Get off the main road and see the true beauty of the Mornington Peninsula on its back beaches - we'll take you on an unforgettable adventure through Sorrento, Blairgowrie, Cape Shanck and Point Nepean National Park - coastlines, beaches, rock pools and blowholes that will steal your breath away. Quite literally.
The most beautiful Mornington Peninsula attractions are all free-of-charge and really are Mother Nature's finest works of art. We head down every summer and stumble upon a new natural marvel each time, which is why we can never get enough of its beauty. If you're not up for a 3-hour trip to see the sights down at the Great Ocean Road, I would highly recommend a day or weekend trip to this gorgeous corner of Victoria that - pretty much - is almost the same thing but on a smaller scale.
And, of course - a trip here isn't complete without a visit to the Mornington Peninsula Spa, or Hot Springs. After a long day of hiking jagged coastlines and exploring various beaches, relax and unwind in these natural mineral pools and soak up the serene atmosphere that surrounds you.
Only a short one and a half hour drive from the CBD - it's a perfect Melbourne day trip and one of the best things to do in Victoria, Australia.

Melbourne Day Trips: Wilson's Prom
During my four months in Australia, I took five day trips to popular destination outside of Melbourne. Out of the five, I definitely saw the most wildlife (wombats and kangaroos!) at Wilsons Prom. Come explore Victoria, Australia with me! After a night going through Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne and hanging with Australia possums, we take off on a Great Ocean Road trip with Wildlife Tours Australia. The trip brings us to many Great Ocean Road beaches and beach towns along with the stunning 12 Apostles and to the adorable Kafe Koala where we are greeted by colorful birds and koalas. Day two of the tour had us exploring through the Grampians National Park and hanging out with kangaroos (including a kangaroo fight!).

In three weeks time this green little campervan monster took us from the Adelaide Hills, along the famous Great Ocean Road to the buzzing city of Melbourne and our final destination in Sydney.
It is officially impossible to ever get tired of Australia’s landscapes and wildlife. During these scenic coastal drives, mindblowing city views and countless forest walks, we always keep an eye out for Emu’s, Kangaroos, Koala’s and all the beauty Aussieland has to offer.
Underwater shots were taken at divesites: “The bluff” Victor Harbor, Bluff in Adelaide. “Flinders Pier and Blairgowrie Pier” in Melbourne. “Oak Park” in Cronulla, Sydney.
A special thanks to Diving Adelaide for taking us to see the Leafy Seadragons again, even when weather conditions were not mighty fine.
