How do we deal with the imminent population shrinkage? The Netherlands stands at a turning point. After a long period of growth, we first stifle for a century in a period of shrinkage. In Drenthe, a primary school must close again because there are insufficient children while in the West many young families look back in the old towns. The decline of the population and the trek from the shrinkage areas poses new questions. Unlike before, we will no longer be led by the church or by the government when it comes to the direction of our country. But history teaches that we always find ways to solve issues. We are finally able to see the end of problems in the area of Amsterdam Zuid-oost (south west), and to say hello to a brighter future.
The Netherlands from above shows us a country from a spectacular perspective. From the sky it is possible to see how the Netherlands changes through the seasons, and how in parallel they form the determining moments of our own life cycle.
