New York's Woolworth Building at 100
April 24, 2013, marks 100 years since the one-time world's tallest building graced the New York City skyline. The Woolworth Building, in Manhattan, stands at 792 feet. ARTINFO's Vanessa Yurkevich got an inside look at the building and exhibit.
Woolworth Building
Brief history of skyscrapers including a tour of the Woolworth Building.
Woolworth's in Fort Pierce (Sears Town)
Sears Town at Virginia Ave & US #1 was where one of two Woolworth's stores was located. Publix was where Staples is now. Sears took up the space where Big Lots is. Boogarts sat across the street just north of McDonald's. Singer Sewing Machine store and Tape Deck shared the strip mall with Woolworth's.
The other Woolworth's was on Orange Ave across from Grants. If you or someone you know has pictures or 8mm film of either Fort Pierce Woolworth store or Grants, I would be glad to make another video
My mother worked there in the 60's and 70's. She worked with Christine DeWitt, Joyce Farmer, Louise Roundtree, Mable, Lawson, etc.
ARCHITECTURE - Cass Gilbert - Woolworth Building
The Woolworth Building was the most recognizable skyscraper in the world until Chrysler Building was built in 1930. It was the world tallest building from 1913 to 1930.
In this video, an Alexander Calder sculpture is seen at the end.

Captains Of Industry - Frank W. Woolworth
Captains of Industry was envisioned as an inspirational, uplifting and public relations vehicle as all of North America recovered from The Great Depression. Recorded in the early 1930s by Atlas Radio Corporation of Canada, the transcribed canon comprised fifty-two biographical dramatizations of the more noteworthy industrialists and philanthropists of the late 19th century and early 20th century. Atlas Radio Corporation was founded in 1921 by David Louis Harris, a Jewish immigrant who became one of the pioneering radio, television and electronics manufacturers throughout Canada and The United States.
Captains of Industry, recorded in a 15-minute format, emphasized the entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and philanthropic work which characterized each of the fifty-two subjects of the series. Opening with the story of railroad and steel industrialist and noted philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, the series went on the spotlight the era's most important movers and shakers of their respective industries.

B.2. Miocene: Rifting and rotation, volcanism, crustal upwelling and deposition in marine basins
When the Pacific Plate began scraping against North America, the Transverse Ranges block broke off and twirled around.
The stretching thinned the crust, drawing lavas and lower crustal rocks up to fill the gap. The Santa Monica mountains and parts of the offshore Channel Islands are made of the lavas from these volcanoes. Conejo Mountain, near Oxnard is the throat of an old volcano.
The stretching broke the continental shelf into many marine basins, very rich living places for marine life. These basins formed excellent habitats for microscopic floating plants called diatoms,.and the diatoms were food for swarms of tiny shrimp, and these, in turn, were scooped up by whales.
The pastey looking rocks that form many of our sea cliffs started out as a pile of microscopic skeletons from these diatoms. The organic parts of the diatoms slowly decayed to form natural gas, oil and tar. Fossil whale bones form the stones on some of our beaches.

