Costa de Antigua / Nuevo Horizonte - What is it like?
Costa de Antigua / Nuevo Horizonte - What is it like?
I went to Costa de Antigua, formerly Nuevo Horizonte, with the intention of making a What's it like video showing it in as positive light as possible. Unfortunately it didn't turn out like that.
The more I walked around, the harder it was to find anything nice to film or anything good to say about it, which is a There are some unfinished projects and even more completed apartment and villa complexes that are totally empty. It is also a shame that its greatest asset, the coastline, is spoilt by the ugly, disused lido, the empty villas and there not being anywhere to sit and have a coffee or a drink and look at the sea.
There is no beach in Costa Antigua. There are two hotels there, the Elba Lucia Sport and Suite Hotel and the Globales Costa Tropical Fuerteventura Hotel.
Although there isn't a great deal here, it is only a 10 to 15 minute walk along the coastal path to Caleta, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants etc.
On a more positive note, I went into one of the bars for a coffee and asked the person behind the bar if she lived there. She said yes, so I asked her what the good things about living there were. She said three things The people, as it is really friendly the cost, as it is very cheap to live there and finally, there is no stress. All good points but not easy to show in a video.
I can see why people might live here as it is quiet and out of the way but I really see no attraction in staying here for a holiday when you consider the wonderful alternative resorts in Fuerteventura.

Malaga Spain - Travel Guide - Top attractions Costa del Sol
Malaga Spain - Travel Guide - Top attractions Costa del Sol
In this episode we arrive in the Spanish City of Malaga located in the Costa del Sol, Spain. We started our day parking at the castle of Gibralfaro and had a long scenic walk into the city.
We were surprised by how nice Malaga was and had a really enjoyable time seeing the top attractions which included the cathedral ( ,Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga), artist Picasso's birthplace, Roman Theatre Alcazaba and took a walk through the Malaga Park (Parque de Malaga)
We found a wonderful winery when wandering through a side street called Antigua Casa de Guardia If you get the chance to visit you must. There was also wonderful food from tapas, a large food hall & market area and lots of interesting spice shops.
We had a really nice time getting lost in Malaga and would recommend visiting it.
We hope that you enjoy this episode .

WELCOME to VALENCIA ESPAÑA
Valencia is filled with culture, food, and amazing architecture old and new. The city lies along the Mediterranean coast and is one of the largest ports in Europe. Today we are going to visit the old city, enjoy the tapas, and visit the aquarium at the Oceanographic Park which was built by local famed architect Calatrava. Let's go!
Valencia was founded in 138 B.C by the Romans. The Old Town has a Medieval layout with architectural treasures including the Mercado Central (Central Market) and the Gothic Cathedral.
Valencia is famous for food, especially Paella. It is known as the birthplace of Paella, Spain's iconic rice dish. At the market, I try the jamón (ham) and orange juice, which is a staple of the Iberian diet. Next, I visit a tapas bar where I try the Spanish wine and more jamón.
Next stop is the port area. The L'Oceanogràfic or Oceanographic Park, which has an aquarium filled with sharks, jellyfish, dolphins, belugas, walruses, sea lions, seals, fish and an underground aquarium tunnel. Oceanogràfic of Valencia is the largest aquarium in Europe.
It is part of the City of Arts and Sciences park complex, designed by local architect Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. Calatrava is Valencian and known for his futurist designs which draw inspiration from living organisms, some buildings here resemble a vertebrae and an eye (Hemisfèric cinema). A visit to this park is a must and several of its buildings have become icons in the city.

Find a holiday apartment or villa to rent in Caleta -
In this video I show the marina, the beaches, shops, restaurants, bars, some of the hotels and the golf courses. I also talk a bit about what Costa Caleta was like in 1987 when I first stayed there.
The Caleta de Fuste tour includes:
First I show the Caleta de Fuste marina area which is one of the nicest parts of the resort I think.
After that the video covers the two Caleta de Fuste beaches - Castillo beach and Atlantico beach. Both beaches are completely artificial. The sand has been imported to create what I would describe as a beach theme area rather than a beach. They are without a doubt the worst beaches on Fuerteventura, but some people seem to love them. Each to their own I guess. What do you think of Caleta de Fuste beach?
I then show some of the Caleta de Fuste town centre commercial areas starting with Castillo Central. I cover the shops in Caleta de Fuste with some of the bars and restaurants in Caleta de Fuste too. I couldn't really show the Caleta de Fuste nightlife in this video. Another day perhaps.
There are too many hotels in Caleta de Fuste to cover in one video but I do show the Barcelo Fuerteventura and the Hotel Elba Carlota.
This is followed by a quick look at the Fuerteventura golf courses - first the Fuerteventura Golf Resort, which is a championship course where the Spanish Open took place in 2004. Then I show the Golf Club Salinas de Antigua which is the public course.
I finish the video by going to the top of Chipmunk Mountain and show some general views of the area.

Caleta de Fuste 2018 is very different to Caleta de Fuste in 1987 that is for sure. See what it was like here -
