The Castle of Santa Ana , also called Castillo de Las Roquetas , is a fortification between the late XVI and XVII century in Roquetas de Mar , Almería , which served as a refuge for the inhabitants of the municipality of that time who lived near the port .
Before the construction of the Castle of Santa Ana, there is the tower built by the monarch Yusuf I , at the beginning of the fourteenth century . But it is in the sixteenth century when a tower is actually erected that escorts the production and shipment of the saline salt. Reason for this building are the assaults of pirates to the Almeria coast to steal cargoes of salt. This is why its main purpose at this time was defensive and not cultural as at present. It is during the seventeenth century when this fortification gives up because of the economic difficulties that the crown passed, unable to face the continuous earthquakes that destroyed the whole building. But thanks to Luis de Castro Inestrosathe walls of the enclosure, the towers, the houses were rebuilt, and a new parapet was built for the first time to start the artillery. Also, Inestrosa committed to redo the five towers of the marina: Rambla Honda , Cerrillos , Entinas , Guardia Vieja and Alhamilla .
At the beginning of 1997 , the city council of Roquetas de Mar decided to carry out the reconstruction following the original plans of the Castle of Santa Anapara to recover a historical memory. This reconstruction was completed in 2003 and until then has been receiving works of great artists within the provincial, national and international panorama. Thus, it has become one of the Andalusian museums of the rocky municipality and the province of Almeria with a great relevance. Since its inauguration in 2003, has become a major tourist attraction in the municipality of Roquetas de Mar, being visited by large numbers of tourists. Thus, after this reconstruction, the interior organization of the castle has been divided into three spaces.

The Roman bridge of Córdoba is a bridge in the Historic centre of Córdoba, Andalusia, southern Spain, originally built in the early 1st century BC across the Guadalquivir river, though it has been reconstructed at various times since.
Most of the present structure dates from the Moorish reconstruction in the 8th century. It is included in the small preserved area known as Sotos de la Albolafia. Cordoba Roman Bridge was built by the Romans in the early 1st century BC, perhaps replacing a previous wooden one. It currently, after the Islamic reconstruction, has 16 arcades, one less than originally, and a total length of 247 meters. The width is around 9 meters.
The Via Augusta, which connected Rome to Cádiz, most likely passed through it. During the early Islamic domination the Muslim governor Al-Samh ibn Malik al-Khawlani ordered a bridge to be built on the ruins of what was left of the old Roman construction. In the Middle Ages, the Calahorra Tower and the Puerta del Puente were built at the bridge's southern and northern ends, respectively (the latter is now a 16th-century reconstruction). The bridge was reconstructed and expanded to its current size. The arches depict the famous Moorish architecture that dominates the city's scenery. In the 17th century, a sculpture depicting St. Raphael was put in the middle of the bridge, executed by Bernabé Gómez del Río.
During its history, the bridge was restored and renovated several times (in particular in the 10th century), and now only the 14th and 15th arches (counting from the Puerta del Puente) are original. It was extensively restored in 2006.

The Ancient Sinagogue, Cordoba, Spain
La Sinagoga de Cordoba...
Situated on Calle de los Judios in the Jewish Quarter of Codoba, Spain, La Sinagoga, built in 1315 (5075 in the Jewish calendar) is the only preserved synagogue in Andalucia after the expulsion of the Jews in 1492. It is one of only three synagogues left in Spain, the other two are Toledo.
In 1492 this synagogue was used as the St. Quiteria hermitage and the house as a hospital for hydrophobic people. In 1588 it became property of the shoemakers' corporation brotherhood under the patronage of St. Crispin and St. Crispiniano. In the 19th century its paneling was replaced with a barrel vault and plasterwork on its walls in 1884, when part of the mortared walls of the synagogue fell down. One year later, in 1885, it was declared national monument and its restoration was started.
