Documentary of allahabad triveni sangam full videos
The Triveni Sangam in Allahabad is a confluence of three rivers, the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Of these three, the river Saraswati is invisible and is alleged to flow underground and join the other two rivers from below. Here the muddy and pale-yellow waters of the Ganges merge with the blue waters of Yamuna. Insurance policy coverage Ganges is only 4 feet deep, the Yamuna is 40 feet deep near the point their own nexus. The river Yamuna merges into the Ganges at this point and also the Ganges continues on until it meets the sea at the Bay of Bengal. At the confluence of these two great Indian rivers, where the invisible Saraswati conjoins them, many tirtha yatris take boats to bathe from platforms erected in the Sangam. This, together however migratory birds give a picturesque look to the river during the Kumbha Mela, in the month of January. It is considered that all the gods come in human form to take a dip at the sangam and expiate their sins.
All over India, the meeting rivers amplify the holiness of the tirtha. Two rivers are much better than one three even more auspicious. The great site of the meeting rivers in north India is the sangam, the confluence, of the Ganga and Yamuna at Prayaga, where the city now called Allahabad is an acronym.
The Ganga has long been seen as the white river, bearing the mica laden waters of her Himalayan course, and the Yamuna, the blue riv.
This description of the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna seems being referred to in one of the latest sections of the Rig Veda, which says,Those who bathe at the place where the two rivers, white and dark, flow together, rise upto island. More than a thousand years later, the classical Sanskrit poet, Kalidasa, describes the confluence of the whitewaters of the Ganga with the blue waters of the Yamuna as they were a string of pearls and sapphires combined, or a garland of white and blue lotuses intertwined.
According to the Puranas, there is also yet another river, the Sarasvati
Triveni Sangam at Allahabad: where Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati meet: aerial view
The river coming in from the right of frame is the Ganges and the brownish water to the left is the Yamuna or Jamna river, with the mythical Saraswati (which disappears above Badrinath, in the Himalaya) supposedly joining in undergroung, at this tri-confluence of the three rivers, known as the Triveni sangam at Allahabad, one of the most significant spots for Hinduism.
From this point onwards, the Ganga river flows with full force, and with the added burden (or strength) of the monsoon flooding upstream, the river is as wide as a small ocean here, or so it seems.

SANGAM Allahabad (Triveni) | A Complete Documentary
This Documentary is based on Sangam,Allahabad. We can see here the colour of water which is mixing. It is holy water.
In Hindu tradition Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers. Sangama is the Sanskrit word for confluence. The point of confluence is a sacred place for Hindus. A bath here is said to wash away all of one's sins and free one from the cycle of rebirth.
One such Triveni Sangam, in Prayag (Allahabad) has two physical rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and the invisible or mythic Saraswati River. The site is in Prayag, India. A place of religious importance and the site for historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1948.
The three rivers maintain their identity and are visibly different as they merge. While the Yamuna is deep but calm and greenish in colour, the Ganga is shallow, but forceful and clear. The Saraswati remains hidden, but the faithful believe that she makes her presence felt underwater. During the monsoon, when the rivers are in full flow, the confluence of the rivers is seen clearly due to the force of the water, but the same force makes having a dip at the confluence difficult. While the Ganges is only 4 feet deep, the Yamuna is 40 feet deep near the point of their nexus. The river Yamuna merges into the Ganges at this point and the Ganges continues on until it meets the sea at the Bay of Bengal. At the confluence of these two great Indian rivers, where the invisible Saraswati conjoins them, many tirtha yatris take boats to bathe from platforms erected in the Sangam. This, together with the migratory birds give a picturesque look to the river during the Kumbha Mela, in the month of January. It is believed that all the gods come in human form to take a dip at the sangam and expiate their sins.
This was the river where an earlier Prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi used to come for a holy dip. On the bank of the Ganges at Daraganj, just before the confluence of ganga and Yamuna, the well known statistician Ravindra Khattree spent his early years when he attended Ewing Christian College, situated on the bank of Yamuna few miles before the confluence and the famous writer Surya Kant Tripathi 'Nirala' also spent his whole life at the same place (Daraganj). On the other bank of the river Ganges at Arail is located the Maharshi Institute of Management, named for Maharshi Mahesh Yogi who was a student at the University of Allahabad. The Harish Chandra Research Institute, named after the famous mathematician Harish Chandra from Allahabad, is also located on the same side - in the village of Jhusi.

- Rig Veda
It is believed from time immemorial as mentioned in many ancient Hindu scriptures, that Prayaga is the confluence of the Vedas. Ganga Mata is the Rig Veda, Yamunaji is Yajur Veda and Saraswati (Sarasvati) is Sama Veda according to the traditional Kalpavasis.
The Mahabharata, one of the great Indian epic written by Veda Vyasa has mentioned the Kumbha(Kumbh) Mela and the importance of bathing in many Slokas in the Vana Parva chapter.
The Mahabharata also mentions that the Chaturmukha Brahma, the creator amongst the trinity conducted a huge Yajna at Prayaga, and the Ramayana in the Mahabharata also reiterates the same. The Kumbha (Kumbh) Mela is also mentioned in the Brahma Purana and Vishnu Purana which state that a holy dip at Prayaga during the month of Magha provides benefits surpassing the merit gained by performing thousands of Ashvamedha Yajna
