Bangkok sure does like its shopping malls to be gigantic! Located halfway between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the centre of Bangkok, Mega Bangna is the latest mammoth to hit town.
This 35,000 square metres low rise shopping mall is mainly known as the home of IKEA,
This is not a high-end shopping mall for tourists but a very convenient escape for locals and residents over the weekend.
If you happen to be in transit at Suvarnabhumi International Airport for a day, this could be a way to spend a few hours, it's easy to reach by taxi usually within 30 minutes, j
The Mega Bangna shopping mall perhaps surpasses all others in the country.
I guess it’s probably one of the best outdoor shopping malls in the world. With its size, huge varieties of shops and food, one never gets bored. You can easily spend a whole day here! Highly recommended!

Tour of Fairtex Bang Phli
Well here is a tour of Fairtex Bang Phli (Bangplee). I was training there with the rest of Team USA for about 2 weeks for the 2009 IFMA World Muaythai Championships. The camp is top notch when it comes to one on one training, the trainers are all experienced fighters, very knowledgable and very friendly as well. I had a blast while at Fairtex and would definately go back.

這裡除了滑道遊趣區外，還有運動直排輪區、雷射槍競賽區、雷射碰碰車、迷你城市駕訓班、多媒體互動區。
以上都是我個人很推的區域，另外一個是除了跑跑跳跳的區域外，我很建議大家都可去多媒體互動區玩一下，小朋友可以認識使用多媒體電子化的互動產生不一樣的樂趣喔！
話說無論你是玩耍前或是玩耍後，在MEGA Bangna百貨可以逛街、餐廳也很多，直接在這裡花一天也值得，建議也能將小朋友跟爸爸丟入室內遊樂園，媽媽跟其他朋友去逛街喝咖啡或看個電影，大概四小時後再來接就可。哈哈哈哈哈哈！（沒在泰國看過電影的人也很值得推一下看電影（喂））

Before heading off to Hua Hin and after returning we stayed at the At Ease Residence. I love the Bang Na / Bang Phli neighborhoods with all of the markets and fresh food stands. The nightlife is good to with lots of karaoke bars and nightclubs. Sukhumvit and Soi Cowboy have their place but when you want to experience real Thai life, this is the neighborhood to be in.

We stayed here twice and both times the staff was overly nice and someone was always available even at 4AM for our requested early checkout. I have a video on these rooms on YouTube, just search At Ease Residence on the MyDamTrip channel to see them. On both occasions the rooms were impeccably clean and have the amenities you would expect for the price. There is gated secure parking with magnetic locking doors to the hotel and cameras on every floor. The added security made me feel comfortable especially having a rental SUV with an exposed spare tire (it's common to have these stolen). The Bang Phli/Bang Na neighborhoods along Theparak are loaded with day and night markets as well as bars and night clubs just a few minutes walk in either direction (East is a little closer). I have never waited more than 2 minutes for a taxi. This area does not see a lot of tourists so if you want to be surrounded by true daily Thai life this is the place to be. The At Ease Residence is on a side street, you need to be going slow to catch the turn, it is just at the end of the bridge. There is a small sign to help guide you but it is hard to see. Use the Google Maps Navigation App. The balconies face the canal so you need to be aware that mosquitos are about however you will encounter mosquitos all over Thailand especially when staying in hotels that have gardens and natural surroundings so be prepared. The beds are very hard as the other reviewers have stated. I rolled up a towel under my lower back for comfort however again, consider the price. There is a small store on site that cooks great food and has necessities from beer to laundry soap and the owners are very nice and always smiling. Yes there are washers on site and a secured drying rack to hang dry your clothes. There is a dryer but it's a little small to get the job done. You'll find clothes dryers are rare in Thailand anyway. My favorite part about this hotel (besides the security) is how the bathrooms are outside of the room. You walk through the balcony to get to the shower and the toilet. Being the male half of the couple I appreciated this as to not stink up the room. This is a 5 star stay for a budget conscious traveler with a rental car and the neighborhood is awesome. I gave 4 stars on the room rating only because the beds were hard.

The Bang Na Expressway (full name: Bang Na - Bang Phli - Bang Pakong Expressway), officially Burapha Withi Expressway (Thai: ทางพิเศษบูรพาวิถี), is a 55 km long six-lane elevated highway in Thailand. It is a toll road and runs above National Highway route 34, (Bang Na–Bang Pakong Highway) owned by the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT).
The highway is elevated onto a viaduct that has an average span length of 42 meters. It is a 27-meter wide box girder bridge and was completed in January 2000. It took 1,800,000 cubic meters of concrete to build the bridge. The structure was built using a design-build contracting method. The columns and superstructure were designed by Jean M. Muller (U.S.) and the alignment and foundations were designed by Asian Engineering Consultants (Thailand). The owner's engineer was Louis Berger Group (U.S.) and the project was built by a joint venture of Bilfinger + Berger (Germany) and Ch. Karnchang (Thailand).
There are two toll plazas on the elevated structure where the structure must widen to accommodate twelve lanes. The toll system is done by Kapsch TrafficCom AB (Sweden).
It is one of the longest bridges in the world (until 2010 it was the longest) but it is excluded from some lists since it does not cross a body of water for most of its length. The largest body of water that it crosses is the Bang Pakong River.

Space is not big but service is impressed. About 30 minutes from downtown and on Bangna going to Chonburi. The seafood especially the crab dishes are great. Reasonable prices. comfortable enough to enjoy the food a great Thai dinner
