Jerusalem, Israel: Jewish Quarter and New City
More info about travel to Jerusalem: In Jerusalem’s New City, we appreciate this culture’s fascinating mix of east and west, secular and sacred, modern and traditional. While it’s not convenient or economical to live in the medieval tangle of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem, Israel, devout Jews find great joy in living and raising their families so close to the Western Wall.
At you'll find money-saving travel tips, small-group tours, guidebooks, TV shows, radio programs, podcasts, and more on this destination.

The Jewish Quarter | Jerusalem, Israel 2018
Come travel with me to Jerusalem, Israel. This 2nd part video from the Holy Land showcases the beauty and breathtaking sites we witnessed as well as the emotional side to it. My intention in recording the Holy Land was for my Grandmother to see after coming back from Germany. Unfortunately, my Grandmother passed away on our way back home and never got the opportunity to see and hear of our adventures. With so much thought, I am slowly working my way into editing these clips for others to enjoy.
Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below as my sister & I plan on making a video answering any questions people may have regarding our trip or planning a trip to Israel.
Stay Tuned....

My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

MEA SHEARIM the ultra-orthodox JEWISH neighborhood in JERUSALEM
Mea Shearim is an experience not to be missed in Jerusalem. This Jewish neighborhood is mainly inhabitted by Haredis jews, an ultra-orthodox group which keep themselves away from the modernity and follow strick adherence to Jewish law.
Residents avoid the use of Internet, smartphones and even watching television. Men dress in traditional black frock coats and women wear thick black stocking and long-sleeved modest clothing. Visitors are expected also to dress modesty. Posters in Hebrew and English are hung at every entrance to remind this.
In this video we walk along the Mea Shearim's main street and we enter in a few traditional shops. We talk to a few locals who are friendly to us.

JERUSALEM: The WALLS of the OLD CITY, from the ARMENIAN to JEWISH QUARTER ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the Old City of Jerusalem and let's walk on the defensive walls, starting from Jaffa Gate and by completing our walk at Dung Gate. We will be walking around the Armenian and the Jewish quarters. The Walls of Jerusalem surround the Old City of Jerusalem ( which is approx. on square kilometer in size). In 1535, when Jerusalem was part of the Ottoman Empire, Sultan Suleiman I ordered the ruined city walls to be rebuilt. The work took some four years, between 1537 and 1541.
The length of the walls is 4,018 meters (2.5 miles), their average height is 12 meters (39.37 feet) and the average thickness is 2.5 meters (8.2 feet). The walls contain 34 watchtowers and seven main gates open for traffic, we will start our walk from Jaffa Gate on the western side of the Old City.
Jerusalem is a city in the Middle East, located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
