Day 23 - Dinosaur Museum
At last we had arrived at the dinosaur museum. Unfortunately we arrived late, so we had just over an hour to see the whole place. I had been here two times previously, and the place has not changed much. I still had fun nonetheless :) This is one of the best dinosaur museums in the world.

Everyone is a researcher in Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum
[English subtitled]
They opened the open-air museum on the hill in front of their fossil excavation site in July, 2014 as the museum branch.
It takes 20 minutes by shuttle bus from FPDM main building.
There you can see the exhibition that you can feel reality of excavation and the visitors can experience excavation by breaking stones actually on the excavation.

Let's learn about Tenshin Okakura [PR for Fukui]
A great international person associated with Fukui, Tenshin Okakura. This time, I will introduce his achievements and the highlights of his special exhibitionwhich was held at Fukui Fine Arts Museum.
Tenshin Okakura prevented discarding precious Japanese arts and appealed Japanese culture to the world during the Meiji Period when Japan had been westernized.

Following in the footsteps of Tatsuji Miyoshi [PR for Fukui]
Tatsuji Miyoshi, who was a leading poet in the Showa Period and won a variety of awards such as Japan Art Academy Award.
In 1944, he moved to present Mikuni Town, Sakai City and lived in for five years. He loved Mikuni so much that it was the land of his heart and left behind writings that he recalled the sight of the seaside pine forest fondly.

Japanese paper formative art exhibition by Kozue Kato at Fukui Kougeisha Craft Gallery
A Japanese paper formative artist in Fukui City, Kozue Kato's personal exhibition is being held at Fukui Kougeisha Craft Gallery for the first time in two years. Her works range from variety goods to big pieces. She says that she is able to create works that she enjoys herself more freely than ever. Her motto is ”Nice-to-have works for daily use and it's up to you how to use. The works which give you a little chuckle are exhibited．

Annual autumn plant dyed goods exhibition of Masao Ishikawa was held at Fukui Kougeisha Craft Gallery. His works with a modern atmosphere including one dyed with persimmon tannin and indigo used for the direct mails are popular overseas. I interviewed him at the gallery.
