One day in Lavasa!
Pune to Lavasa
Lavasa is a resort town located about 2 hours from Pune.
Family and I decided to go stay there for the night. We stayed at the Waterfront Shaw, which was super convenient as it had tons of restaurants and was close to all the amenities.
Lavasa offers some recreational activities. They have Jet Skis but they don't let you drive ... it's an escorted tour of the lake.
They also have what they call extreme sports, but I wouldn't really call them extreme. activities include ATV ride, rock climbing, Air rifle, Archery, and zipline.
I would say it's worth checking out once and not more than a day... there isn't really that much to do. Also, try to go when the weather is better maybe September - Jan. It was really hot when we went.

Amboli Ghat Waterfalls - Best Monsoon Getaway to the Western Ghats from Mumbai, Pune...
Let us go on a tour of Amboli Ghat - a kingdom of Waterfalls hidden in the lush green valley of Western Ghats, On the way we pass through several small streams of waterfalls coming down from the hills and merging into the rivers below. Amboli Ghat is in the state of Maharashtra in India. During the monsoon, several streams of waterfalls can be seen gushing down the western ghats. Most of these waterfalls can be viewed from the road and are therefore easily accessible. Amboli is a beautiful hill station with pleasant weather and is a small town atop the western ghats. It is a popular tourist attraction and is close to the state of Goa as well.
The waterfalls go through the roads and fall into the deep valley. From certain vantage points, you can see multiple falls falling from steep cliffs. At other points, they are hidden behind the trees and only make their presence felt with their gushing sound. At one place they were like an artificial wall with tiny pink flowers coming out of it. It felt like a natural watering mechanism for this vertical garden. Tall mountains carrying streams of water on one side and deep valleys receiving this water on the other side. It is like walking through the waterfalls but thanks to the engineers who built the road. Without the need to be wet unless of course, it starts raining. At some places, we walked through the clouds and at times we waited for the clouds to clear the view. Sometimes they obliged sometimes they did not.
