Kildale & Captain Cook's Monument, North York Moors - 18 June 2011
An 8 mile walk from Kildale, following the Cleveland Way to Captain Cook's Monument and then onto Gribdale car park. From the car park the route follows the vehicle track over Great Ayton Moor to Percy Cross Rigg. The walk follows the unfenced road over Brown Hill, past Percy Rigg Farm and over the crossroads of the main Kildale/Commondale road. Here the road descends and crosses the Esk Valley railway line before leaving the road for the footpath on the right. The footpath then heads towards the railway line before returning to the road which the route follows back to Kildale. Music is Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap. Weather - Occasional Showers

We dropped into River Cottage HQ to learn about a UK movement towards growing and preparing one's own food.
River cottage was the original 'city life to living off the farm' series. I really enjoyed the original series and was interested to see what had developed since. River cottage HQ now run over 30 courses related to growing and cooking your own food.
The river cottage series has been so successful it has lead to similar food movements in Denmark, Australia and New Zealand. The show was also copied by SBS television in Australia with their gourmet farmer series.
For this video all I did was eat the organic food from the garden and do the interviews. Michele Zanussi did all the camerawork and editing. It was the first time she had down camerawork - How did she do? comment below.
