Rothorn Paradise (3,103 m) offers a spectacular view on 38 summits higher than 4,000 meters, and you can see the Matterhorn from its most beautiful side.
On the way to Rothorn is Sunnegga Paradise (2,288 m). It is a ski area that forms part of the Zermatt ski resort. The Sunnegga area catches a large amount of sun due to its unique topography, often despite the rest of Zermatt being submerged in cloud.

Skiing in Switzerland, Zermatt, the Alps. Starting at Rothorn (3103m), we first take the intermediate slope Rotweng (no. 11) to Blauherd (2571m). There is a magnificent view on the Matterhorn (4478m) and the Weisshorn (4505m). We continue the ride on the expert slope Obere National (no. 8) to Patrullarve (2000m), which is below the tree line. Vertical drop: 1103m, slope length: approx. 6 km.

High above Zermatt, Switzerland, the Rothorn lift system provides access to a range of mountain biking trails. You'll find flow-trails, downhill trails, singletrack and doubletrack routes descending back down into Zermatt. If you can find it, definitely seek out the pipeline route that follows a contour for a couple miles through dense pine forest. Die Rothornbahn bringt ihre Gäste bis auf 3.103m hinauf, wo sich ein atemberaubender Blick auf die Walliser Alpen bietet.
Im Sommer ist der Gipfel Ausgangspunkt für anspruchsvolle Bergtouren und im Winter ist der direkte Zugang zu den Pisten gewährleistet.
Wie wäre es mal mit einer Sonnenaufgangstour oder einem Gleitschirmflug vom Gipfel aus? Botaniker haben die Möglichkeit bei einer Wanderung auf das Oberrothorn endemische Pflanzen zu entdecken.
Im Winter gibt es Mondscheinabfahrten im Angebot und das Matterhorn ist freistehend, schneebedeckt sichtbar.
