Oro Verde Mango Plantation is the largest productive mango farm in the Philippines. Its 240-hectare farm with 45,000 trees is located in an island near Iloilo called Guimaras, better known as the mango capital of the Philippines. Guimaras island has one of the best growing conditions for mango in the country because of its rich soil and conducive climate. Guimaras is the only place in the country that has been certified as mango seed weevil-free that its produce is approved for export to the U.S.

Guimaras Day 1 Vlog || Pit Stop || Mango Pizza || Guimaras Mountain Resort

Guimaras is a small island between Negros Island and Iloilo. It is a pretty quiet place but once a year they have a festival to celebrate the island's main product: mangoes! These are the best mangoes in the Philippines in our opinion (sorry Cebu)! The island is fueled by agriculture and tourism combined. This is day one of our stay in Guimaras. We chose to stay at the Mountain Resort. It is a bit secluded and low-tech but perfect for a short getaway.
