6 THINGS TO DO IN QUEBEC - TRAVEL GUIDE
Quebec City is one of the cities in Canada, in this one the only city in Canada that uses French as an official language. Quebec City, also known as new France, for city planning and building design France-style architecture. For tourists visiting will be pampered with a beautiful and historic place and Quebec has a unique way to touch a human being on its own. The beauty of the layout, the colors of the fall leaves on the road, each cheery pedestrian laughter and the sound of people on a park bench you encounter, such as the unity of the Orchestra, which makes you not stop to smile every remember. If you are visiting, this is what you have to do in Quebec City.
1. Old Quebec-Upper Town
We recommend starting with the Porte St. Jean (the gate of St. Jean). Down the road of St. Jean who is one of the main streets in Old Quebec-Upper Town. On the streets of St. Jean antique buildings, lining and the majority of the buildings in Quebec City has a facade of stone. Old Quebec itself is divided into two parts: the Upper Town (Haute-Ville) and the Lower Town (Basse-Ville). The second part is bounded by cliffs that surround the Upper Town. Brest is a port city in Brittany, in northwestern France, bisected by the Penfeld river. It’s known for its rich maritime history and naval base. At the mouth of the Penfeld, overlooking the harbor, is the National Navy Museum, housed in the medieval Château de Brest. Across the river stands Tour Tanguy, a medieval tower. To the northeast are the National Botanical Conservatory and the Océanopolis aquarium.
Brest is Brittany’s second largest administrative centre, and has a great deal to offer. Although it was heavily bombed in 1944, this is by no means the town’s most interesting feature: it has rebuilt itself around a vision of the future, with incredible constructions like the Pont de l'Iroise bridge, which crosses the river Elorn. An amazing feat of architecture, this magnificent cable-stayed bridge was opened in 1994. Admire it from Albert Louppe bridge, which is for pedestrians and cyclists only. It’s a great place to take a walk and enjoy the view of the famous Brest harbour, the ‘Rade de Brest’, a sheltered area of the sea big enough for great ships to lie at anchor.
Brest is a city in the Finistère département in Brittany. Located in a sheltered position not far from the western tip of the peninsula, and the western extremity of metropolitan France, Brest is an important harbor and the second French military port after Toulon. The city is located on the western edge of continental Europe. With 142,722 inhabitants in a 2007 census, Brest is at the centre of Western Brittany's largest metropolitan area (with a population of 300,300 in total), ranking third behind only Nantes and Rennes in the whole of historic Brittany, and the 19th most populous city in France; moreover, Brest provides services to the one million inhabitants of Western Brittany.
Although Brest is by far the largest city in Finistère, the préfecture (regional capital) of the department is the much smaller Quimper.
During the Middle Ages, the history of Brest was the history of its castle. Then Richelieu made it a military harbour. Brest grew around its arsenal, until the second part of the 20th century. Heavily damaged by the Allies' bombing raids during World War II, the city centre was completely rebuilt after the war. At the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, the deindustrialization of the city was followed by the development of the service sector. Nowadays, Brest is an important university town with 23,000 students.[3] Besides a multidisciplinary university, the University of Western Brittany, Brest and its surrounding area possess several prestigious French elite schools such as École Navale (the French Naval Academy), Télécom Bretagne and the Superior National School of Advanced Techniques of Brittany (ENSTA Bretagne, formerly ENSIETA). Brest is also an important research centre, mainly focused on the sea, with among others the largest Ifremer (French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea) centre, le Cedre (Centre of Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution) and the French Polar Institute.
Brest’s history has always been linked to the sea: the Académie de Marine (Naval Academy) was founded in 1752 in this city. The aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle was built there. Every four years, Brest hosts the international festival of the sea, boats and sailors: it is a meeting of old riggings from around the world (Les Tonnerres de Brest).

Everest, a dream for all adventure seekers around the world. At 7.30 in the morning of 25th May 2014, just one hour after her teammate Malavath Poorna, who has by then already become the youngest woman in the world to reach the top of the world, Anand Kumar too peaked. Anand Kumar is also just 16 years old and a eleventh class student at Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Educational Institutions Society's school. Born of a very poor family, Anand's father was a teacher in a private school, but is now working as a cycle mechanic to repay the loan he has taken from the shop owner to construct a pucca house at his dwelling. Just few years back, half of his family members were taking turns to sleep as his house was leaking in monsoon rains. Anand vowed to reach new heights that day and he has done that against all odds. Similar to Poorna, Anand too achieved the feat in just nine months time from being selected for a rock climbing camp near Hyderabad (in September 2013) to reach to the top of the world. Unimaginable!!

Alicante is centrally located on Spain's Mediterranean coast. The air of the city is pervaded with the scents of the sea; indeed the city has been an important seaport for many centuries.
There is nothing as pleasant as strolling along the quayside promenade lined by four rows of palms, tessellated with marble in Alicante red, cream and black in imitation of the waves of the Mediterranean.
Many famous residents have spoken lovingly of the city; in the words of the poet and novelist, Juan Gil-Albert, Alicante looks uninterruptedly to the Mediterranean. Author Gabriel Miró wrote, my city is pierced through and through by the Mediterranean and another native author, Joan Fuster, wrote that Alicante is without a doubt, the friendliest of all Valencian cities, a city one would choose to live in if one were to exchange a village for a city.
Culture
The city offers an interesting range of cultural activities in various centres around town, such as the Casa de la Cultura (cultural centre), which has a well-stocked library, a historical archive and keeps locals and visitors abreast of cultural events such as expositions, conferences and films.
The Teatro Principal (Principal Theatre) is a neo-classical building dating from the 19th century, which runs an extensive programme of shows and plays throughout the year.

Jijona is only 26 km from Alicante, the birthplace of Turrón, a sticky almond sweet very popular in Spain and served at Christmas.
Close at hand are the Caves of Canelobre, a marvel of nature and just outside Alicante you can see the largest Palm Forest in Europe; on a trip to Elche you can enjoy a stroll through the subtropical environment.
Orihuela with its wide variety of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings is just 54 km from Alicante.

The Odet is a river in western France (Finistère department), which runs from Saint-Goazec (near Leuhan, in the Montagnes Noires of Brittany) into the Atlantic Ocean at Bénodet. The name of the town of Bénodet comes from the river; ben means river mouth in Breton.
The river runs past, or through, the towns of Bénodet, Combrit, Plomelin, Quimper, Ergué-Gabéric, Briec-de-l'Odet, Langolen, Coray, Trégourez, Leuhan and Saint-Goazec. It is 62.7 km (39.0 mi) long and its basin area is 724 km2 (280 sq mi).
Named the prettiest river in France, the Odet springs from the Montagnes noires. Stunning in the Stangala gorges, it quietly crosses through Quimper then makes its way out to sea, passing woodland dotted with beautiful chateaux and charming little harbours. The Odet is a tidal river 62km long, with a maritime section from Quimper out to the sea in Bénodet / Sainte-Marine.

Just hop on board and you will discover some breathtaking landscapes and castles. During this boat trip, you will also the opportunity to appreciate some beautiful manor houses along with their parks and gardens. And what about trying to go down the river with a kayak (departure from Bénodet). The Odet is a beautiful river you have to see during your holidays in Finistère.
