Arugam Bay is the surfing paradise of Sri Lanka! It has a great beach, waves of all sizes and offers a decent nightlife so there's a party every night. We spend a few days in the nearby Pottuvil and got into a lot of unexpected situations!

Sri Lanka ist ein Inselstaat im indischen Ozean, welcher südöstlich von Indien und nordöstlich der Malediven liegt. Die dokumentierte Geschichte des Landes reicht bis zu 3000 Jahre zurück, es gibt jedoch Hinweise auf Siedlungen die bereits vor 125.000 Jahren im heutigen Sri Lanka lagen. Sri Lanka war seit der britischen Kolonialzeit bis 1972 als Ceylon bekannt.
Nachdem ich euch Sri Lankas Zentrum & das Hochland in der ersten Folge von The Tropical Escape vorgestellt habe…zeige ich euch nun die schönsten Strände des Landes, mache eine kulinarischen Abstecher und nehme euch mit zu den Leoparden im Yala Nationalpark
Sri Lanka beheimatet zahlreiche traumhafte Strände und ist ein ganzjähriges Reiseziel, da der Monsun in den einzelnen Regionen genau zu entgegengesetzten Zeiten auftritt. Somit ist die optimale Reisezeit für den Süden und die Westküste von Dezember bis April, während die Ostküste von April bis August am empfehlenswertesten ist.

Hikkaduwa beach 2019
Hikkaduwa beach is one of the best beach in srilanka .Hikkaduwa Beach is great for swimming and body surfing however, the surf conditions change rapidly and major rip currents can develop.The world famous sea corral garden is in the tourist village called Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka, You can see the corral garden under the sea by travelling by Glass Boats
ll the hotels and cafes which have their face on the road have the other outing on the beach side
the beachside area lightens up in the evening and you have an entire stretch of the beach full of the shacks serving liquor and Sri Lankan seafood
When you get off the train turn left not right left is direction for small town centre bars and hotels This place is 20 min from Galle and a nice place to visit or stay
but be careful the waves can get really big a strong!
You won't find a sea of Sun beds here
