Zedekiah's Cave (or King Solomon's Quarries) Under the Old City of Jerusalem
Zedekiah's Cave (or King Solomon's Quarries) under the Old City of Jerusalem was used by King Solomon to quarry stone for use in building Yahweh's Temple. Some people today believe that the Ark of the Covenant is buried somewhere in Zedekiah's Cave, but to date, no one has proven that it is there. That doesn't mean that it is not there.
Zedekiah's Cave - King Solomon's Quarries, Jerusalem, Israel -Pastor Brian Stivale
Beneath the Old City of Jerusalem lies the original quarry from which the stones for the construction of the First Temple, built by King Solomon were cut. It is a site sacred to many, specifically the Freemasons. There is also a theory that the Ark of the Covenant is hidden within one of the winding (inaccessible) tunnels. In this brief greeting, Pastor Brian Stivale offers the idea that all we need to get started doing God's will in our life is WITHIN US. We often hear the term out of the box, in this teaching he offers the suggestion that we look first within before seeking without. All you need to build the foundation of God's purpose is already INSIDE of you. For more information about Pastors Brian & Jeni Stivale visit StivaleMinistries.org

Welcome and see what it look like inside this largest man-made cave in Israel.
The Mystery of Zedekiah's Cave in Jerusalem
HOLY LAND UNCOVERED | Underneath the Old City of Jerusalem and close to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall is an ancient cave full of mystery. Some of the stones carved out of this cave were used to build iconic sites in the holy city. Our Uri Shapira has the story.

Zedekiah's Cave aka King Solomon's Quarries
Just outside and east of the Damascus Gate lies Zedekiah's Cave, also known as King Solomon's Quarries. It is so named because King Zedekiah used its vast labyrinth of tunnels to try to effect an escape from the Babylonian armies of King Nebuchadnezzar, and King Solomon mined its rich limestone deposits for the stones to build the first Temple. Though the video doesn't show it, the entrance was guarded by about 5 policemen, which was typical of many places in and around the Old City due to numerous terrorist attacks in the weeks prior to my arrival to Jerusalem. But the cave is a beautiful place to explore and a great place to take respite from the heat of the Jerusalem sun. A must see on your trip to the Old City!

ZEDEKIAH'S CAVE/SOLOMON`S QUARRIES
This cave is named after King of Judah{6 BC} because it`s said that he attempted to flee a besieged Jerusalem for Jericho through this cave. Named Solomon`s quarries because when King Solomon was building the first Temple he got building materials here. It`s a five acre underground meleke limestone quarry

Underground Jerusalem: Western Wall Tunnel Discussion & a Comic Run through Zedikiah's Cave
Summary:
Part One: Western Wall Tunnel Discussion
4 Minutes, 39 Seconds (0:00 to 4:39)
The tour guide at Jerusalem's Western Wall Tunnel discusses relations and dialogues with Arabs while walking through the tunnel's massive archeological excavations under the homes and neighborhoods of the Muslim Quarter.
This project is famously controversial, and has been the catalyst of numerous Arab-Israeli confrontations. There have been at least 80 fatalities in since 1996 over issues related to the Western Wall Tunnel excavations.
The guide's comments provide an informative backdrop to these issues. He was answering my questions about dialog with the Muslim Waqf, and the sincere expressions of fear regarding Jewish tunnel projects I'd heard from Ali Al-Abassi, the Iman of the Al Aqsa Mosques.
Part Two: A Comic Run Through Zedekiah's Cave
4 Minutes, 22 Seconds (4:40 to 9:02)
The last minutes of the video contain (for comic effect) an unrelated & unedited clip of Becca and me running through the so-called Zedekiah's Cave (also known as Zedekiah's Tunnel or Solomon's Quarry) to get to the only exit before closing-time.
This massive quarry, begun in the First Temple era (around 3,000 years ago) and greatly enlarged in the Second Temple period (about 2,000 years ago) stretches underneath much of the Muslim Quarter neighborhoods in the old Walled City of Jerusalem. These man-made cavernous high-ceiling caves cover 9 acres. They begin just outside Damascus Gate and extend around 230 meters into the city, to within 100 meters of the Harem el Sharif (Temple Mount).
