Ginza Weekend Afternoon Shopping Street Adventure
Ginza turns into a pedestrian walking area on the weekends on Chuo-dori (Chuo Avenue) but it's not just the Main Street that is awesome. The side streets have a lot of surprises including Satellite shops for every major fashion brand and Japanese prefectural shops where you can get fresh food from all over the country.
WHERE IS GINZA and CHUO DORI?
GINZA STATION is in the center and you can see the street from end to end. It's closed to traffic from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday every weekend.

SHOPPING IN GINZA - PEDESTRIAN PARADISE IN TOKYO JAPAN, UNIQLO, ITOYA & LUXURY SHOPS 銀座
Ginza in Tokyo is undoubtably one of the best places to go shopping in the entire world! equal to Fifth Avenue in New York and Oxford Street in London, we had an amazing day seeing all of what it had to offer! We headed into Ginza 6 with all of it's luxury brands, then off to the largest Uniqlo store in the world, the best stationary store ever in Itoya, before finally heading up to the top of Tokyu Plaza. The best thing about Chuo Dori (the main street through Ginza) is that it becomes a pedestrian paradise where they shut off the roads at the weekend! If you're looking to shop in Tokyo, Japan, there is no better place!

Tokyo Christmas Window Shopping in Ginza
We'll explore Ginza's Chuo Avenue at the start of the holiday season in Tokyo.
Tokyo's Christmas Season is underway - well, it started the day after Halloween with the lights going up around the start of November and the end of the Rugby World Cup. When it comes to Christmas Window Shopping, Ginza is the king! Stores have large windows and you can peep in for a slice of Saint Nick's spirit!
Where is Ginza?
Ginza Yonchome Intersection is the most famous and most expensive real estate spot in Japan - and maybe the world!
Holiday lights in Tokyo are typically up until January 8th.

Open hours: 11:30 am - 11 pm daily
Total price: 3,480 JPY ($31.25 USD)
My overall rating - 8/10
Sake Noana 酒の穴 is a sake bar and great budget Japanese restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo. My wife and I had just landed in Tokyo, and we really had no plans for where to eat lunch, so we took a walk outside our hotel, and we found this place just by chance.
It turned out to be an excellent little basement restaurant, and although it’s known to be a Japanese sake bar, they also have some amazing lunch specials, which I thought were a very good deal for Tokyo.

Walking in Ginza, Tokyo - The Famous Shopping District - 4K, 60FPS
Oh Ginza... Once a place where upper-class Tokyoites of the older generation went for their weekend shopping. These days however, it feels more like a big tourist trap where entire shops seems to be designed only for visitors arriving in tour buses, looking to bring back as much tax-free goods as possible...
It's still one of the most visually interesting areas in Tokyo though, thanks to the long wide roads lit up by all the upscale brands trying to outdo each other.
In this video, shot on a weekend evening, I'm covering the entire main street (Chuo-Dori), famous for upscale shopping malls like Mitsukoshi, Matsuya and now also Ginza Six, before venturing off to some of the smaller side streets. It was shot just as the sky went from blue to black, so you can see the entire neighborhood slowly light up in this video.

