How does Switzerland look like in the summer? 4K Video with drone footage
Another day, another venture into nature - and what place on earth has a greater presence of preserved (and respected) natural wonders, than Switzerland? We found another new hiking trail we wanted to take on, this time around, starting in the beautiful town of Einsiedeln, hiking up towards the nearby peaks (well, nearby- as in about 15-20 kms away, then straight up a mountain to the top). Although I barely include any footage from the final 2 hrs or so, this actually ended up as one of our less memorable hikes. We (or... rather, I), planned very poorly for this one. I slept in (by several hours) and by the time we arrived at our starting point, it was already 14:00 or so. Normally, by this time, we'd already be half way through a massive hike. Today, we were just getting started. The trail didn't look tough on Google, so I figured- we'd be ok. I was wrong. Daylight became a serious issue towards the end (we were still several kms from civilization, with darkness quickly coming upon us. There are no lights up in this remote mountain paths. We also ran out of water, and food. Risa had serious trouble with her feet (improper shoes for this kind of mountain hiking), and carrying her down- wasn't an option (due to the steep downlslope in some parts). It was just... one of those hikes that was beauitulf/scenic early on, but towards the end- our only focus was getting off the mountain before darkness set in, and her injury got worse. We made it home ok that night, and Risa has since recovered but... following this hike, we've decided that vast improvements in our preparation from now on, are mandatory. We've already ordered proper hiking sticks (to help minimize the risk of slipping), and... we will always leave at least a 2hr buffer of daylight, to leave room for a slower descent, in case of unexpected trouble. :)

In this episode of Swiss Made Adventures, our three travellers are going to relax, and do as they please in and around famous lakes in Switzerland. Movie maniac Meiyang Chang will ride a horse to Lake Lauenen near Gstaad which is Director, Producer Yash Chopra's favourite location. And Chef Kunal Kapur will go fishing in Lake Lugano.

Canton Schwyz Tourism and Swiss Traditions
Schwyz is a canton in central Switzerland between the Alps in the south, Lake Lucerne to the west and Lake Zürich in the north. It is one of the founding cantons of Switzerland. The Sustenpass is one of the most beautiful roads in Switzerland
Susten Pass (German: Sustenpass) is a mountain pass in the Swiss Alp
The pass road connects Innertkirchen (CH) in the canton of Bern
with Wassen(CH) in the canton of Uri. 45.8 km
The pass is popular with tourists, especially for the views of the Stein Glacier on the south side
Sustenpass is a pass and is nearby to Titlis, Farnigen and Nieder Surenen Alp.
Sustenpass is also close to Sustenspitz, Steisee and Chalchtalfirn.
Sustenpass has an elevation of 2,224 metres.
