It was always Ryan Brown's dream to own a bar in Nashville, which is why closing Stirrup sports bar last week was the hardest decision he's ever had to make.

Historic Alley Named After Legendary Honky Tonk
Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.NASHVILLE, TN - - Every day of the year music fills Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Most people come in through the front door, but just around the corner is another very famous entrance. Many artists came here to relax before or after the Grand Ole Opry including my dad Hank Williams says Jett Williams. The legendary alley entrance that Hank and hundreds of others have walked through has been revitalized. The original sign that hung for 60 years is glowing once again. When we started remodeling we decided to get the sign revamed they did a great job with it. It let's people know where the world famous entrance is as well says Tootsie's owner Steve Smith But that's not all. The alley itself was also named in honor of the legendary bar. When the Grand Ole Opry left, Tootsie stayed and then we kept it going. says Smith. A nod to one of Nashville's most well known landmarks and yet another reason for folks to visit Music City! Tootsies is also in the process of preserving the famous walkway that goes from the back of The Ryman to that back alley door at Tootsies.

USA - Southern Hospitality 2011 - Tootsie's Orchid Lounge (Pt. 2)
July 21, 2011. Still at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, now listening to the band do a cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believing. Just when did this song somehow become popular, again? I certainly know it didn't do very well when it first came out...

USA - Southern Hospitality 2011 - Tootsie's Orchid Lounge (Pt. 1)
July 21, 2011. On our third night in Nashville, Sophie and I went to the historic Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville's honkytonk district and listened to an up-and-coming band rock out their cover of Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy.
I loved the music and how cheap/plentiful the beer was that day. A round of PBR for everyone!

July 21, 2011. I don't know this dude nor the song he's singing, but it didn't matter since he was dancing on the bar right in front of us. Cheers to the man for not kicking over my six bottles of PBR!
The Thompson Hotel in Nashville
We stayed at the Thompson Hotel this past February of 2019 in their Thompson Suite. Beautiful hotel from the lobby to the rooftop bar. Whoever did the design of the hotel did a top notch job. We felt more like we were staying in our own apartment. All the creature comforts of home, and oh wow....That claw foot tub! I also include some footage of when we ventured out of the hotel to Broadway St. and Tootsie's....A must do when you are in Nashville!
THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF RVING???? | Tootsie's Birthday Bash ???????? in Nashville
The rain followed us from the Ozarks to Nashville, TN. We stayed at the Grand Ole RV Park, about 15 minutes from downtown Nashville. This was a great park with fantastic people and really cool amenities. They have a little general store and they have live music every night, along with some good home cooking for a great price. What more could you ask for?!
Unfortunately our week went nothing like we planned. We started off the week with a hefty purchase - new tires for the truck. This was a long time coming and we really couldn't hold out another day. Good thing we did when we did because we really needed them later that week!
We attended Tootsie's Birthday Bash, which was a free concert held downtown right on Broadway. We were excited for some great headliners - Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry, Kid Rock, Randy Houser, and Jake Owen. Unfortunately, due to Brittany's fainting in the middle of the concert ???? - we didn't make it to the end ????
That was just the beginning of the end of our road trip....
*Spoiler Alert* We sold the RV! Here's why:
