several blocks in each direction. The nearby Cambridge Common has become a park area with a playground, baseball field, and a number of monuments, several relating to the Revolutionary War.
Although today a commercial center, the Square had famous residents in earlier periods, including the colonial poet Anne Bradstreet. The high pedestrian traffic makes it a gathering place for street musicians and buskers, who must obtain a permit from the Cambridge Arts Council. Singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman, who attended nearby Tufts University, is known to have played here during her college years. Amanda Palmer, of The Dresden Dolls performed here as a living statue.[4] A small bronze statue of 'Doo Doo,' a puppet created by Igor Fokin sits at the corner of Brattle and Eliot streets, in honor of Fokin and all the street performers.[

THE KOMINAS @ The Musuem of Modern Art - MoMA Sculpture Garden - Manhattan, NYC, NY
Event Description
The Kominas began in 2005 as self-styled exemplars of Bollywood punk. Their dance-oriented sound is a wild blend of 1977-era hardcore, reggae, Punjabi folk tunes, surf rock, disco, and dub. The musicians, Americans of South Asian heritage, sing in Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi as well as English. Their lyrics proclaim a bold political awareness, with broad streaks of humor, outrage, and the absurd; the songs are meant to catalyze change in the predominantly white culture while simultaneously fostering a safe and fun space for listeners of color. The Kominas have toured widely in the US, Canada, and Europe, and their recordings and a video session for the BBC have won the group many fans in South Asia. According to the band, “The Kominas aren’t from this world but they’ve learned to deal with its problems. They’ve been described as weird brown guys in a punk band, but really they are just trying to help themselves feel better. Maybe they can help you too.”

Return of the Titan
Cambridge University Botanic Garden was delighted that one of our Titan Arums flowered in June 2017. After an impressively smelly opening, Titus (as it was christened by the public) was pollinated and its pollen was collected and frozen.
We will know by the end of July if pollination was successful. If it is, the fruits should be fully ripened by December when we will extract seed and endeavour to grow seedlings to share with other Botanic Gardens and grow our own baby Titans. Conserving and learning about endangered species such as the Titan Arum are vital aspects of our work at the Botanic Garden and we hope that by creating more Titans we will be able to find out even more about these amazing plants.
Backyard Hockey Rink Build - From Start to Finish
See how a backyard hockey rink is built from start to finish. In this video, you'll see the processes of leveling for a rink, installing boards, lining the rink, filling it with water, maintaining the rink, and finally skating on the rink. Building a backyard rink is a lot of fun and well worth all the hard work and time it takes. I used a kit from Nicerink to help speed up the process and make it easier. Teams from France, Poland, the USA, Belgium, Africa, Spain, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden and the UK are competing this year - challenged to create a sculpture on the theme River of Life.
There is also masterclasses which allow the public to pick up a chisel and have a go at sculpting a polar bear.
The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família (Catalan pronunciation: [səˈɣɾaðə fəˈmiɫiə]; Spanish: Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia; English: Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family) is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926). Gaudí's work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site,[5] and in November 2010 Pope Benedict XVI consecrated and proclaimed it a minor basilica,[6][7][8] as distinct from a cathedral, which must be the seat of a bishop.
Construction of Sagrada Família commenced in 1882 by architect Francisco Paula de Villar with Gaudí becoming involved in 1883 after Francisco resigned as the head architect.[5] Taking over the project, Gaudí transformed it with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted his last years to the project, and at the time of his death at age 73 in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete.[9]
Sagrada Familia's construction progressed slowly, as it relied on private donations and was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War, only to resume intermittent progress in the 1950s. Construction passed the midpoint in 2010 with some of the project's greatest challenges remaining[9] and an anticipated completion date of 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death.
The basílica has a long history of dividing the citizens of Barcelona: over the initial possibility it might compete with Barcelona's cathedral, over Gaudí's design itself,[10] over the possibility that work after Gaudí's death disregarded his design,[10] and the 2007 proposal to build an underground tunnel of Spain's high-speed rail link to France which could disturb its stability.[11] Describing Sagrada Família, art critic Rainer Zerbst said, It is probably impossible to find a church building anything like it in the entire history of art[12] and Paul Goldberger describes it as, The most extraordinary personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle
