The Ginza (銀座) is Tokyo's most famous upmarket shopping, dining, and entertainment district, featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.
One square meter of land in the district's center is worth over ten million yen, making it one of the most expensive real estate in Japan. It is where you can find the infamous $10 cups of coffee and where virtually every leading brand name in fashion and cosmetics has a presence.
From 1612 to 1800, today's Ginza district was the site of a silver coin mint (Ginza means silver mint in Japanese), after which the district was eventually named. The Ginza evolved as an upmarket shopping district following the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake.
Most shops in the Ginza district are open every day of the week. A visit is most pleasant on weekend afternoons when the central Chuo Dori street is closed to automobile traffic and become a large pedestrian zone. The road closure takes place from 12:00 to 17:00 (until 18:00 from April through September).

Sony Entertainment Center & Ginza tourist attraction in Tokyo
Quick afternoon visit to Ginza and the Sony Entertainment Centre. Spent the afternoon browsing through the Sony Entertainment Building and visiting stores selling very expensive items. There were quite a few interesting sweet shops I didn't see anywhere else. Then I bought dinner at the foot court of a department store. Quite an interesting experience.
TOKYO, Japan travel guide: Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market, Ginza Six, Uniqlo | vlog 5
Ginza, Tokyo, JAPAN! Ginza is Tokyo's most exclusive district and a must-visit place in Japan. When you visit Ginza, it's worth combining with a trip to Tsukiji Fish Market, a short walk from the metro station. Tsukiji Market is still a great place to visit if you want to start your day with some of the freshest sushi for breakfast. The famous early morning tuna auction is not at Tsukiji anymore, but that should not be a reason to skip it. With your tummy full, you're now ready to burn some calories walking in Ginza. Go on a weekend afternoon to see Chuo Dori closed. That's where you find all the designer stores, the new Ginza Six mall and the famed Japanese clothing line Uniqlo. Uniqlo's flagship store is located in Ginza.

► WHO AM I?
Short answer: I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely camera shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ;-)

Walking in Ginza, Tokyo - The Famous Shopping District - 4K, 60FPS
Oh Ginza... Once a place where upper-class Tokyoites of the older generation went for their weekend shopping. These days however, it feels more like a big tourist trap where entire shops seems to be designed only for visitors arriving in tour buses, looking to bring back as much tax-free goods as possible...
It's still one of the most visually interesting areas in Tokyo though, thanks to the long wide roads lit up by all the upscale brands trying to outdo each other.
In this video, shot on a weekend evening, I'm covering the entire main street (Chuo-Dori), famous for upscale shopping malls like Mitsukoshi, Matsuya and now also Ginza Six, before venturing off to some of the smaller side streets. It was shot just as the sky went from blue to black, so you can see the entire neighborhood slowly light up in this video.

Narita Airport to Tokyo - Complete Japan Travel Guide
Here are tips to get to and from Narita Airport. I've lived in Japan for almost 15 years now and this advice is based on all my experiences. Hope this video helps.
Check out more info at
//Timelines//
0:12-Intro
0:13-1:07 Overview of transportation options to Narita Airport
The options are...
-Express Train - Narita Express and Keisei Skyliner
-Local Bus
-Bus - LCC and limousine
-Taxi
Basically LCC buses are the cheapest way to go, and express trains and limousine are about the same price.
1:08-1:28 Overview of express train
-Narita Express is great for people staying in south west area including Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo.
-Keisei Skyliner is great for people staying in north east area including Ueno and Nippori.
1:29-2:52 How to ride the express train
-From the Airport:
When you arrive at Narita Airport, go to B1. You will find RED Narita Express ticket booth and machines on the right and BLUE Skyliner ticket booth and machines on the left.
-To the Airport:
N'EX - Go to your nearest JR station to buy ticket. You can buy tickets even though express train does not stop at your nearest station.
Skyliner - Go to Nippori or Ueno to buy tickets.
2:52-4:05 Tips on express train
Tip 1 - Arrive to the station 15-20 minutes early (on return)
There is always a long line at the ticket booth and the platform to get on the train might be quite far from the gate so make sure to arrive early.
Tip 2 - Use ticket machine when in hurry
Usually you don't need to wait in line for ticket machines to buy a ticket and takes only about 5 minutes. Consider this as an option when you are in hurry.
Tip 3 - Sit at the front of the car
Luggage compartment is located at the front and the end of the each car of express train. People get stuck when getting the luggage upon arrivals. It is stressful to worry about if you can get out or not so it's good to sit at the front. (the end is ok too.)
Note: About tickets
when you buy tickets by credit card, you will receive 3 tickets - an express train ticket, receipt, and credit card receipt. You need to show only the train ticket to the train attendant.
CORRECTION: X 4 ticket → ◉ 3 tickets
(I was with my gf so we had 4 tickets.)
4:05 - 5:22 Bus
- LCC (Tokyo Shuttle and Access Narita) can take you to/from Tokyo and Ginza Station.
- Limousine Bus runs to/from major hotels.
5:23 - 6:05 How to take the bus
-Limousine Bus and Tokyo Shuttle - At Narita Airport on the first floor, you can find ticket machines and man booth.
-Access Narita - All you need to do is go to the train stop and pay on the bus. No reservation needed.

Monday night drive down Chuo Dori Avenue in Ginza, Tokyo's version of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills surrounded by Los Angeles. Check out the Beverly Hills video here!
The Ginza Neighborhood is located in the center of Tokyo. Love this area! Truly impressive with all the lights. I'd also guess they vacuum their streets just like in Beverly Hills. Yes you heard that right, I've seen hotels vacuuming their sidewalks in Beverly Hills. Pretty funny to watch. I'll take a picture next time. Enjoy the video!

