The Players - Heavenly Maiden
The Players are a Japanese Jazz/Fusion band that recorded their first album in 1979, titled Galaxy and released by Openskye records. At a time where Funk and Nu-Jazz were really starting to interest music enthusiasts, this album made wonders and gave the genre a lot more popularity in Japan. [JAPAN] Tribute to Shota Aoi - Singer
This video introduces u to Mr. Shota Aoi, one of the upcoming, hopeful J-pop singers. He was born to Japanese parents in Fukui-prefecture. He grew up as a very ordinary Japanese kid. However, as he grew up, his voice didn’t really change... like other normal male children. Because of that, he was teased terribly by his junior high school and high school friends. In addition to his boy-soprano voice, he looked like a girl. When he dressed up as a girl, he could easily pass as a good-looking girl, getting lots of attention from people in general.
Shota realized that he has something totally unique. When he and his Junior High School rascals went Karaoke for fun and when he sang “So Into You” by Kumiko Kōda, a popular J-pop singer, Shota became an instant sensation... among his classmates and then at school. Shota was not only unique but could also sing.
In 2004, during the local summer festival, his friend voted for Shota to sing in front of the town’s people. The show was rained on but Shota managed to sing and win. This was his life's inflexion point. Shota was invited to another competition hosted by YAMAHA, a famous music company. The competition was called YAMAHA Teens’ Music Festival. He won and was invited to sing in Japan’s National Singing Contest. Shota sang Kumiko’s songs again, and that was noticed by Kumiko’s Agent. And, the rest is history.
Shota was invited to join their agent as a J-pop artist. Since then, he has produced records and videos. In this strange way, his singing career began.
Shota now sings for Anime and acts as a voice actor for several anime characters. He enjoys his works and creativity. A handsome boy with a boy-soprano voice is now becoming a star in the world… ; D
Many thanks for watching…; please give a big thumbs up! My videos are sort of related to each other, so enjoy others as well.
Peace out… to all the beautiful souls out there in the world! Cheers,
