Hjálparfoss Iceland
Hjálparfoss is one of several waterfalls in the south of Iceland situated in the lava fields north of the stratovolcano Hekla near the point where the rivers Fossá and Þjórsá join. Hjálparfoss is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of the village Flúðir and can be reached by a gravel road off Route 32

Hjálparfoss is one of several waterfalls in Thjorsardalur, South Region, Iceland.
Hjalparfoss (HYAL-par-foss; meaning the helping falls) was a pretty unique double waterfall that joined at its base into a very large plunge pool surrounded by some rugged lava formations.

Hjalparfoss - Waterfalls of Iceland - HD
Hjálparfoss is in the South of Iceland, along the Ring Road. What I loved about this waterfall was the exploration at the top, weaving around rock structures erupting from the ground, and the beautiful peaceful view at the bottom. A sharp island of rock cuts the river in half as it tumbles down, creating a pair of twin falls.

Not many people visit this awesome place because it's accessible only by 4x4. But I met some people who parked their small sedan a couple kilometers away from the parking lot and walked to the waterfall. With 4x4, it's only 5 minutes from the parking lot to the waterfall.
