Travel Portugal in 4K: Lisbon, Sintra & Lagos | GoPro & DJI Mavic Pro
Exploring Lagos and Lisbon, Portugal. This is a great trip and is relatively easy to do- just a 5 hour train connects Lisbon to Lagos, and getting to Sintra is a simple 30 minute commuter train from Lisbon. All of the destinations were seen in a one week trip.

Lisbon:
*Lisbon is full of things to do. I recommend staying near, Barro Alto and the Rossio Train Station (Used to get to Sintra). We stayed right inbetween and it was the perfect location.
*Go up the Santa Justa Lift! But, you do not have to wait in line to go up the lift. Just go to Restaurante Panorâmico em Lisboa, located just to the south side of the Carmo Archaeological Museum

*Tips on getting to Sintra: Go to the Rossio Train Station, and the train will take you straight to Sintra. Google Maps of the route:

*Once in Sintra: we wanted to use the bus (Bus 43) to tour, but traffic was so bad, we just spent more to take a Tuk-Tuk ($5 per person per ride vs. $5 all day for the bus).
*Do not miss the Initiation Well in Quinta da Regaleira!
LAGOS:
*To get to Lagos: take the metro to the Sete Rios Stationi. Then the train takes about 3.5 hours to get to Tunes, where you will transfer. The next train's final stop is Lagos. Google Maps of the train route to get to Lagos:

*Lagos is a very small town but one could easily spend 4 nights here.
*Hike along the path to take in the other beaches
*Make sure to do a kayak, paddleboard or boat tour to see the beaches from below
*If you're into Kayaking, do the Kayak trip. It will get you into many of the caves, but it is a lot of work, so be prepared!

ALGARVE: Praia da Falésia, beach (Portugal)
Falésia Beach (Praia da Falésia, meaning Cliff Beach) is a beach in Albufeira, Algarve, southern Portugal. It has a cliff that begins in the Praia do Barranco das Belharucas (beach) and extends to Vilamoura area.
The beach is part of a continuous stretch of sand almost 7 km in length. It is flanked by a line of high cliffs in deep tones ranging from reds to whitish, in contrasting colours with the green of the pine groves above.
At the western end, the cliff is high but soft, composed of sand and clay, so the rain wears away grooves and gullies.
To the east, the cliff is gradually losing height, while remaining deeply eroded. It is this erosion that keeps the beach sandy. As a result, small cones of sand forming at the base of these cliffs.

10 Things to do in Matera, Italy Travel Guide Food Video Transcript:
One destination that’s been at the very top of our travel bucket list for a while now is Matera, and on this trip to Italy, we were determined to make it happen!
Nicknamed “the stone city”, Matera has been quite literally dug out of the rock, and it’s a sight you won’t soon forget. Set on the slope of a rocky ravine, the landscape is dominated by cave dwellings, zigzagging staircases, and early churches that hold some incredible frescoes once you set foot inside.
During our visit, we stayed in the “sassi”, which is the ancient town, and in our opinion, the best way to soak in the vibe of this place.
Now in this video, we’re going to take you on a tour of the city and show you some of the things you can see, do and eat when you visit Matera.
Matera is well-known for its rupestrian churches, carved into the rock and covered in frescoes.
We first stopped by Chiesa Rupestre di San Pietro Barisano, which is the largest rock church in the city of Matera.
We wanted to show you the frescoes, so we continued to Convento di Sant’Agostino, a church and convent dating back to the late 16th Century. We started walking uphill via a series of staircases and winding streets, until we found ourselves in front of Matera Cathedral.
The rocky landscape we noticed is called Murgia (MoorJa) National Park and it’s an archaeological site with cliffs, gorges & caves.
Let’s take a quick break to introduce you to Materan cuisine. Like most of the establishments in Matera, this restaurant was set in a cave and we ate pasta, wine & dessert?
We spent a lot of time visiting cave churches, but for a look at how locals lived in these troglodyte dwellings, we visited Casa Grotta.
The Sassi District is a made up of a network of dwellings carved into the steep slopes of the valley walking into the Casa Grotta.
We visited Palombaro Lungo, a massive water cistern that sits directly under Matera’s main square.
After visiting Palombaro Lungo, we also found ourselves in front of the ruins of Chiesa del Santo Spirito. The church sits beneath Piazza Vittorio Veneto where you can make out frescoes on the walls.
Continuing our quest for Materan cuisine, we ended up at Ristorante Nadi - another cave restaurant that we stumbled upon by chance to see if we could get through a 4 course meal.
Our final recommendation for Matera would be to explore the city at night. Matera looks magical between sunset and blue hour and it was a pleasure to wander around with camera in hand.

The Algarve is the southernmost region of mainland Portugal. It has an area of 4,997 square kilometres (1,929 sq mi) with 451,006 permanent inhabitants, and incorporates 16 municipalities. The region has as its administrative centre the city of Faro, where both the region's international airport (FAO) and public university (the University of the Algarve) are located. Tourism and related activities are extensive and make up the bulk of the Algarve's summer economy. Production of food, which includes fish and other seafood, fruit, oranges, carob beans, figs and almonds, is also economically important in the region. The Algarve is the most popular tourist destination in Portugal, and one of the most popular in Europe. Its population triples in the peak holiday season thanks to a high influx of visitors, and receives an average of 7 million foreign tourists each year.
