Come and discover the cultural heritage of Iasi
Come and discover the cultural heritage of Iasi
Let yourself be delighted by a glamorous region of Iasi, whose culture represents an endless cultural heritage of Europe.
☑️ The Vasile Alecsandri National Theater from Iasi takes your breath away through its amazing architecture, ranked by BBC in the top 7 theaters in the world. The curtain, itself spectacular in form, creation of the painter M. Lenz, rises to please the audience with the most diverse dramatic creations.
☑️ Ranked in the top 30 of the world's most magnificent libraries, The Gheorghe Asachi Technical Library from Iasi and The Old Auditorium - a true hidden treasure - are true architectural marvels with the enormous potential to fascinate any visitor.
☑️ Discover the wonder of a 7,000-year-old spirituality by exploring relics of the Cucuteni civilization at The Alexandru Ioan Cuza University’s Museum.
☑️ The underground museum of the Metropolitan Cathedral owns a treasure of Christian knowledge.
The largest religious pilgrimage in Romania, with more than 300,000 pilgrims, takes place each year at Saint Parascheva, whose sacred relics are at The Metropolitan Cathedral, considered to be The Jerusalem of Moldavia.
☑️ The only fully sculpted church in Romania, The Three Holy Hierarchs Monastery, has no equal in the collection of architectural jewelries of Iaşi. Here you can gaze at the white, stone-carved lace, wonderfully sculptured, which successfully combines Caucasian, Byzantine, Gothic and Baroque elements into a perfect composition.
☑️ A rewarded example with Casa Nostra prize for the restoration of a cultural heritage monument, The Golia Monastery constantly calls for introspection and peace.
☑️ The mysteries of the Palace of Culture are endless, many of which are gracefully brought to light in its museums, but most of them silently fascinate the visitor. The wealth and the cultural complexity of the city of Iaşi and of the entire region can be understood through the perspective of the largest Royal Palace in Romania, whose 268 chambers house the essence of Moldavian art, culture and civilization in a monumental edifice.
At nightfall, your heart fills with joy while looking at the Palace, which is the largest architectural lighting project in Eastern Europe.
☑️ The Iasi Synagogue is called Old Synagogue, not without reason. Dating back to 1672, this is the oldest synagogue in Romania.

City of night - Constanta- ROMANIA
Constanta the most beautiful city in the world! The city of Constanța is one of the most important in Romania, one of four roughly equal-size cities which rank after Bucharest. The Constanța metropolitan area, founded in 2007, comprises 14 localities located at a maximum distance of 30 km (19 mi) from the city, and, with 387,593 inhabitants,[1] it is the third largest metropolitan area in Romania.Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanța lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles (298 km) from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanța traces its history some 2,500 years. Originally called Tomis, legend has it that Jason landed here with the Argonauts after finding the Golden Fleece.
One of the largest cities in Romania, Constanța is now an important cultural and economic center, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town center. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism. Open-air restaurants, nightclubs and cabarets offer a wide variety of entertainment. Regional attractions include traditional villages, vineyards, ancient monuments and the Danube Delta, the best preserved delta in Europe.

[TRIPofJHL] Trip to Timișoara, România
Traveling Timișoara, România.
The city of parks and churches.
Timișoara is one of top cities in western Romania.
With plenty of spacious parks, this is the place to stop by and take a breath for travelers. Many of them just come from Serbia and leave this city quickly by the way.
During summer, it's easy to witness wedding in parks of Timișoara. Metropolitan Cathedral is the most remarkable place in the city and marrying couples are easily seen.
Victory Square is the most beloved area for the people. There are popular shops, cafes and restaurants. There's no loud performance like other touristic cities. People just sit around and relax.
The old neighborhood of Timișoara is in a wide area with significantly broad avenues and big squares. Ironically, there are quite few people hanging around and it makes streets looking dreary sometimes. Each street in the center has an interesting symbolic statue at the entrance.
As well as parks, there are frequently found churches with nice architectures in Timișoara.
Most areas of Timișoara are in a plain land and tramways are stretching from corner to corner.
Iulius Mall is the huge shopping mall north of the old neighborhood.
In the evening, more people come to spend their time at Victory Square.
Parcul Rozelor (Roses Park) | Parcul Botanic (Botanic Park) | Parcul Justiţiei (Justice Park) | Parcul Regina Maria (Regina Maria Park) |

It is located in the county of the same name, in the southeastern part of Romania.
It is located on the Black Sea coast, in a lagoon to the east, hilly in the north and in the central part, and in the plain to the south and west. The city has a 6 km long private beach.
It was founded after the Greek colonization of the Black Sea basin by the merciful colonists in the 7th-5th centuries BC, under the name of Tomis.
This name is probably derived from the Greek word meaning cut, cleavage. According to the legend, Iason and his arrogates would have been here after they were sent to the Caucasus to steal the Golden Wool. Followed by King Colhide's fleet, Aietes Uliul, he had cut off his son, Absyrtos, until then held hostage on board to force the king to seek and gather the remains for the funeral ceremony, giving the Argonautes
The time required to run for the Bosphorus. However, archaeologists consider it more plausible that the cut (shoreline) would rather have designated the ancient port, today submerged, in front of the Casino.
Another possible origin of the name would be Tomiris, the Queen of the Massages, a getic tribe living between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea (Herodotus).
The Milezians found a getic settlement in these places, the new city reaching the level of a polis only in the IV-III century BC.
The port used by the Greeks to trade with the inhabitants of these regions (Dacians, Scythians and Celts) Of an urban center.
Tomis became part of the Roman Empire in the year 46, being renamed Constantiana. Publius Ovidius Naso, the Roman poet, found his exile between 8-17 years. And spent the last eight years in Constantia.
The city is one of the most important in Romania, one of four roughly equal-size cities which rank after Bucharest.

