VALLE DE GUADALUPE | Wine Tasting in Mexico's Wine Country!
La Ruta del Vino is exactly what it sounds like, a stretch of highway in Baja California that is home to vineyards producing nearly 70% of all wine in Mexico. We had heard wonderful stories of this part of Mexico, and ultimately decided to pay it a visit ourselves. The drive down through the rocky terrain and into wine country was absolutely gorgeous.
The vineyards themselves were fantastic as well. We visited four different wineries, each offering their own unique blends, foods, and atmospheres. It was easy to see why Valle de Guadalupe has been getting more and more coverage as the years go by. The beauty of the region (and the delicious wine) left us wanting to spend more time in the area.
During our Valle de Guadalupe Vineyard Tour, we stopped in at the following:
- Hacienda Guadalupe
- Lechuza Vineyard
- Cieli Winery
- Vinas de Garza

AC EXPLORES VALLE DE GUADALUPE
Hi Explorers,
If you follow me on my socials you would have noticed that I recently took a trip down to Valle De Guadalupe in Mexico. It's Mexico's finest wine country and one of the fastest growing regions in food and wine in the world. I was privileged enough to get invited on this amazing influencer trip among a group of amazing latina women. Boca Roja Wine Adventures set this amazing trip up for us and took us down for an adventure discovering Valle De Guadalupe's hidden gems. To those of you who don't know much about Valle, most people compare it to Napa Valley; amazing food, wine, and views. One thing that was extremely special about our trip to Valle De Guadalupe with Boca Roja Wine Adventures was that they took us to meet some of the most influential women from Valle who have helped make it become what it is today. An amazing place for people to come visit and taste some great wine paired with some good food.
Wineries and Restaurants we visited were:
Adobe Food Truck
Adobe Guadalupe Winery
Lechuza Winery
Encuentro
Cuartos Cuartos

Berry Good Noche Dinner in Valle de Guadalupe
In November 2018 the annual Berry Good Night dinner crossed the border from San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe, Baja, and raised $18,000 for local school gardens as Berry Good Noche. Nine chefs and several local food and beverage producers created a multi-course meal at Troika adjacent to Vena Cava winery and La Villa del Valle. Wine-ing in style | Guadalupe Valley, Baja California
The Guadalupe Valley in Baja California is located South of Tijuana and Tecate, and East of Ensenada on Highway 3. This up and coming valley of vineyards is absolutely gorgeous and there are many great wines being produced here.
Our recommended wineries on this adventure were Monte Xanic and Sol de Media Noche. These were the last 2 wines that were reviewed.
