The Hello Strangers Bio:
What does Austin-influenced, rural-Pennsylvanian, indie sister-folk sound like? Verbosity aside, it sounds uniquely like The Hello Strangers, a sister duo, comprised of Larissa Chace Smith and Brechyn Chace, whose haunting harmonies and original, wittingly noir songwriting style are the backbone of their sound.
The Hello Strangers just released their first full-length, self-titled album with multi-award winning (Grammy, Emmy, Dove, Tele) IMI Records in Nashville, Tennessee. The album features 11 originals and 2 covers, including What You Don't Know, written by, and featuring on vocals, Jim Lauderdale; and Que Sera, Sera, an homage to their grandfather, Ronald Chace, who sang with Doris Day.
In 2012, Larissa and Brechyn won AirPlay Direct's Win An Americana Record Deal contest, giving them the opportunity to work with Steve Ivey of IMI, and a host of other talented industry professionals, on their 2014 album.
The Hello Strangers were born out of the Austin, Texas music scene in 2006 when the sisters wrote their first song together, entitled “Pregnant in Jail.” Based on true events, it was a preamble to a string of original tunes the pair crafted in a little cottage off South Congress Avenue. Soon, however, the mountains of Pennsylvania beckoned the girls back north, and so they packed up their lives, dogs, and Larissa’s husband and returned to their two-stoplight hometown.
The move has since proven to be a boon for the duo. The sisters have created a catalogue of original music with nods to American folk traditions, modern indie rock, Texas country-folk, and roots rock, all tied together with lilting harmonies that only sisters can create. Timeless imagery and fables are at the core of each song, from tales of a boggy creek bottom where a murdered man sleeps, to a Texas roadhouse with bawdy dancers and clinking beer bottles, to more poignant reflections on the loss of winter or a man gone wrong.
The sisters are supported by a dynamic and talented trio: Spencer Pheil on lead guitar, Trent Renshaw on drums, and Tom Hoy on bass.
Chuck Dauphin of Music News Nashville says, “They are just – for lack of a more sophisticated term – Damn Good. Take a listen to a cut like “Chances,” and if you are not totally hooked by their spellbinding harmony, your hearing must not be working right. It’s a sonically brilliant cut – from start to finish, one that simply needs to be heard. Ditto that for the Appalachian feel of “The World Knows Far Better,” where the harmony is chilling, as is the harmonica work from Brechyn. The sisters even match musical wits and talent with the incredible Jim Lauderdale on his gem “What You Don’t Know,” which they keep as haunting as his 1990s original.”
Unexplainable UFO sighting leaves stargazers in awe | New York Post
It's not a bird, and it's certainly not a plane, so what is this object hovering over Lake Superior? While traveling through Paradise, Michigan, Erik Rintamaki noticed two golden orbs flying above a boat for over an hour. One of the lights mysteriously disappeared and reappeared shortly after he began filming, leaving him and his female companion wondering what exactly they were witnessing. This is the craziest thing I've ever seen, he exclaimed. Watch the eerie moment and decide for yourself what the puzzling sighting could possibly be.

8 Extreme Haunted Houses that Take it Too Far - REUPLOAD
--This is just a re-upload of a video I posted around Halloween. I received a copyright strike for using a certain image in the previous video. Believe me I hate having to re-upload stuff :l
Extreme haunted house attractions are the ones that go above and beyond just typical human jumpscares. Extreme attractions make it more personal and horrifying: if you encounter an actor in an ordinary attraction, you keep walking after they scare you. But in these attractions, if you encounter an actor, they don't just go AHHHH and then let you go; they grab you and play around with you for a little.
Play around?
Oh, that could just mean getting shoved, getting spat on, being picked up/thrown, being forced to eat or drink something, being tied and restrained, having your head submerged in water, having spiders crawl over your face, and stuff like that.
Some of these attractions are very extreme, much more so than others, but all of them attract only those who are aware of what they're getting themselves into, and this video is not harming any reputation of any of these attractions, as this is what they want to be known for, and this is what attracts so many people. Wow that was the definition of a run-on sentence.

Legends Corner, Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee 5
Legends Corner, music pub, Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee, United States 2002 - Nashville nightlife
What do the five original 78RPM Elvis Presley Sun Records, a set of KISS Dolls and a 12 string autographed guitar once owned by Johnny Cash have in common? They are all hanging on the walls at Legends Corner (a true Honky Tonk Row treasure) along with such memorabilia as first albums done by many of country music’s Legends. When you walk in the door of Legends Corner you are astounded by the number of albums on the wall and the unusual musical instruments from all over the world, like a didgeridoo from Australia, a balalaika from Russia or a pickin’ stick from Appalachia.

MCKAMEY MANOR Presents Christina B. (Round Two)
This is the 2nd time Christina has taken the MM tour. This film is more of a documentary look at her experience, and not the typical fast paced account. You'll see expanded footage of the Pick-Up zone for example that will explain a lot of things that people are concerned about. Normally I don't show the behind the scenes secrets, but for this film I did. You'll also notice not a lot of edits in certain parts of the film, just extended single shots. Again, this is more of a documentary look at her time here at MCKAMEY MANOR.
AIRBNB TOUR | The Birdhouse (East Nashville)
Airbnb Tour | The Birdhouse, East Nashville // Hey guys! Back with a more regular video today! This place was SO ADORABLE and I wish I could have been able to truly capture the cozy and aesthetic charm. I did my best though. It was such a pleasure staying here - even without a dresser - that my family might look further into Airbnbs in the future. Anyways, get hyped for some Nashville vlogs coming your way in the next couple week!

Black Slave Owner and Breeder in South Carolina ~ The Interesting Story of William Ellison
....William Ellison was one of the wealthiest men in the South as well as being a black, former slave. He owned cotton gins, plantations, and 68 slaves. And from accounts of the time, he wasn't very nice...At the peak of slavery in the United States, large numbers of free Negroes owned black slaves; in fact, in numbers disproportionate to their representation in society at large. In 1860 only a small minority of whites owned slaves. According to the U.S. census report for that last year before the Civil War, there were nearly 27 million whites in the country. Some 8 million of them lived in the slaveholding states. The census also determined that there were fewer than 385,000 individuals who owned slaves. Even if all slaveholders had been white, that would amount to only 1.4 percent of whites in the country (or 4.8 % of southern whites owning one or more slaves, however, around 30% for free blacks owned slaves).
In the rare instances when the ownership of slaves by free Negroes is acknowledged in the history books, justification centers on the claim that black slave masters were simply individuals who purchased the freedom of a spouse or child from a white slaveholder and had been unable to legally manumit them. Although this did indeed happen at times, it is a misrepresentation of the majority of instances, one which is debunked by records of the period on blacks who owned slaves. These include individuals such as Justus Angel and Mistress L. Horry, of Colleton District, South Carolina, who each owned 84 slaves in 1830. In fact, in 1830 a fourth of the free Negro slave masters in South Carolina owned 10 or more slaves; eight owning 30 or more.
