Fix our RAINFOREST HABITAT
We took a quick tour of the Rainforest Habitat located inside of the PNG University of Technology, Lae. Disheartening to see the habitat (slight to moderately) run down and some of the main attractions (like the Raggianna Bird of Paradise) not around.
Hope authorities or government take a strong interest in promoting this sanctuary and supporting it or at least rehabilitate the facilities.

Before It's Too Late - PNG Land of the Unexpected | Storyteller Media
Deep in the heart of Papua New Guinea lies a species-rich rainforest, while its coast is fringed with rare unspoilt coral reef. Both areas provide habitat for some extraordinary creatures who face an uncertain and bleak future --extinction.
For centuries this forgotten paradise has been hidden from the eyes of the industries that have left such a devastating mark on similar treasures, but that is no longer the case. Pollution, hunting, mining and logging pose real and immediate threats to these habitats.
We take a look at what is being done to save these creatures and the world they have inhabited for so long.
It is a rare opportunity to see some of nature's best-kept and most enchanting secrets, including the tree kangaroo, the long-beaked echidna, the cassowary as well as the rich marine life.
Watch as we meet the remarkable individuals and organisations dedicated to giving the species of Papua New Guinea a fighting chance at survival... before it's too late.
Storyteller produce and distribute documentaries and factual programming specialising in animals and nature; from endangered species and what's being done to save them to mysterious animal and monster stories.

STRETIM NEK 02: Cost of Gear
Why the cost of gear and VALUE to the CLIENT make a big difference in justifying high costs charged by photographers, videographers, etc.
And also for the record, Papua New Guinea is an expensive country to live in. Government of the day has to improve the standard of living and reduce inflation, cut rates in travel and overall, cut income tax so that our people can thrive in the SME sector.

SUMMARY
=======
Huon Peninsula is a large rugged peninsula on the island of New Guinea in Morobe Province, eastern Papua New Guinea. It is named after French explorer Jean-Michel Huon de Kermadec. The peninsula is dominated by the steep Saruwaged and Finisterre and Cromwell Mountains. The nearest large town is the Morobe provincial capital Lae to the south, while settlements on the north coast include the former German town of Finschhafen, the district capital of Wasu, Malalamai and Saidor with its World War II era Saidor Airport.
The area was the site of the Huon Peninsula campaign of World War II, in 1943-44 as Japanese troops retreating from Lae fought their way over the Finisterre Mountains to Madang on the north coast.
