2400 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, CA 90405
The beach is located along Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. It is 3.5 miles long and has parks, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, as well as manned lifeguard stations, the original Muscle Beach, bike rentals, concessions, a few hotels, a bike path, and wooden pathways for warm days and beachgoers with disabilities.
Visitor activities include volleyball, surfing, stand up paddleboarding, and swimming.
Smoking at the beach is prohibited.
At the foot of Colorado Avenue, through the famous arch and sign, lies the historic Santa Monica Pier, which dates from 1909.
A few steps south of the Pier volleyball courts is the International Chess Park. The public chess tables—and a human-scale chessboard set into the sidewalk—draw a wide assortment of players.
Palisades Park is located atop Santa Monica’s famed sandstone cliffs, providing a vantage point to see the sweep of Santa Monica Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
The beach is the one Baywatch was filmed

Malibu Cliffside Beach House
From this property, you will enjoy the lovely coastline of Malibu from atop a beautiful cliff. You will experience the Pacific ocean at its best, with amazing sunrises, a lovely array of colors at sunset, dolphins and whales, soaring pelicans, full moon rises, and stars from this estate's outrageous outdoor and indoor views, or while enjoying the front yard at its wood-burning fire pit. This estate includes a large area of outdoor space as well as indoor space. The front yard, heated pool, jacuzzi, and five separate deck areas all overlook a breathtaking, unobstructed, and panoramic view of ocean from Little Dume to Big Dume. There is also additional outdoor space in back yard between main house and guest house, which displays Malibu's other personality of vibrant green vegetation. Also, this estate is only steps away from Point Dume State Preserve; which includes stairs to a quiet picturesque beach.
The main house is predominantly a ranch style home with 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, with a lot of open space throughout, and with many and large windows full of panoramic views. One bedroom is situated upstairs, designated the view room, and from its deck, you will feel high above the entire property and its view becomes even more inspiring and dramatic. This elegant home is full of crystal chandeliers, granite and wood flooring throughout, kitchen copper stove dome, and marble countertops. The living room areas include a sunken fireplace conversation area and a lovely tuned Steinway Piano.
Located behind this large ocean-front property is a charming guest house, which is fully equipped with all necessary kitchen utilities and items for cooking. It includes a small dining room and two bedroom spaces; one with a queen size bed and one with a California king size bed. It also has a sitting room area for tv viewing and is equipped with its own washer/dryer.
There is plenty of on-site parking space available inside electric security gate. Both homes have wi-fi, land telephone lines, and cable tv.
Surfing, stand up paddle board lessons, and kayak tours are available by Malibu surf coach.
The American Dream — Road Trip from LA to SF | The Travel Intern
The GREAT WEST COAST Adventure with four friends — Are you ready? We started in Los Angeles, headed up the Pacific Coast Highway 1 through the most beautiful Big Sur, spent a couple days in Yosemite and ended it all off with San Francisco!
You can check this itinerary out, it's also an alternative to start the journey from SF to LA:
LOS ANGELES
00:32 - Go LA Card
We really can't emphasise this product enough - you get access to 35 attractions with just one price. Think Six Flags Magic Mountain, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, etc. It's a superb deal.
00:37 - Warner Bros. Studio Tour
We got to tour around the famous Hollywood filming locations and the campus was HUGE!
00:53 - Perry's Bicycle Rental
What better way to soak in the beach ~vibes~ by getting a bike and cycling down Santa Monica beach?
01:06 - Pacific Park
End your bike adventure at Pacific Park after catching the sunset at Santa Monica Pier. The rides are actually more thrilling than they appear to be.
01:09 - San Pedro Fish Market
If you're ever in the southern part of LA, be sure to give San Pedro Fish Market a visit and indulge in their SHRIMP TRAY!!!
01:20 - Griffith Observatory
Get a bird's-eye view of the city from this observatory. You'll also get to see the Hollywood sign from here.
01:26 - Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain
Go on a theme park frenzy!! Thrill-seekers, you're definitely in for a treat~
01:43 - OUE Skyspace LA
This city is FULL of sunset lookout points. The OUE Skyspace LA is the highest open-air observation deck in California!
01:54 - Disneyland
The happiest place on Earth — what else is there to say? :-)
ROAD TRIP UP PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY 1
02:23 - Big Sur
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Super love. Winding roads along the beautiful coastal stretch, with landmarks that took our breath away~
02:31 - McWay Falls
02:35 - Bixby Creek Bridge
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
02:43 - Yosemite National Park
Snow all around, it was truly like a winter wonderland.
02:53 - Yosemite Falls
Both the Upper Falls and Lower Falls are magnificent sights to behold.
02:57 - Half Dome
On clear days, the reflection of the Half Dome on the water surface makes the entire scene look like it came straight out of a postcard.
02:58 - Bridalveil Fall
During winter, the short walk up to the falls can be quite tricky and slippery, so be prepared for some leg work!
03:01 - Swinging Bridge
I know what you're thinking — it doesn't look like it's swinging. But ya know, it still works. It's an absolute beaut.
03:03 - El Capitan
The red hue cast by the sunset upon the face of El Capitan made all of us speechless. It only lasted a couple minutes before it faded off, but that moment was priceless.
SAN FRANCISCO
03:19 - Go SF Card
Just like the Go LA Card, this card is super handy too! Trust us — it's a good deal.
03:24 - Golden Gate Bridge (Battery Spencer)
For those who wanna get that picture with the Golden Gate Bridge, this is one of the better lookouts we feel. It does get windy though, so be layered up!
03:31 - Mr. Holmes Bakehouse
Yes, this is the shop where we GOT BAKED in. Haha. Super Instagram-famous, and with good reason too! Their cruffins are of a different flavour everyday, so be surprised!
03:36 - Fisherman's Wharf
If you're in SF, you have to spend an afternoon walking and exploring the entire stretch of the Fisherman's Wharf. You get to see and do so many things like:
03:40 - Ripley's Believe It or Not
03:45 - The San Francisco Dungeon (WE LOVED THIS, REALLY. It was a theatre-based show, where you get to move from station to station, something like a theme park, but with a haunting history of the past~)
03:49 - Pier 39 (Get the Speculoos Latte from the Biscoff Coffee Corner)
03:56 - Alcatraz Island Tour
One of the must-dos!! We easily spent 3 hours in there, or more. The audio tour is probs the best out there.
04:14 - The Castro
The historic center of the LGBT community of SF, we really loved exploring the area!
04:23 - MISSION STREET MEXICAN FOOD FEAST!!!!
Mission Street is the Mexican food HAVEN! We highly recommend saving your tummies for at least 4 to 5 stores. We're going to introduce you to one of our FAVE places:
04:27 - Taqueria El Farolita
Anything off the menu is great. Promise.
Would you go on such an adventure with your friends? :-)

VISITING SANTA MONICA! - LA VLOGS EPISODE 6
In today's episode we head to Target, Santa Monica and a fancy restaurant for my birthday dinner, and a questionably named one before that.
Follow me: @paleskinmakeup

Fun fact - At 28 this was my first time wearing a bikini in public. On the beaches of California there were people of all skin tones, shapes and sizes - zero judgement was cast on anyone.
In the UK people would be pointing out how pale I am, how I need 'a bit of colour' and similar in order to 'look nice'. I had no tan, no makeup, no filters...and you know what.... I felt great!
Whilst that stuff is fun - there is more to life people. Never forget to just be you once in a while.
Thank you Isaak for creating such a special day for me, and to everyone who has watched and commented on my series so far!
Be sure to check out Episode 7 tomorrow!
