Female: I love the Crypts & Catacombs Tour because it's an underground adventure. We visit the catacombs, we visit St. Clement's Church, and we visit the bone crypt covered with 3,700 Capuchin friar's skeletons.
Narrator: Our bus is just there for us. Make yourselves comfortable, rest those feet. All right, this corridor has a few of the tombs that have not been disturbed. The group sizes are really small. so that's nice. The Normans came to Rome and they burned St. Clement's church. So in the early 12th century they built a new church to Clement on top of the old one. We have special access to a lot of our sites where we get to go through our own entrance way just for City Wonders clients.
So welcome to the Capuchin crypt. We have six rooms, five of which are entirely decorated with the bones of the Capuchins. Most visitors coming to Rome barely touch the tip of the iceberg, but this tour allows us to go 20 meters, 60 feet below the street level. Our visitors come away with a greater appreciation of Rome as the archaeological lasagna and all the layers of history.

Our second day in Rome started with a 6:30 am jog from our AirBnB apartment in Trastevere to the Pantheon. We were overwhelmed by the number of tourists we encountered on our first day in beautiful Rome, so we thought we'd try to see a site or two bright and early when we rightly assumed that everyone else would be sleeping. ;)
We think an early morning walk or jog is the best way to see the city! There's little traffic and even fewer tourists. We had both the Pantheon and Piazza Navona pretty much to ourselves! The only downside of course is that it was too early to go inside the Pantheon.
We spent the rest of the day visiting the Colosseum and Vatican. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets online! That way you can avoid long lines, especially at the Colosseum. For the Vatican City Museum, you can purchase a voucher online and exchange it for a ticket at the Museum.
To our dismay both the Colosseum and Forum were closed - without prior notification - until 11:30 am due to an official government-sponsored event. Fortunately, much of the Forum is visible from the public sidewalks. In addition, there are several other spectacular monuments all within walking distance of the Colosseum and Forum including Trajan's Column and the Vittorio Emmanuel II Monument. We also took this opportunity to walk back to the Pantheon and go inside.
The Vatican City Museum is a treasure trove of art! Because of our delays getting into the Colosseum, we sadly had to rush through the Museum. But what we saw was breathtaking! It was also amazing to see the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in-person!
From the Museum, it's a short five or so minute walk to the Vatican City where we headed straight to St. Peter's Basilica. We arrived around 5:15 pm, and the light inside the Basilica was stunning! We paid 7 Euro per person to take the elevator + 320 steps to the Dome. The alternative is to pay 5 Euro per person to ascend completely on foot via 551 steps. The 360-degree views of Rome from the Dome are gorgeous!
We enjoyed a simple pasta dinner followed by our daily serving of gelato! We ended the day with a walk along the Tiber River back to our place in Trastevere. The monuments and bridges around the river are beautifully lit up at night!
As always, many thanks for watching!!

Rome, City Tour by Bus - Italy 4K Travel Channel
In Rome, as well as in other other cities, a city tour by bus is a good opportunity to get a first overview of the city.
The bus departs from Termini (the main station), where you can admire the Baths of Diocletian. From there we drive directly to the Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and along the Circus Maximus back to Piazza Venezia.
Across the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II the route continues to the Vatican and back to the Castel Sant' Angelo. The city tour by bus ends at Termini.

ROMA VLOG 2 - ROAD TO VATICAN (and Piazza Navona)
Visited the Vatican and had a guide tour, booked through Viator but was organised by City Wonders. Perhaps the next time I would book directly via City Wonders and it would be cheaper than through an agent (Viator). Paola was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and interactive. The group's size was 9 but 5 others (family) left early so it was like we had Paola just for ourselves :)
We started with the museum of the Vatican then went to the Sistine Chapel. The tour ended with Saint Peter's Basilica where we were able to explore the huge church. And everywhere we could SKIP THE LINE with our guide...that was very awesome! The museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica are must see's when in Rome.
After the tour we went to Piazza Navona and had our dinner there. The restaurants at Piazza Navona are a little bit more pricy but you usually get what you pay for.
Stay tuned for more videos from our Rome trip and subscribe to our channel :) Thank you and we love you all!