The Patriarchal Cathedral- Bucharest 2/4.mpeg
The arhitectonic ensemble of the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Patriarchal Residence and the Palace of Patriarchy is sited on the ground of the former monastery Voievode Constantin Serban Basarab, the Ruling Prince of Wallachia (1654-1658).
The church of the monastery, dedicated to Sts.Constantine and Helen, was consacrated in 1658 by Macarios, the Patriarch of Antioch and of All Orient (1647-1672), together with Wallachia`s metropolitan and bishops.
The inner walls of the monument were first painted in 1665.
In 1668, a document signed by Voievode Radu Leon (1664-1669) turned the church into a Metropolitan Cathedral.
In 1678, Metropolitan Varlaam (1672-1679) founded a printing workshop in a couple of rooms of the building, where, after ten years, they issued the Bible of Bucharest, that appeared wholly in Romanian.
In 1925, the Romanian Orthodox Church was elevated to the rank of a patriarchy; consequently, the Metropolitan Cathedral became a Patriarchal Cathedral, and metropolitan`s residence, patriarch`s residence.
The Patriarchal Cathedral follows the style of the church Voievode Neagoe Basarab (1512-1521) erected in the precinct of the monastery at Curtea de Arges in 1512-1517, but the Bucharest monument is far greater.
The inner frescoes were painted by Dimitrie Belizarie in 1932-1935.
In the northern niche of the pronaos there are St.Demetrios the New`s relics, the patron saint of Bucharest, brought to the place in 1774 and laid in a richly decorated silver coffin.
Another fine silver shrine holds parts of the relics of the Holy Emperors Constantine and Helen, presented on 22th may 2002 to the worthy of remembrance Patriarch Teoctist, by His Holliness Nikiphoros, the abbot of Kykkos Monastery in Cyprus.
The toms of the first, second, fourth and fifth Romanian patriarchs- Miron(d.1939), Nicodim(d.1948), Iustin(d.1986) and Teoctist(d.2007)- are to be found in the southern parth of the pronaos.

Also had the great joy to walk around Times Square, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and, of course, the iconic Central Park, which were all big items from my bucket list.

Walking - Bucharest nightlife ???????????? Travel Video ????????????
Bucharest (Romanian: București) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. It is located in the southeast of the country, at 44°25′57″N 26°06′14″E, on the banks of the Dâmbovița River, less than 60 km (37.3 mi) north of the Danube River and the Bulgarian border.
Bucharest was first mentioned in documents in 1459. It became the capital of Romania in 1862 and is the centre of Romanian media, culture, and art. Its architecture is a mix of historical (neo-classical and Art Nouveau), interbellum (Bauhaus, and art deco), communist era and modern. In the period between the two World Wars, the city's elegant architecture and the sophistication of its elite earned Bucharest the nickname of Paris of the East (Parisul Estului) or Little Paris (Micul Paris). Although buildings and districts in the historic city centre were heavily damaged or destroyed by war, earthquakes, and Nicolae Ceaușescu's program of systematization, many survived and have been renovated. In recent years, the city has been experiencing an economic and cultural boom. It is one of the fastest-growing high-tech cities in Europe, according to Financial Times, CBRE, TechCrunch and others. UiPath, a global startup founded in Bucharest, has reached $7 billion in valuation. Since 2019, Bucharest hosts the largest high tech summit in Southeast Europe (Romania Blockchain Summit).
In 2016, the historical city centre was listed as endangered by the World Monuments Watch. In 2017, Bucharest was the European city with the highest growth of tourists who stay over night, according to the Mastercard Global Index of Urban Destinations. As for the past two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019, Bucharest ranked as the European destination with the highest potential for development according to the same study.
According to the 2011 census, 1,883,425 inhabitants live within the city limits, a decrease from the 2002 census. Adding the satellite towns around the urban area, the proposed metropolitan area of Bucharest would have a population of 2.27 million people. According to Eurostat, Bucharest has a functional urban area of 2,412,530 residents (as of 2015). Bucharest is the sixth-largest city in the European Union by population within city limits, after London, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, and Paris.
Economically, Bucharest is the most prosperous city in Romania. The city has a number of large convention facilities, educational institutes, cultural venues, traditional shopping arcades and recreational areas.
The city proper is administratively known as the Municipality of Bucharest (Municipiul București), and has the same administrative level as that of a national county, being further subdivided into six sectors, each governed by a local mayor.

It is located in the county of the same name, in the south eastern part of Romania.
This name is probably derived from the Greek word (Tomí) meaning cut, cleavage.
And spent the last eight years in Constantia in Constanta.
The city is one of the most important in Romania, one of four roughly equal-size cities which rank after Bucharest.
The metropolitan area, founded in 2007, comprises 14 localities located at a maximum distance of 30 km (19 mi) from the city, and, with 387,593 inhabitants,it is the third largest metropolitan area in Romania.
Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles (298 km) from the Bosphorus Strait.
An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, traces its history some 2,500 years.Originally called Tomis, legend has it that Jason landed here with the Argonauts after finding the Golden Fleece.
One of the largest cities in Romania is now an important cultural and economic center, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town center.
Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism.
Open-air restaurants, nightclubs and cabarets offer a wide variety of entertainment.Regional attractions include traditional villages, vineyards, ancient monuments and the Danube Delta, the best preserved delta in Europe.
