Montezuma's Revenge - How to Avoid Traveler's Diarrhea
Traveling abroad can lead to all kinds of adventures. One adventure that no one likes, but does happen is Montezuma's Revenge, or Traveler's Diarrhea. This common occurance does happen to travelers whenever they may travel to new countries or regions. It is caused mostly by contaminated food and contaminated water. So here we go through what you can do if you do get traveler's diarrhea.
Some Basic Tips:
1. Make sure all food you eat is properly prepared. Undercooked meats, bad shellfish and other foods can cause some of the worst cases of traveler's diarrhea.
2. Drink bottled water or at least make sure that the tap water is drinkable.
3. Have medicine with you just in case, Immodium AD, Pepto-Bismol, Gas-X are all typical medicines in the US that travelers should take with them in case Montezuma's revenge strikes.
4. Street food can be a great experience while abroad, but do take care. If the locals are not eating at the food truck, best you not eat there either.

With Candida at the 17th-century University, Genova
Like everyone else, I knew that the Jesuits once had great influence. In their heyday, they probably possessed, within their order, the greatest stores of knowledge, including scientific, available anywhere.
But I had never visited a Jesuit University. So when Candida, the Art History student I met in Genova, proposed to take me to one, I jumped enthusiastically.
The university is still in operation, so many centuries later. What amused me was that, as Candida explains in the video, the basic organization of the university remains the same: one courtyard for the students and another for faculty, where students are not allowed.
Of course, I wanted to sneak in. But Candida was adamant...
