JERUSALEM: Riding the TRAM (LIGHT RAIL) around the city, beautiful views ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful city of Jerusalem and let's ride the tram (or, the Light Rail as it is known) from its last station in the western part of the town (Mount Herzl) to the station of Jaffa Centre just before the Old City.
Jerusalem is a city in the Middle East, located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
TRAIN TRIP TLV HAHAGANA STATION - JERUSALEM YITZHAK NAVON STATION(1ST TRIP FOR 2020)
Jerusalem–Yitzhak Navon railway station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת ירושלים – יצחק נבון, Tahanat HaRakevet Yerushalaim–Yitzhak Navon, originally named Jerusalem–HaUma railway station) is an Israel Railways passenger terminal in Jerusalem.
The station is the eastern terminus of the Tel Aviv–Jerusalem railway. It is the world's deepest heavy-rail passenger station, and the fourth deepest underground station in the world, with its platforms extending down to 80 metres (260 ft) below street level.[3] It is located near Binyanei HaUma and constitutes part of a major public transportation hub, being situated adjacent to the Jerusalem Central Bus Station as well as next to a station serving current and future lines of the Jerusalem Light Rail.
Construction of the station began in 2007 and was completed in 2018 at a cost of about NIS 500 million (appx. US$140 million). The station entrance is located at an elevation of 815 metres (2,674 ft), with most of the station's 60,000 square metres (650,000 sq ft) of floorspace located underground.[3] The length of the platforms is 300 metres (980 ft).[4] The station can double as a shelter in case of a conventional, biological or chemical attack, being able to provide refuge for 5,000 people.[5]
The station is named after Jerusalem native Yitzhak Navon, the fifth President of Israel.

The Tel Aviv to Jerusalem high speed railway הרכבת המהירה לירושלים
The Tel Aviv–Jerusalem train line connects the two biggest cities in Israel.
It has been under construction in stages since 2001. It will serve as the main rail link between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, complementing the old Jaffa–Jerusalem railway.
The newly constructed railway will span about 56 km of electrified double track, costing approximately NIS 7 billion (about US$2 billion) due to the extensive bridging and tunneling required along the mountainous route. The design speed is 160 km/h with a projected travel time of approximately 28 minutes from Tel Aviv HaHagana Railway Station and 20 minutes form Ben Gurion Airport Railway Station to Jerusalem's Navon station.

I do these walk with me videos, because I try to show a city off and what it really looks like. And so I can rewatch it in the future. But really who wants to watch a 28 minute video. I will try to change how I make my videos in the future. I hope you still enjoy this video though. Thank you!

Hello, my name is Zack, and I like to (*don't forget the pause*) backpack around the world! I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I have had the travel bug my whole life. I used to go on month long trips with my grandparents to Western USA when I was a kid. Fast forward to summer 2013, we went to Disney World and I went to the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot and saw the O' Canada 360 Circlevision film and I was like, I want to go to Canada!. Summer 2014 I took a roadtrip up to Toronto, Ontario. Since then I've been traveling around the world.

New! A fast train from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel - information and sites to see on the way
Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera zahigo25@walla.com +972-54-6905522 tel סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522
My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.
Landing in Ben Gurion (TLV) airport? Essential info from a professional tour guide
THINGS HAVE CHANGED! CHECK THE UPDATED POST -
Landing in Ben Gurion (TLV) Airport? Then this video is for you.
All you need to know about security and transportation, as well as a few little tips.
The airport will probably be the first and last site that you visit in Israel.
There are a few things that can make your landing softer and cheaper.
Although the airport is called TLV, it is actually in the middle of Israel, so you can go on from there to Jerusalem, or even the desert or Galilee.
Your passport will not be stamped.
From Friday afternoon until Saturday night there are no buses or trains, so you'll need to take a taxi or hire a car.
If you take the train to Tel Aviv DO NOT get off at the first station in Tel Aviv (HaHagana); it is the poorest area in the city and has no hotels or hostels.
Haleluyah, the train to Jerusalem is now open and runnning!!!