It is considered one of the most expensive, elegant, and luxurious streets in the world.
Many leading fashion houses' flagship stores are located here, in the area with the highest concentration of Western shops in Tokyo. It is one of two locations in Tokyo considered by Chevalier and Mazzalovo to be the best locations for a luxury goods store. Prominent high-end retailers include the American company Carolina Herrera New York, French companies Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent and Italian company Gucci. Flagship electronic retail stores like the Sony showroom (which closed in 2017 and new building would open in 2022) and the Apple Store are also here (Ginza 2 chome). The electronics company, Ricoh is headquartered in the Ricoh Building in Ginza. The neighborhood is a major shopping district. It is home to Wako department store, which is located in a building dating from 1894. The building has a clock tower. There are many department stores in the area, including Hankyu, Seibu, and Matsuya, in which there are many shops: grocery stores, restaurants, women and men clothes, sports wear, and jewellers etc. There are also art galleries. Kanuki-za is the theater for kabuki, one of Japanese traditional playing, and locates on between Ginza and Tsukiji. The building was opened in 1889 and has been reconstructed several times because of war and fire. The present building was built in 2013.

Tokyo Walk & Talk #001 - A Guided Tour of Akihabara - Summer 2019 - 4K 60FPS
Celebrating 5000 subscribers with a new kind of video on this channel!
For a long time, I've been thinking about what I could do to make my channel more useful/interesting/entertaining. In the end, I figured out that, why not share some of my knowledge about this city?! Think of me as your private tour guide, as we walk through the streets of Tokyo. The video is the same as the one posted a few days ago, but this time you'll also hear me explain more about the places we visit, where we are, what we see, and to some extent also what I think. I hope you'll like it!
As always, any feedback is more than welcome. If you like this concept, please let me know, and I might turn it into a regular segment on this channel. Also, if there's anything specific related to life or travel in Japan that you would like me to explain or talk about in next video, please comment below and I'll do my best to answer your questions in a future video!
And for those of you who prefer the original sounds without talking - don't worry! I will, of course, keep uploading all the videos in their original & un-narrated form in the future as well!
Original description below:
Back again to paradise for all geeks and otaku - It's time for another Akihabara video!
This time I'm visiting on a weekday in the summer of 2019. It's been a while since my last video from here, and some parts have changed since my last visit, most notably the big new building next to the JR Akihabara Sation Building.
This time I'm starting at Akihabara Station, before heading down to Chuo-Dori, the main street filled with game centers, anime and manga goods shops. I will also take you through several of the smaller back streets in the area as well.
As someone requested a video where I walk slower, I tried to take it a bit easier than usual this time. Hopefully, that also helps with the stability of the video, please let me know what you think about the quality in the comments below.
This was filmed on a weekday in July 2019.

Exploring Ginza, Golden Gai and Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan
We left Thailand and made our way to Tokyo, Japan. We flew with Japan Airlines, it was one of the best airlines that we had ever experienced. The food and service was superior to other airlines we had flown before.
When we arrived in Tokyo airport we had no Japanese Yen, luckily there were plenty of ATMS. The only issue was the ATMS we’re in Japanese and didn’t explain anything in English. We ended up trying two different ATMS in the airport before we figured out how to get cash out at the 3rd ATM. It was late at night and the train was no longer running so we had to take a taxi to our hotel.
Tokyo is not well known for driving by car, most people use the subways or trains. Driving from the airport to our hotel was super fast, there was no traffic on the road, which at the time we thought it was because it was so late at night; However we quickly learned it was because no one drives in Tokyo or at least almost no one.
We had a week to spend in Tokyo and we had lot’s of things we wanted to do. Our hotel was in the Ginza district which is well known for it’s shopping and restaurants, we spent a day exploring the area. Another day we made our way to Golden Gai, this was one of our favourite areas, it’s filled with small boutique restaurants and bars and is located in the Shinjuku area. This area was also a ton of fun to explore and offered a few different vegetarian restaurants.
To get around Tokyo, we learned the most affordable way was to purchase a 3 day tourist pass. It’s a discounted subway pass, getting the ticket proved to be a little tricky. If you watch the entire video we made, near the end we will show you where the ticket office was located.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada we started an activewear business with nothing but a $5,000 credit card. Over 5 years we grew to over a million dollars in sales, and had our products sold in hundreds of stores, we were featured on Dragons Den, Bloomberg and much more!
As the business grew it was becoming more stressful, and more expensive to keep up with the growth. In April 2019 we decided that we had enough and decided to sell everything and travel the world in search of adventure, happiness and new experiences. We started this YouTube channel to share our memories with family and friends, and even more so as a way to document our memories for ourselves! Tokyo 4K - Driving Downtown - Japan 東京 日本
Tuesday afternoon drive in in the heart of central Tokyo (downtown as we call it in America). The two main specific districts are Chiyoda (The seat of Japanese power (both political and economic) that includes the Imperial Palace, the Ministries near Kasumigaseki, the Parliament in Nagatacho, the corporate headquarters of Marunouchi, and the electronics mecca of Akihabara) and Chuo (known for the famed department stores of Ginza and the outer market of Tsukiji.) In today's video we take our puppies out for a walk to visit Nezu Shrine and the Shitamachi Matsuri.
We then walk over the the Yanaka Ginza area for some shopping and sightseeing.
Yanaka (谷中) is one of the few districts in Tokyo where the shitamachi atmosphere, an old town ambiance reminiscent of Tokyo from past decades, still survives. Throughout the district, there is an air of nostalgia and a rustic charm.
