Mount Vesuvius and Herculaneum Day Trip in Naples, Italy Travel Guide Video Transcript:
The journey from Pompeii to Herculaneum is a scenic one with Mount Vesuvius to one side and the Bay of Naples to the other. It only took us 20 minutes to get there by train, so if you’re looking for a day trip, it doesn’t get much easier than this one. Just maybe don’t get off in the outskirts of town like we did, but more on that later.
Vesuvio's Express is a shuttle service that runs to the top of the volcano, so if you’re expecting a guided tour filled with lots of interesting facts, this isn’t it.
That being said, we were perfectly happy to tour the site on our own, and we couldn’t beat the price at 20 Euros per person.
The only problem we encountered was that the roads were completely iced over the further we went up the mountain, and at one point the bus just had to give up and let all the passengers off to go the rest of the way on foot.
Things got a little easier once we swapped icy paved roads for a dirt trail, though we also had snow to contend with, but we eventually reached the top. I would say one of the coolest things about hiking up to Mount Vesuvius was being able to see that it’s a volcano within a volcano, and while there was no bubbling lava visible to the eye, we could see steam rising from several vents.
Our next stop after lunch were the ruins of Herculaneum, an ancient Roman town that was destroyed by Mount Vesuvius. While Pompeii was covered in ash, Herculaneum was hit by the pyroclastic flow that followed the explosion of 79 AD, which also led to its preservation.
What at first glance appears to be a moat, is Herculaneum’s ancient shoreline. Here we were met with the aftermath of the explosion: a row of old boat houses, each of them filled with the skeleton remains of those who did not escape during the first day of the eruption.

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit
Join us for this Canadian Rockies travel guide as we explore one of Canada's most beautiful places to visit. The big reason we took a road trip from Ontario to Alberta and British Columbia was to see the Rocky Mountains. For Audrey's parents, especially her Dad, it has been a dream to see this beautiful part of Canada for decades. With a chance to finally do it we were all thrilled to visit the Canadian Rockies together as a family with Togo the German Shepherd. The following is everywhere we visited in and around the Canadian Rockies including most of our time spent in Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia:
1) Getting our park passes at Banff National Park for the whole family
2) Exploring the town of Banff including hiking the Bow River Trail and the Banff Springs Hotel
3) Visiting the nearby town of Canmore to walk along Policeman’s Creek Boardwalk Trail
4) Visiting Cascade Ponds where Audrey's sister got married
5) Exploring Lake Minnewanka where you can hike, kayak or canoe
6) Driving through Kootenay Provincial Park
7) Hiking to visit the Paint Pots to visit the pools
8) Visiting the incredibly beautiful Lake Moraine
9) Visiting world famous Lake Louise
10) Hiking the Old Coach Trail in between Radium Hot Springs and Dry Gulch
11) Relaxing at Windermere Lake
12) Checking out the famous Continental Divide
13) Visiting Kananaskis Country to visit Upper Kananaskis Lake and Lower Kananaskis Lake

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit Video Transcript:
Welcome to the Canadian Rockies! In the last video we showed you the 4-and-a-half day car journey from Ontario, but now it’s time to jump into the sightseeing.
We had 1 full week in the Rockies, splitting our time between both Alberta and British Columbia, and all of our days were spent hiking in woods, visiting the lakes, and just enjoying being surrounded by nature.
This was a family road trip with our trusty family dog Togo in tow, so we’re going to be sharing with you our adventure in what may well be the most beautiful part of Canada!
The Bow River trail is just a few steps from downtown Banff and it follows the riverside.
From there, we walked over to the Banff Springs Hotel. This historic hotel opened up in 1888 it’s one of Canada's grand railway hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway. We continued over to Canmore.
From there, we drove over to Lake Minnewanka, which has more of a bluer hue in comparison to the other turquoise and emerald lakes in the Rockies. Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake 21 kilometres in length, making it the 2nd longest lake in the Rockies. It’s a hub for water activity like boat cruises, kayaking, canoeing, and well, it’s beautiful.
Later that day we drove to Moraine Lake, which is another glacially fed lake. It has a brilliant blue-green colour due to light refracting off the rock sediments, and like most destinations in the Rockies, this one was another stunner.
The views from the shore of Lake Louise were nothing short of stunning, we had Victoria Glacier perfectly framed by mountains on either side, and then the brilliant glacial waters with dotted with red canoes.
Our final destination in the Rockies was Kananaskis Country where we visited Lower Kananaskis Lake and Upper Kananaskis Lake.
The real highlight was finally spotting some wildlife just as we were leaving for the day.
And that’s a wrap for our Rockies Road Trip! We still have lots left to see of our home country, but we can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Canada.
We hope you guys got a few ideas of places to visit on your trip.
Wishing you happy travels and see you next time!

The Marmora falls near Terni, in Umbria, with the considerable height of 165 meters, is the largest waterfall, made by man, the world, but also the oldest. It was created in 271 BC by the ancient Romans when they diverted the river Velino tin, causing it to flow into the Black River.
A path pay down waterfalls. allows visitors to walk to the top of the jump. Along the way, there is a tunnel that leads to an observatory right next to the falls, where certainly you bathe thoroughly.
The waterfalls are used for the production of electricity, and are activated only for a few hours a day, morning and afternoon on public holidays and holiday periods. In the summer, even at night!

Venite a Visitarci, Vi aspettiamo !!!
