Rafting Magic, Rangitikei River, New Zealand
Brian, while on the river a great deal, seldom guides customer rafts these days. 24th May was an exception, river was about 20 cumecs, great crew, a bit out of control at times, but lots of fun had by all.
Brian says, thanks to his team of Paul, Gerard, Mathew, Rachel, Sam and Greg for a fun day out.

What Is An Aussie River Guide doing in New Zealand?
Ben Forster came to be a trainee river rafting guide at River Valley in 2009. Being in his early 30s at the time, it was an unusual step for someone like him to choose that sort of career at that stage of his life, especially on a technically difficult river such as the Grade 5 section of the Rangitikei. Ben got his Grade 4/5 certification that summer and has not looked back.
In this interview we get to know what makes Ben tick and why he thrives on the white water rafting atmosphere at River Valley. Learn more about River Valley staff at
