Business information gurus Dun & Bradstreet recently released a Top 10 list of the most visited pay-to-enter tourist sites in Israel.
Capturing first place on the list is the ancient Masada fortress ( site of the first-century great revolt of the Jews against the Romans, and today a symbol of heroism.
The remaining spots were taken by Jerusalem's Tisch Family Zoological Gardens (jerusalemzoo.org.il/eng); Caesarea National Park ( on the Mediterranean coast; the Banias Nature Reserve ( all the way up north; Ramat Gan's Safari Park (safari.co.il); Ein Gedi Nature Reserve ( Hamat Gader hot springs in the Golan Heights; Eilat's Underwater Observatory Marine Park (coralworld.com/eilat/eng); the caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered in 1947; and the Yamit 2000 Water Park (yamit2000.co.il) just outside of Tel Aviv.

This was my brief visit to Caesarea a town in Israel located mid-way between Tel Aviv and Haifa (45 km), on the Israeli coastal plain near the city of Hadera. This video shows only the ancient amphitheater built by the Romans and the Crusader City Walls.

Carmel Beach is very popular among tourists. The beach is authorized and offers all is needed for a perfect beach day.
Carmel beach is located near a hotel, restaurant and bar area which makes it an attraction to more than the usual beachgoers.
In conclusion:
Every Israeli will tell you that the beach is one of the most beautiful places in Israel. You can't resist the nice sea water of the Mediterranean.
You can find many activities on the beaches of Israel. Some offer parties, some the possibility to play games like volleyball or beach soccer or football and more.
The weather on the beaches in Israel can get really hot. It is highly recommended to have sun protection and plenty of water when you visit the beach in summer time and winter time.

Caesarea (Hebrew: קֵיסָרְיָה, Kesariya; Arabic: قيسارية, Qaysaria; Greek: Καισάρεια; /ˌsɛzəˈriːə, ˌsɛsəˈriːə, ˌsiːzəˈriːə/) is a town in north-central Israel. Located midway between Tel Aviv and Haifa on the coastal plain near the city of Hadera, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hof HaCarmel Regional Council. With a population of 4,853, it is the only Israeli locality managed by a private organization, the Caesarea Development Corporation, and also one of the most populous localities not recognized as a local council.
The town was built by Herod the Great about 25–13 BCE as the port city Caesarea Maritima. It served as an administrative center of Judaea Province of the Roman Empire, and later the capital of the Byzantine Palaestina Prima province during the classic period. Following the Muslim conquest in the 7th century, in which it was the last city to fall to the Arabs, the city had an Arab majority until Crusader conquest. It was abandoned after the Mamluk conquest.[4] It was re-populated in 1884 by Bosniak immigrants, who settled in a small fishing village. In 1940, kibbutz Sdot Yam was established next to the village. In February 1948 the village was conquered by a Palmach unit commanded by Yitzhak Rabin, its people already had fled following an attack by the Lehi. In 1952, a Jewish town of Caesarea was established near the ruins of the old city, which were made into the national park of Caesarea Maritima.

This is the final extract from 'Middle East Tour 2017'. It's a spectacular helicopter ride from Tel Aviv. across the fertile plain, over wooded foothills to Jerusalem and then on to the Dead Sea valley in the Judean wilderness, flying at 600 feet. The contrast in scenery within half an hour is truly amazing!
