My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

For the first time in centuries, scientists have exposed the original surface of what is traditionally considered the tomb of Jesus Christ. As the slab of marble was removed, revealing the Holy Bed, conservationists were surprised to discover something their instruments hadn’t detected: a layer of debris beneath the marble cover. They will analyze the debris to learn more about the ancient resting place.
Located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem, the tomb has been covered by marble cladding since at least A.D. 1555, and most likely centuries earlier. The modest tomb has never before been photographed, and no drawings exist. This is the first time anyone alive today has seen the Holy Bed.
This burial shelf is now enclosed by a small structure known as the Edicule (from the Latin aedicule, or little house), which was last reconstructed in 1808-1810 after being destroyed in a fire. The Edicule and the interior tomb are currently undergoing restoration by a team of scientists from the National Technical University of Athens under the direction of Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou.
The National Geographic Society, with the blessing of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and other religious communities, formed a strategic alliance with the National Technical University of Athens for cultural heritage preservation. For an exclusive look at the restoration project, watch Explorer on National Geographic Channel, coming in November.

In Search of The Real Tomb of Jesus in Jerusalem
The church contains, according to traditions dating back at least to the fourth century, the two holiest sites in Christianity: the site where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified, known as Calvary (Calvāria) in Latin and Golgotha (Γολγοθᾶ, Golgothâ) in Greek, and Jesus's empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected. The tomb is enclosed by the 18th-century shrine, called the Edicule (Aedicule).

Upper Room Overview Tour, Last Supper, Pentecost, Jerusalem, Israel, Mt. Zion, Holy Land
See an overview of the Upper Room and all that happened before Christ's suffering and crucifixion!
Location
1. The Upper Room is in a second-story building in Jerusalem that commemorates where Jesus shared the Passover (Last Supper) with His disciples.
2. It is located directly above the Tomb of David and near the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion.
3. It is also called the Cenacle Room, which means “dining room” in Latin.
4. On the first floor of the building is King David’s Tomb. It functions as a synagogue so a head covering for men must be worn. It is divided into three sections: (1) a small synagogue room (2) a men’s viewing area of David’s tomb, and (3) a women’s viewing area of the tomb.
5. The location of David's Tomb is likely just a memorial place as Scripture says he was buried in the City of David (1Kings 2:10).
Historical Background
1. The Upper Room is believed to be the location of the first Christian church.
2. Archaeological research reveals the Upper Room is built on top of a church-synagogue built by the first-century Jewish-Christian community of Jerusalem.
3. The location of the Upper Room has been the traditional site of the Last Supper since the fourth century AD.
4. In the 5th century, the church was referred to as Zion, Mother of all the Churches.”
5. The Upper Room that pilgrims visit today was built by the Crusaders in the 12th century as part of the Church of St. Mary of Zion. The Gothic-era columns seen today were from this time era.
6. The buildings around the Upper Room are remains of a Franciscan medieval friary from around 1335.
7. The Upper Room was transformed into a mosque by the Ottomans in 1524, and a prayer niche is embedded on the south wall, directed towards the Islam cities of Mecca and Medina.
8. The Upper Room building is currently managed by the State of Israel Ministry of the Interior.
9. It’s very likely that the Upper Room was used for more than the Passover meal. It could also have been where Christ appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, where Matthias was appointed the apostle to replace Judas, and where the disciples stayed while waiting for Pentecost. Some believe it’s also where Pentecost happened or began.
10. It seems logical that all these events shared the same Upper Room as the man who allowed Christ to use his large room for the Passover meal was probably a follower of Christ who continued to allow the disciples to use it.

Miracle of the Holy Fire in Jerusalem 2019
The holy fire ( #holy_light ) is a miracle that happens every year in the church or resurrection the bright Saturday day in Jerusalem. The patriarch enters to Christ's tomb holding candles and pray, then goes out with the candles lighten by the holy fire that never hurts when people touch it. Security is tighten there at that time, and make sure that there isn't any source of light inside the tomb or with the patriarch before his arrival. Our Lord #Jesus #Christ is alive and this is a substantial testimony in our days for us to prove it! So we can see His holy light and live it as well
smile emoticon
Glory be to our #God.

Garden Tomb, Gordon's Golgotha, Jerusalem Israel: Crucifixion, Resurrection, Ascension of Christ!
Learn about what happened from the resurrection to the ascension of Christ. A detailed look at the Garden Tomb site in Jerusalem, Israel. Filmed in Jerusalem at the Gordon's Golgotha, Garden Tomb. By HolyLandSite.com
Location
1. Gordan’s Garden Tomb is located just 250 yards (220 m.) to the north of the Damascus Gate of Old City Jerusalem.
2. It provides a serene setting in a garden-like place to meditate and reflect upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
3. It is considered by many as the true location of Golgotha.
4. The traditional location of Golgotha is at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
5. Both places have evidence of being the location of Golgotha. However, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has more tradition and activity surrounding it.
6. Both places are within a stone’s throw of each other so regardless of the location we are still in close vicinity of Golgotha.
7. Because we worship a person and not a place, the exact location is not necessary for understanding and reflecting on what Christ did for us at Golgotha.
Historical Background
1. The property of the Garden Tomb was purchased in 1894 by The Garden Tomb Association.
2. It is a Charitable Trust based in the United Kingdom and is made up of people from many different denominations and national backgrounds.
3. Their passion is to help people understand all Christ did for them on the Cross.
4. The site is maintained by volunteers that come from around the globe and join a team of local Palestinians and Israelis.

JERUSALEM: What happens inside the CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE (TOMB of CHRIST) ????????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit The Church of the Holy Sepulchre which is a church in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The church contains, according to traditions dating back to at least the fourth century, the two holiest sites in Christianity: the site where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified,[2] at a place known as Calvary or Golgotha, and Jesus' empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected. The tomb is enclosed by the 19th-century shrine called the Aedicule (Edicule). The Status Quo, a 260-year-old understanding between religious communities, applies to the site.
In this particular video we are going to walk through the Church and enjoy views from many different parts of this sacred structure
Jerusalem is a city in the Middle East, located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

This happened in Jerusalem when they unveiled the marble of Lord Jesus tomb. The sounds of horns were heard and the clouds formed a circle. Glory to God
Unexplained phenomena happened in Israel today. A circle formed in the sky and there was noise like trumpets sounds. Very real.