Oxnard Air Force Base (1940–1945, 1951–1970) is a former United States Air Force base located in Camarillo, California on the Oxnard Plain approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) west of the historic business district. A fighter training airfield during World War II, it was part of the Air Defense Command, later renamed Aerospace Defense Command, and during the Cold War it was used as a fighter-interceptor base.
Oxnard Airport (not to be confused with the current Oxnard Airport) was opened in 1934 by the County of Ventura and consisted of a 3,500-foot (1,100 m) dirt runway. The first fixed-base operator on the field was Joe Plosser. He owned only two aircraft, but had no housing for them. During the thirties Howard Hughes erected a tent on the airport to shelter his H-1 racer, which he tested from the Oxnard Airport.
The County of Ventura paved the runway in 1938 and a large hangar (now known as Hangar #2) was built by the Works Progress Administration. In 1939 James Elmo McLean opened the Oxnard Flying School with two aircraft, a 40 hp J-3 Cub and a Kinner two-seater. In Oxnard, state California, there is a famous Santa Claus Statue, a note bale landmark. Santa is nicely painted and surrounded by the nutcrackers Billy and Bo, along with a reindeer, snowman, and a poinsettia surfboard. Built in 1948, Santa was visible half-out of a giant chimney atop an attraction named Santa's Candy Kitchen. A heartless developer bulldozed the Kitchen in 2001, but Santa was saved and moved to his current spot in 2003. The Oxnard City Council at first wanted to kick out Santa, but now that he's been cleaned up they like him. If you would like to see video on how Santa ended up in Oxnard, then on Disc 2 of the movie, Elf, go to the section titled infinifilm. Central controllers and most terminal unit controllers are programmable, meaning the direct digital control program code may be customized for the intended use. The program features include time schedules, setpoints, controllers, logic, timers, trend logs, and alarms. The unit controllers typically have analog and digital inputs that allow measurement of the variable (temperature, humidity, or pressure) and analog and digital outputs for control of the transport medium (hot/cold water and/or steam). Digital inputs are typically (dry) contacts from a control device, and analog inputs are typically a voltage or current measurement from a variable (temperature, humidity, velocity, or pressure) sensing device. Digital outputs are typically relay contacts used to start and stop equipment, and analog outputs are typically voltage or current signals to control the movement of the medium (air/water/steam) control devices such as valves, dampers, and motors.

The Oxnard Plain, because of these high-quality agricultural soils, coupled with a favorable climate, is considered one of the most fertile areas in the world. Oxnard has been known for several different crops over the years, including cucumbers, sugar beets, lima beans, Stock (the cut flower), and strawberries. In the years of Oxnard's growth during the 70's and 80's, many farms and ranches were annexed for development, and many new development plans threatened much of the plain's farmland. In 1995, a grassroots effort known as SOAR (Save Open Space and Agricultural Resources) was initiated by farmers, ranchers and citizens of Ventura County in an effort to save the vast agricultural asset of the Oxnard Plain. Large commercial systems designed, manufactured and maintained by Trane provide the heating, ventilation and air conditioning for prominent buildings on every continent. We custom design solutions for each building and our substantial services business gives us the resources to partner with each customer for the life of a building. 2014 Oxnard Autumn Historic Home Tour
OXNARD AUTUMN HOME TOUR, SUNDAY, SEPT 28, 2014
For all homeowners, the work of keeping up a house is simply part of the deal. Some do a lot, some do a little; it's entirely an individual choice, as variable as people are.
But to a historic home—one recognized by neighbors and passersby as something unique and fine, worthy of admiration and perhaps a bit of awe—the owner owes a responsibility that is as impressive as the building itself. A person is proud to own such a home, but to do it right means stepping up to a higher level of care.
Whoever first built that house had a better architect, better craftsmen, and most of all, a better vision for what a home could be. That's why we care about historic homes—we recognize that larger effort somebody made so long ago, and we do what we can to preserve the legacy.
On September 28 2014, the public got to enjoy the 17th Oxnard Autumn Historic Home Tour, Here are some of those people and the volunteers that made it possible. For more information about the tours and images of the homes visit our website at OxnardHistoricDistrict.com

This video focuses more on Lowe's, specifically how they've grown, how they've competed with The Home Depot over the years, and their potential to take back that #1 spot.

