Umbria | Watch the beauty of this wonderful Italian Region | Just 2 Min | born2travel.it
This time we go to discover a green region, full of traditions, good food, great oil ... I'm talking about Umbria.
The region with the largest number of medieval villages registered in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy.
Umbria is a region rich in art, culture, history, good food and religion. From the entrance arches and from the walls of the cities of the Etruscan and then Roman times you go to the medieval age, with squares full of buildings built at the time of the Signori and the Communes.
Countless churches embellish an already very picturesque territory.
Umbria is the real green lung of Italy, I’m sure you and your family will love it.

Denmark, Germany, Austria in 3 days - By Plane, Train, Bus, and Ship
Our third time visiting Europe in the last few years. This time we're arriving from Thailand, spending a short night in Copenhagen, Denmark (we considered checking out Sweden for a few weeks but decided after landing in Copenhagen to just keep moving south for now). Check out our three day journey by plane (previous episode), train, ship, bus... and foot, until we arrive at our next temporary destination, the gorgeous Tyrol region of southern Austria / northern Italy.

About Us:
I'm PJ. My partner, inspiration, trainer, chef, and moral compass, Risa, are what we (reluctantly) refer to as, digital nomads. I say, reluctantly, as I've been living the digital nomad lifestyle for about 15 years now (long before the term was coined, and became the cheesy trend it is today. It seems that everyone these days on vacation with a laptop, a pina colada next to them, Avicii on their headphones, and a dozen memory sticks filled with selfies now considers themselves a (don't forget the hashtag) digital nomad.
I started out at age 19. I quit my job at the time, to focus on the then still relatively unknown arbitrage business model as applied on eBay. Long story short, I saw an opportunity, invested all I had in it (time + money) and by my early 20s, I no longer had any interest in returning to Canada (where I grew up). I bounced mostly around Asia, for many years (all the usual nomad hotspots: Thailand, Vietnam, S. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, with a preference for Japan (lived all over Japan, from Tokyo, to the most remote Japanese islands in the Pacific).
In late 2013, one of my returns to Tokyo, I met a captivating young woman, Risa, who helped me to re-calibrate my high-flyin', rock-star lifestyle and regain focus. Within a few months of meeting, she elected to quit her job in Tokyo and joined me on this nomadic journey. This channel, will document our perpetual traveller lifestyle. It's not always easy, it's not always fun. There are highs and lows. Sometimes money is very tight, other times it seems like it's the least of our worries. But when done right, the digital nomad lifestyle is a journey unlike any other.
Over the last few years, we generally stay off the beaten path and instead venture into areas seldom spoken about in digital nomad circles. You won't see us visiting Bali, Saigon, or Bangkok. Been there, got the SIM card, and still feel a bit hungover.
As we travel, we focus on personal growth, on disconnecting, unlearning, and thus thriving. We attempt to engage in philanthropy when we can. We respect the cultures kind enough to allow us to visit their land and their homes.
Feel free to send us feedback, comments, suggestions. Thank you for taking an interest in our journey. More videos of exotic places, stories, and people, will be uploaded weekly. As a demonstration of my gratitude to you for taking an interest in us, I will continue improving the quality of the content I create for you on a regular basis.
PJ, and Risa

Castello di Torrechiara, Torrechiara, Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, Europe
Torrechiara Castle is a 15th-century manor with medieval and Renaissance tracts, located on the top of a rocky panoramic cliff at the doors of Val Parma, is flanked by the small medieval village of Torrechiara, hamlet of Langhirano, in the province of Parma. Desired by Count Pier Maria II de 'Rossi as a mighty defensive structure and elegant nest of love for herself and the lover Bianca Pellegrini, is considered one of the most remarkable scenographic and best preserved castles d 'Italy. Since the 1911 Italian National Monument, protected by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism in the Emilia-Romagna Museum [6], is included in the circuit of the Castelli Association of the Ducato of Parma and Piacenza. The castle stands at an altitude of 278 m asl. on the top of a terraced hill, whose eastern and southern flanks were raised at the time of the manor building to allow the construction of defensive structures. The mighty fortification develops on a nearly rectangular plant around the Central Court of Honor, with four quadrangular towers at the ends; is surrounded by the triple stone wall circle, modified at the end of the 16th century: the most exterior, demolished, rolled up the hill; the middle one, lowered, encircles the village extended to the north of the castle; the most internal, partially elevated, contradicts the manor. The building is also encircled by a double moat, originally dominated by two hoist bridges: the outermost, vanished, developed around the village; the most interior, still existing, surrounds the wall circle closest to the castle. Both ditches were designed dry by Pier Maria II de Rossi himself, so he wanted to prevent those who intend to attempt climbing to the castle had the chance to hide in the water. The manor house, lined with stone as well as brick on the top of the towers, rises on high slopes, specially built for structural and especially warlike reasons. In addition to the three wall circles, the two ditches, the double bridge decks and the two rivells, there are numerous defensive features originally found in the fortress, which still reveal the traces: the sinuous access path exposed to the shooting of archers; the wooden winds closing the spaces between the Ghibelline boulders, later covered by roofs; the compartmentable walkways; the long bastards with cadizies running on the perimeters of the towers and exterior facades of all the buildings; the massive doorman surmounted by dungeon. The eastern prospect differs from the others by the presence of the two fronts projecting from the towers, built at the end of the sixteenth century, lifting the ramparts of the inner circle; at the top there are two large panoramic loggias, overlooking the Val Parma and the plain.
Colorno, Italy - Reggia di Colorno and some more
I was driving from Milan to Ancona and stoped in this beautifull place to lunch and took the opportunity to do some sightseeing around the town without any map. Was a pity because only after the journey saw that I must return someday to make a proper visit. The stoppage time for the stay was only 2 houres.
