A museum dedicated to the history of Jewish music - both in the Diaspora and in Israel - opened to the public on Sunday. But a section devoted to the building of the Third Biblical Temple is raising some eyebrows.

1 Praise the Lord.[a]
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.

Hava Nagila (הבה נגילה) is a popular Jewish-Ukrainian Hebrew folk song meaning let's rejoice that had become a stable band performance in Jewish weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
The soundtrack of Hava Nagila was used in a dance performance by Jewish Israeli and India Punjabi dancers at the Downtown Bhangra 2011 VIBC City of Bhangra Festival 2011. It is Hollywood and Bollywood in Vancouver. For the first time ever, the Jewish Community Centre and Surrey India Arts worked on creating a Punjabi-Israel fusion song and dance number.
This unique presentation that combined the two diverse cultures was performed at the Vancouver Art Gallery grounds on May 13, 2011. A truly one-of-a-kind Bollywood in Vancouver experience. Bring on Downtown Bhangra 2012!!

Jewish-Yemeni culture comes alive in the music of Yemen Blues
Meet Ravid Kahalani, songwriter and lead singer of the popular Israeli band 'Yemen Blues.'
Ravid grew up in Israel surrounded by Jewish-Yemeni culture and later discovered his love for African music and Balkan orthodox liturgy. His music merges all these sounds to create a completely unique style. It's only natural for him to sing in Yemeni-Arabic, and he dreams of performing in Yemen one day.
Holy Land Tour of all the Major Bible Sites of Israel with Lovely Music and Narration
See the highlights of all the biblical sites in Israel in a peaceful, relaxing setting! Tour the Holy Land and see places like, Jerusalem, Sea of Galilee, Jordan Valley, Masada, Capernaum, and more.
Israel . . . Land of the Bible . . . Land of Faith . . . the Holy Land, revered throughout recorded history as the cradle of monotheistic religion. For a person of faith whose beliefs are rooted in the Bible, there is no place on earth like the Holy Land. In this narrow strip of land lies the source of religious belief of much of mankind. Here, amongst the barren hills and fertile plains, man’s spirit learned to soar and from here a new message went out to all the world: “. . . and many peoples shall come, and say, “Come, let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord, to the House of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. For out of Zion (Hill next to Jerusalem) will go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:3,4).
The unique factor about the Holy Land is its special location in the World. Situated as it is, straddling the divide between Africa and Asia, the area has almost always been a battleground. Wave after wave of conquerors poured into it, anxious to control the strategic trade routes linking the centers of the ancient world. It’s not by accident that it’s virtually in the center of the world. In God’s master plan of creation, He decided to place Israel exactly in the center of His creation. Located on a tiny land bridge between Africa and Asia, there is no other way to get between the two of them except through Israel. It’s located on the crossroads of the world. Whoever wanted to trade between the two continents, or control the known world, had to conquer and control Israel. For this reason, there have been more wars and events that have taken place in Israel than any other country on earth. God positioned Israel in its unique location in order to influence the world and be on “Center Stage” so all of creation would know that He alone is God.
For nearly 2,000 years, Christian visitors from all over the world have come to the Holy Land, the land of their spiritual heritage. With Bible in hand, they have walked the places Jesus walked and prayed in the places He preached and prayed. For Christians, Israel is a place like no other. It provides them a one of a kind opportunity to experience the land of the Bible, to deepen their faith, and to be spiritually transformed for a lifetime.

Israel Museum Video - Israel Museum Must See
Watch in 360 Israel Museum Video - The Israel Museum (Hebrew: מוזיאון ישראל, Muze'on Yisrael) was founded in 1965 as Israel's national museum. It is situated on a hill in the Givat Ram neighborhood of Jerusalem, near the Bible Lands Museum, the Knesset, the Israeli Supreme Court, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Among the unique objects on display are the Venus of Berekhat Ram; the interior of a 1736 Zedek ve Shalom synagogue from Suriname; necklaces worn by Jewish brides in Yemen; a mosaic Islamic prayer niche from 17th-century Persia; and a nail attesting to the practice of crucifixion in Jesus’ time. An urn-shaped building on the grounds of the museum, the Shrine of the Book, houses the Dead Sea Scrolls and artifacts discovered at Masada. It is one of the largest museums in the region.
What Music might Moses have heard as a Child in Egypt?
The Music of Moses - an improvisation for lyre in an ancient Egyptian scale. The inspiration behind this improvisation, was to evoke the kind of music Moses may have actually heard as a child whilst raised in the Pharaoh's court - this piece forms track 1 of my 2008 debut CD album, King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel:
The haunting minor pentatonic scale featured in this improvisation, was deciphered by the late professor Hans Hickmann of the Museum on Cairo, from ancient Egyptian cheironomy gestures - an ancient system of musical notation, whereby specific hand gestures represented specific changes in pitch:
This album of 22 tracks, (representing each of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet), attempts to evoke the music of Biblical times, featuring a selection of primarily repertoire from both sacred Jewish music and instrumental klezmer music, arranged for a modern evocation of the 10-string Biblical lyre known in ancient Hebrew as the 'Kinnor' - the lyre once played by King David and later, by my very own, very ancient Levite ancestors in the Temple of Jerusalem to accompany the singing of the Levitical Choir:
A selection of tracks from King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel will be featured in perpetuity, as the soundscapes being created for the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC, due to open in November 2017.
King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel is available from all major digital music stores and streaming sites, including iTunes, Amazon & Spotify - physical CD's available from both CD Baby & Amazon!
