The Israeli Palestinian Conflict: 10 Myths Preventing Peace
The Jerusalem Institute of Justice scripts the Israeli Palestinian conflict which is an often misunderstood political battleground where facts are mixed with opinion, preference, and prejudice. There's so much confusion around the conflict that we want to bring light to what is truth and what is myth. What issues are actually standing in the way of bringing peace between the Israelis and Palestinians? How does their fight over land complicate the conflict? And what role to political leaders like Yasser Arafat and Ehud Barak play along with organizations like UNRWA? These are questions we uncover in these 10 myths that are preventing peace in Palestine and Israel.

The Search for Peace & Justice in the Holy Land: Jerusalem: City of Peace with Danny Seidemann
Danny Seidemann is the founder of “Terrestrial Jerusalem,” a website that documents the full spectrum of developments in Jerusalem that could impact either the political process or permanent status options, destabilize the city or spark violence, or create humanitarian crises. He speaks in this clip on the importance of Jerusalem to all three faith communities and the central place of Jerusalem to the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict. The well being of the Christian community in Jerusalem, he notes, is a bellwether indicator of the health of religious pluralism in the city as a whole.

ISRAEL: JORDAN'S KING HUSSEIN TO VISIT JERUSALEM
English/Nat
King Hussein of Jordan is flying to Israel, Sunday, to meet the families whose children were shot dead by a Jordanian soldier, during a school trip on the border between the two countries.
Hussein is visiting to offer his condolences in person, after seven schoolchildren died in the attack, which left six others injured.
And the King is expected to use the opportunity to meet with Israeli leaders to try and dissuade them from their plans to build Jewish homes in Arab east Jerusalem.
Final preparations were underway in Jerusalem for the visit of King Hussein of Jordan, Sunday.
The Jordanian flag fluttered alongside the Israeli one outside the Prime Minister's office in Jerusalem.
A symbol of togetherness perhaps, despite recent criticism by King Hussein over the Israeli government's plan to build thousands of Jewish homes in Arab East Jerusalem.
Following the shocking murders of seven schoolchildren, by a Jordanian soldier, last week, the King requested permission to visit the bereaved families and offer his condolences.
King Hussein will also visit the two girls recovering from the attack at Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital.
The visit is likely to be used as an opportunity for the King to talk to Israeli leaders and he is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Ezer Weizman,
Har Homa to the Jews or Jabal Abu Ghneim to the Palestinians is one of the obstacles in the path to peace.
This part of east Jerusalem is where the Palestinians hope to base their capital and the Israeli governments plans to build here has added to the problems of the peace talks.
Israel captured east Jerusalem from Jordan in the 1967 Mideast War and later annexed it.
And the government is determined the city will remain united under Israeli sovereignty.
Distrust between the two sides was evident after the Israeli Minister for Justice Tsahi Hanegbi warned if Arafat condoned violence he would find himself in exile once again.
And Palestinians have reacted to this strongly.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
I don't want to react like their way because we have seen all those polite people and we don't use those kind of expressions, but in one (word unclear), this is a matter of rudeness and not accepted by anybody, and we know that Mr Tsahi he is born, his family, his mother you remember were one of those fanatics and extremists in Israel and she feed him through her milk while he is a child the bitterness and hateness for Palestinians.
SUPER CAPTION: Freih Abu Medein, Minister of Justice, for the Palestinian Authority
In Beit Shemesh, outside Jerusalem, the Malka family and their relatives were still in mourning, trying to come to terms with the loss of Adi who was one of the schoolgirls who was shot.
But they said they appreciated King Hussein's visit.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
I think this is very kind, its a good kind, I mean it's kind to help the mother.
SUPER CAPTION: Sara Malka
This is the only the King's second visit to Israeli-controlled Jerusalem. The first was for Yitzhak Rabin's funeral in November 1995.

