Glass Blowing in Malta
Glass blowing in Malta, at Valletta and Mdina glass. Highly skilled craftsmen blow small molten glass blobs into pretty bowls. Entry is free, and you get this close to the skilled craftsmen. Plenty of nice glassware in the shops!

Malta | Part 7/8 | Mdina Glass, Mosta, Mdina Gate, Rabat & Golden Bay
Part 7/8 of our Malta holiday.
After another early-ish rise, we jump on another city sightseeing bus and head through Sliema to Valletta and on towards Mdina Glass to view some beautiful hand crafted glass making.
Our next stop was Mosta. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend an awful lot of time here but we did view a church with a large domed roof - one of the biggest in Europe I believe. During the second world war, the church was bombed but the roof miraculously never caved in.
Next stop, Mdina Gate. Here they have a dungeon and some beautiful narrow streets which were used as filming locations for Gladiator and Game of Thrones season 1.
We journeyed onto the Catacombs in Rabat which we found amazing. There were some VERY narrow stone corridors leading to some staircases, tons of rooms and even some human remains - creepy!
Before heading back to Sliema, we made our last stop at Golden Bay, which wasn't so Golden when we arrived. The wind was strong and the sun behind clouds. We swiftly decided to leave the beach and visit Popeye Village. We knew the general direction and hoped for the best.
