GUERNSEY, EXPLORING beautiful ST PETER PORT ???? (CHANNEL ISLANDS)
SUBSCRIBE: - Saint Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey as well as the main port. The population in 2001 was 16,488. In Guernésiais and in French, historically the official language of Guernsey, the name of the town and its surrounding parish is St Pierre Port. Guernsey is one of the Channel Islands in the English Channel near the French coast, and is a self-governing British Crown dependency. It's known for beach resorts like Cobo Bay and the scenery of its coastal cliffs. Castle Cornet, a 13th-century harbor fortification in the capital of St. Peter Port, now contains history and military museums. Hauteville House is the lavish former home of French writer, Victor Hugo.

Some footage that was videoed by my friend during our holiday to Guernsey 2011. This is the wonderful historic town of St Peter Port.
St Peter Port Guernsey
St Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey and the main port, Guernsey in the Channel Islands are part of United Kingdom and situated just off the French Normandy coats in the English Channel.
As we sail into St Sampsoms Harbour past the lighthouse and Castle Cornet and lovely views of the sea front, as we go around the town you will see the town church, restaurants shops, craft market. I hope you enjoy this short film as I didn't have much time to film.

This is a VHS recording that I made in early 1986. Apologies for the poor quality pictures - it wasn't a
good video camera.
It is interesting to see how some areas have changed since 30 years ago - particularly around town.

A tour of St Peter Port Harbour, Guernsey
A tour of the historic harbour of St. Peter Port harbour, Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
A harbour of sorts has been here since 1294. In those days sailing ships would have moored against the quay, or sea wall as it was, to load and unload goods. The whole area where the bus station is now, was reclaimed from the sea in 1854. There is a lot more historic facts on the video.
As you may see from my videos, I do quite a bit of filming at St. Peter Port harbour.

As soon as I saw it I knew what sound track and processing I wanted. I couldn't believe that when I got home my walk through is just about perfectly timed with the sound track.
