Riding a Ropeway to the top of Senkoji-yama (千光時山） Mountain, Onomichi City, Western Japan
Senkoji-yama mountain (千光時山） is located near the historic Onomichi City （尾道市） in Western Japan. It belongs to the Chugoku region, close to the Okayama city. If you take the Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen (closer to Osaka than Fukuoka), you can get off at Shin-Onomichi station to get to this city.
Onomichi city is an old historic (yet modern) city, not well known to the foreign tourists. It has many historic temples. Most of these temples are located on and around Senkoji-yama mountain. You can easily reach many temples on this mountain by walk but you can also take the rope way to get to the top of the mountain and then walk down to see these temples. In addition to the temples, on top of the Senkojiyama mountain there is a beautiful garden and an observatory to view the surroundings.
This video shows the beautiful views of the Onomichi city （尾道市） harbor and it's inland port while taking the rope way to the top of the Senkoji mountain.

こんにちは Kon'nichiwa! 欢迎收看我们的日本旅行 PART 3 最后一集嵐山篇！我真的很想念日本，尤其是日本的食物，这里味道真的差太多了啦！哈哈~ 这趟旅行真的有太多趣事想和大家分享所以必须分成几集！我从小就对日本的文化充满憧憬和幻想，因为受到了日本漫画和日剧的影响：哆啦A梦！乱马，灌篮高手，七龍珠，名侦探柯南，GTO 和广末凉子的 BeachBoy 等等！每当看到日本漫画和日本动漫人物吃拉面，就会好像学他们吃上一大口！
这集我会和大家分享，嵐山，竹林，伏見稲荷，祇園的生活文化！我们也去了京都市动物园，动物们都好可爱！印象中动物园都会有浓浓的动物味，可是这里的却没有！而且还特地建两层，可以在楼上和长颈鹿近距离接触呢！当然少不了最好吃的一蘭拉面！汤太浓了啦！说到吃的，台湾好朋友 MaoMaoTV阿猫也带我们去了很多好吃的当地食物！谢谢MaoMaoTV！嵐山真的很好玩，有山里的千光寺，日本和尚，猫，鸟声，竹流水，高山上的美景。还有 % ARABICA 的香浓咖啡，阳光暖暖的穿透竹林透射在人们的脸上的美丽画面，都深深在我的脑里。

Welcome to our Japan Arashiyama travel vlog part 3! Right now I really miss Japan so bad especially the food! I need to divide my Japan trip into several episodes because the trip has too much to share haha! growing up as an Asian kid I had a lot of fantasy with Japanese culture, I enjoyed reading Japanese Manga and Japanese TV Drama like Doraemon, Ranma, Slam Dunk, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, GTO and the BeachBoy by Ryoko Hirosue!
In this episode we will see a lot about Arashiyama, Bamboo Groves, Fushimi Inari Shrine and Gion living’s culture! We also visited Kyoto City Zoo, the animal in Kyoto City Zoo were so adorable! The zoo is too clean and you definitely won’t smell anything weird in there! We had the MUST EAT super popular ICHIRAN RAMEN and it was super delicious! Also thanks to our good friend MaoMaoTV from Taiwan who lives in Japan took us around for nice local food! We love you MaoMaoTV!
Arashiyama was truly a wonderful place. We enjoyed the great view from Senko-Ji temple, the monk, cat that lives there, birds were humming, sound of the giant bell and the calming sound of the water dripping off the bamboo. The great taste of the % ARABICA coffee and the warm sunshine in the Bamboo groves between leaves and trees, everything was so beautiful.
My Japan dream has finally come true! I can't wait to share the entire Japan vacation with you all! (If you ever been in Japan, do share your interesting experience here to be a way for those who plan to travel in Japan!)

Japan Travel: Onomichi, Hiroshima - So cool I visited twice in one trip!
This might be one of Japan's less visited locations. Onomichi captured me from the moment arrived! So much so that I returned a few weeks later to explore even further.
If you like temples, shrines, small quaint Japanese towns and the seaside, oh and let me not forget cats! then Onomichi in Hiroshima prefecture is a place worth visiting.
I stayed one night and due to a rainy day decided to return a few weeks later and stay another night to complete the trip. I was not disappointed.
There is so much that I didn't see including a cat alley, famous cycling over bridges and some temples that I didn't have time to visit.

Nach der anstrengenden Fahrradtour wollte ich mich noch ein wenig im historischen Stadtviertel von Kurashiki erholen. Unterwegs machte ich noch schnell einen spontanen Stop in Fukuyama und schaute mir dort die Burg an.

JR Shin-Onomichi （JR 新尾道駅） and JR Onomichi （JR 尾道駅） Train Stations
Onomichi City （尾道市） is located in Chugoku Region (west side of Japan) and close to Hiroshima and Okayama Cities. Onomichi is a great little city to visit, with antique charm, great temples, hilly/scenic/picturesque landscapes.
The city is serviced by two JR train stations. JR Shin-Onomichi （JR 新尾道駅) station is serviced by only the Shinkansen (bullet) trains. But only Kodama Shinkansen stops here, the Sakura, Hikari and Nozomi trains do not stop.
JR Onomichi station （JR 尾道駅） services the sanyo region's local JR lines. This station is about 10 minute bus ride from the Shin-Onomichi station and is close to the downtown and all the tourist attractions.
Hope you get a chance to visit Onomichi and enjoy the city.
