Great place to chill out.The actual nature park is compact but well laid out with far more to see and explore than you would expect.I spent a pleasant afternoon here. I were so excited to see live Kiwi!!

Set in a picturesque native fauna, flora and streams, Rainbow Springs has the country's most successful kiwi conservation programme - releasing 1200 kiwi back into the wild since 1995.
That's not the only attraction though, there's tuatara, fish, lizards, and a flock of birds!
Whether you're wanting to take the kids out and about for a day, or it's an adults' trip, book ahead online and save yourself some time.

You just have to love these funny and cute mascots of New Zealand. Unfortunately, Kiwis are active at night, so the room was very dark and it's a bit hard to see.

At Christmas we had a holiday in Rotorua and visited Rainbow Springs, it was a wonderful day and we had so much fun!
