Campton, which includes the villages of Blair, Campton Hollow, Lower Campton and West Campton, is home to Blair State Forest and Livermore Falls State Forest. It is located in the foothills of the White Mountains, and parts of the White Mountain National Forest are in the northeast.

The Blair Bridge is a wooden covered bridge originally built in 1829, that crosses the Pemigewasset River near Campton, New Hampshire, United States. It connects New Hampshire Route 175 to the east and U.S. Route 3 and Interstate 93 to the west. The bridge was damaged during Tropical Storm Irene on August 28, 2011. After this period, the bridge underwent many structural repairs by master bridgewright Arnold M. Graton and reopened in early 2015, with a weight limit of six tons per vehicle - twice as much as the old limit of three tons. As with many covered bridges, it is only wide enough for one lane of traffic; opposing traffic must wait until the bridge has cleared.

The Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch State Park

On my short holiday in the USA I went to the Flume Gorge in New Hampshire.
The Flume can you find in Franconia Notch State Park up north in this beautifull state.
In the Flume you can do a 3.2 Km ( 2 Miles ) hike where you not only see the water come down in the Flume Gorge but also the Sentinel Pine Covered Bridge if you follow the Ridge path from top of the gorge.

Beede Falls and Cow Cave

After we finished hiking Mount Israel we decided to continue the day by taking the Bear Camp River Trail to Sandwich Notch Park. To are three attractions in park...Beede Falls, Cow Cave and the Lower Falls.. Cow Cave is named from the folklore of a cow who survived the winter under a rock overhang. We explored all the caves then headed down to Lower Falls and kept following them until the water became a lazy waterway. On then to Beede Falls, a very unique waterfall. It was an exciting day.