Tokyo 4K - Beverly Hills of Japan - Driving Downtown - Ginza
Monday night drive down Chuo Dori Avenue in Ginza, Tokyo's version of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills surrounded by Los Angeles. Check out the Beverly Hills video here!
The Ginza Neighborhood is located in the center of Tokyo. Love this area! Truly impressive with all the lights. I'd also guess they vacuum their streets just like in Beverly Hills. Yes you heard that right, I've seen hotels vacuuming their sidewalks in Beverly Hills. Pretty funny to watch. I'll take a picture next time. Enjoy the video!
Tokyo, (東京 Tōkyō, ˈtoʊkioʊ) officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都 Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan. As of 2018, the Greater Tokyo Area ranked as the most populous metropolitan area in the world. The urban area houses the seat of the Emperor of Japan, of the Japanese government and of the National Diet. Tokyo is often referred to as a city but is officially known and governed as a metropolitan prefecture, which differs from and combines elements of a city and a prefecture, a characteristic unique to Tokyo.
The prefecture is part of the world's most populous metropolitan area called the Greater Tokyo Area with over 40 million people and the world's largest urban agglomeration economy. The 23 Special Wards of Tokyo were formerly Tokyo City. The latest estimate in 2019 shows the growing population of Tokyo with 13.9 million people, with the special wards 9.6 million, the Tama area 4.2 million, and the Islands 25,147. As of 2011, Tokyo hosted 51 of the Fortune Global 500 companies, the highest number of any city in the world at that time. Tokyo ranked third (twice) in the International Financial Centres Development Index. The city is home to various television networks such as Fuji TV, Tokyo MX, TV Tokyo, TV Asahi, Nippon Television, NHK and the Tokyo Broadcasting System.
Tokyo ranks first in the Global Economic Power Index and third in the Global Cities Index. The GaWC's 2018 inventory classified Tokyo as an alpha+ world city – and as of 2014 TripAdvisor's World City Survey ranked Tokyo first in its Best overall experience category (the city also ranked first in the following categories: helpfulness of locals, nightlife, shopping, local public transportation and cleanliness of streets). As of 2018 Tokyo ranked as the 2nd-most expensive city for expatriates, according to the Mercer consulting firm. and also the world's 11th-most expensive city according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's cost-of-living survey. In 2015, Tokyo was named the Most Liveable City in the world by the magazine Monocle. The Michelin Guide has awarded Tokyo by far the most Michelin stars of any city in the world. Tokyo was ranked first out of all sixty cities in the 2017 Safe Cities Index. It was also ranked the first in the 2019 safe cities index. The QS Best Student Cities ranked Tokyo as the 3rd-best city in the world to be a university student in 2016 and 2nd in 2018. Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics, the 1979 G-7 summit, the 1986 G-7 summit, and the 1993 G-7 summit, and will host the 2019 Rugby World Cup, the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Ginza (銀座) is a district of Chūō, Tokyo. It is a popular upscale shopping area of Tokyo, with numerous internationally renowned department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses located in its vicinity. It is considered one of the most expensive, elegant, and luxurious streets in the world.
Many leading fashion houses' flagship stores are located here, in the area with the highest concentration of Western shops in Tokyo. It is one of two locations in Tokyo considered by Chevalier and Mazzalovo to be the best locations for a luxury goods store. Prominent high-end retailers include the American company Carolina Herrera New York, French companies Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent and Italian company Gucci. Flagship electronic retail stores like the Sony showroom (which closed in 2017 and new building would open in 2022) and the Apple Store are also here (Ginza 2 chome). The electronics company, Ricoh is headquartered in the Ricoh Building in Ginza. The neighborhood is a major shopping district. It is home to Wako department store, which is located in a building dating from 1894. The building has a clock tower. There are many department stores in the area, including Hankyu, Seibu, and Matsuya, in which there are many shops: grocery stores, restaurants, women and men clothes, sports wear, and jewellers etc. There are also art galleries. Kanuki-za is the theater for kabuki, one of Japanese traditional playing, and locates on between Ginza and Tsukiji. The building was opened in 1889 and has been reconstructed several times because of war and fire. The present building was built in 2013.

Walking around Ginza - Tokyo - 銀座 - 4K Ultra HD
Ginza is the epitome of luxe for Japanese and tourist alike. While many like to compare Ginza to the Champs-Élysées (France), Ginza is in many ways different from its French counterpart. With new and luxurious buildings popping-up from the ground every single year, Ginza has many things to offer regardless of your personal wealth. But, if you are on a tight budget, why not visiting this iconic Japanese district on a Sunday when its major road is close to any cars and fully open to the public.

TOKYO, Japan travel guide: Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market, Ginza Six, Uniqlo | vlog 5
Ginza, Tokyo, JAPAN! Ginza is Tokyo's most exclusive district and a must-visit place in Japan. When you visit Ginza, it's worth combining with a trip to Tsukiji Fish Market, a short walk from the metro station. Tsukiji Market is still a great place to visit if you want to start your day with some of the freshest sushi for breakfast. The famous early morning tuna auction is not at Tsukiji anymore, but that should not be a reason to skip it. With your tummy full, you're now ready to burn some calories walking in Ginza. Go on a weekend afternoon to see Chuo Dori closed. That's where you find all the designer stores, the new Ginza Six mall and the famed Japanese clothing line Uniqlo. Uniqlo's flagship store is located in Ginza.

► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

Ginza Central Street is a shopping street that runs for about 1 km between Kyobashi in the north and Shimbashi in the south. In particular, the Ginza Wako clock tower facing the Ginza 4-chome intersection is a landmark of Ginza.
The street becomes a pedestrian paradise on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