Woolworth's Tycoon Frank Winfield Egyptian Mausoleum Tomb Mysterious Cult...
Woolworth's tycoon Frank Winfield Woolworth is entombed in a Egyptian symbolized mausoleum. Egyptian deities and symbols are taught to Americans as being all mythical, so why is this successful businessman whom lives in a Country of In God we Trust at his time of death suggest his Egyptian beliefs? People this is my rant through my many videos here that those whom know the truth about the true origins of mankind and gene altering trust in there own instincts with spiritual beliefs. Frank Winfield Woolworth- Woolworth's products are within homes globally today. His megalitic built cult shrines ( Mansions) and other built real estate structures still stand in New York and abroad. I've have been stating that such structures as pictured in the attached are soul gathering and targeting devises which bring people together in order to claim their souls. Frank Woolworth whom is rumored to be into the occult has lost a mansion in a mysterious fire, lost a daughter to a suicide while he entertained friends in the same home she died that night, and finally is placed to rest himself in a Egyptian styled Mausoleum Tomb. Obviously Frank Winfield Woolworth got filth rich believing in Egyptian deities and Gods rather then the traditional American religion. Till this day Frank Winfield Woolworth cult ideology is manifested through your body by the soles (souls) of the footlocker shoes on your foots. Tycoons like Frank Winfield Woolworth rise to riches and fame because they developed cunning cult ways to deliver great numbers of souls to dimensional spiritual places on the other side. The beacons of their towering success in capturing the souls of the unsuspecting are also the shrines which are left behind still standing in their honor. look around you! See reality for what it truly is. Additionally, these structures allow for the spiritual world of the dead to intermingle dimensionally with the that of the world of the living. To understand why people , especially kids, what to commit suicide and in doing so take as many others with them when they do so, you have to agree with me that dimensional shrine doorways which where were created by the likes of Frank Woolworth allow for evil spirits to return to our dimensional world capture the minds and souls of the living. This is the true true reality beyond the power of the rich, cult, religion, and ancient rooted knowledge of world. Look around you! Gerone Wright
Credit Builder/Oxnard California/Credit Score/Demystifying Credit Scores
Find out more about
Consumer credit allows consumers to get an advance or loan to spend money on products or services for family, household or personal uses repaid at a specified future date. Consumer credit includes purchases obtained with credit cards, lines of credit and some loans. The main advantage of consumer credit is that consumers can purchase goods and services and pay for them later. Consumers can purchase items they need when their funds are low. Consumer credit offers a backup form of payment and one monthly payment. Better Qualified offers the perfect credit management of customer’s credit score. It can determine their interest rates, insurance premiums and dream job.
Here you can find the full list of Credits Companies usually have two distinct approaches to Financial services type of business. One approach would be a bank which simply buys an insurance company or an investment bank, keeps the original brands of the acquired firm, and adds the acquisition to its holding company simply to diversify its earnings. Outside the U.S. (e.g., in Japan), non-financial services companies are permitted within the holding company. In this scenario, each company still looks independent, and has its own customers, etc. In the other style, a bank would simply create its own brokerage division or insurance division and attempt to sell those products to its own existing customers, with incentives for combining all things with one company. Better Qualified has teamed up with the affiliates to help you build credit through secured credit cards. Better Qualified has developed a proven credit management program that will help you manage your credit and save money. Unlike our competition, we take a personal approach to the credit management process and work with you every step of the way to get you the best possible results. This consultative approach ensures you receive the best results from the Better Qualified credit management process. Our clients complete the program knowing how to maintain good credit long after their term with us ends. Your credit score influences your chances of getting Credit card.Your credit score is more complex than just paying your bills on time and staying low on your limits. Sometimes, you might have poor credit simply because you don’t have enough credit. In Oxnard, the F.W. Woolworth Co. was the prototypical 5-and 10-cent chain store. It went out of business in 1997. It never had a company museum. So David Feigin, a Woolworth's fan, decided to make one. He bought a vintage store (opened in 1950) and has restored it with original wood, brick, bathroom tiles, molding, and light fixtures. He's also stocked it with original items -- none for sale, unfortunately -- as well as an operating lunch counter and a working dial pay phone.
An original Woolworth's store has been bought and more or less preserved, housing a mini museum dedicated to memorabilia of the five-and-dime, and the Fresh & Fabulous Cafe. Even the restrooms have vintage dispensers for soap, lotion, perfume, and feminine products. A great place to stop for lunch. Your credit score is important as it can affect whether you can get a mortgage, and on what terms. Your credit score doesn't have to be perfect, but when you increase it, you improve your chances of buying a home. The biggest myth of all is that Your past credit history determines your future. The scoring model, like life, is in constant change. The best way to handle change is with education. When you apply for credit, a 'credit search' is recorded on your report. Important to know that credit reporting agencies and FICO serve the banking and insurance industries as a 3rd party to rate their services.Understanding credit risk is not easy, and it’s a challenge exacerbated by the enormity of the bond market.