LYRICS:
When He rolls up His sleeves
He ain't just puttin' on the Ritz
(our God is an Awesome God)
There is thunder in His footsteps
And lightning in His fists
(our God is an Awesome God)
Well the Lord He wasn't jokin'
When He kicked 'em out of Eden
It wasn't for no reason that He shed His blood
His return is very close and so you better be believin'
That our God is an Awesome God
Our God (our God) is an Awesome God
He reigns (He reigns) from heaven above
With wisdom (with wisdom) power and love
Our God is an Awesome God
When the sky was starless in the void of the night
(our God is an awesome God)
He spoke into the darkness and created the light
(our God is an awesome God)
Judgement and wrath He poured out the Sodom
Mercy and grace He gave us at the cross
I hope that we have not too quickly forgotten that
Our God is an Awesome God

East Jerusalem: Israel holds Netanyahu's pre-indictment corruption hearing
Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's pretrial hearing began behind closed doors at Israel's justice ministry in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday. Protesters were seen outside the building as members of Netanyahu's defence team arrived.
Netanyahu who was absent at the hearing could face charges of fraud and breach of trust in three separate corruption cases as well as bribery in one of them.
He rejected the accusations saying he was the victim of a 'witch-hunt' organised by the media and leftist political groups to push him out of office. The hearing comes two weeks after Netanyahu failed to win an outright majority in a snap general election.
The pretrial hearing is set to last for four days, during which Netanyahu's lawyers will try to persuade prosecutors not to bring criminal charges against him.

INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE
MOUNT ZION, JERUSALEM
The emergence of the light of law and kindness and its manifestation from Zion in Jerusalem, the city of David, is the basis of the Messianic vision that indicates the concept of the end of days.
Carrying out justice and grace by virtue of G-d’s law from the place of enlightenment from Zion, the city of justice, the faithful town, is a prerequisite for peace among peoples, nations and states just as peace between them constitutes peace among all nations of the world.
Law, truth justice and mercy and their implementation bring peace to the entire world.
Justice does not attempt to replace the concept of the Messiah. Rather it aims to draw inspiration from the prophetic passages through which it seeks to operate.
The source of all peoples of the world came from those who left the Ark: those descendents of the sons of Noah who were dispersed to all ends of the world after they rebelled against G-d and divided into seventy factions, nations, and linguistic groups. Their borders changed. Their actions resulted from their jealousies and competition as exemplified by the story of Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, who killed his brother Hevel out of jealousy. Both individuals and groups operate with the same motivations. Therefore there is a clear need for an international legal institution that deals with justice and carries out justice according to the laws of G-d, the most important of which are biblical laws.
Judgment must be carried out according to “laws”, fixed laws and not result from induction or inspiration. Legal duty is the cornerstone of the Noachite Covenant according to concepts of fairness and accepted custom in legal terms.
A major role of the court is to prevent injustice, violence, robbery and trampling of rights among others. The court exists to judge and admonish peoples, states and nationalities in order to prevent hostility, to return stolen property from those who exploit it, to prevent destruction and vandalization of lands and countryside and indeed of all creation. Its overriding purpose is to bring peace to the world and prevent warfare and bloodshed.
Wherever UN treaties and their courts including recognized international courts, do not contradict the basic tenets of the Bible and its universal laws, they will remain valid and accepted as will their decisions, actions, legal theories and legal traditions including principles of natural law and justice, normative and accepted laws of evidence.
The court will decide disputes and prefer arbitration over trials.
The court will not intervene in decisions of the above international tribunals that have no provable basic errors unless they contradict the laws of the Bible as interpreted and applied to current conditions of life.
Wherever decisions of the international tribunals mentioned above oppose the laws of the Bible and work against them and wherever they contradict or even strive against the basic positions of the Bible, they will have no validity and are essentially null and void.
This court will decide its cases according to the inspiration of the Bible and its laws. Its considerations will include opinions of the judges, the rules of natural justice, customary and normative rules of deliberation. The judges will endeavor to learn from the traditions of every nation and their experiences and take into account considerations of justice and kindness.
Every well-known ethnic society that has its own language, traditions, and customs will have the right to appear in judgment before this court including sovereign states or groups of states.

Palestine considering reporting Israel to the ICC
Palestine is considering applying to the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice over human right violations in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Palestine's ambassador to South Africa, Hanan Jarrar, says Donald Trump's proposed Middle East Peace Plan legitimises violations of international law by Israel.
