Καλοί Λιμένες - Kali Limenes, Crete in 4Κ (Ultra HD )
Οι Καλοί Λιμένες βρίσκονται 75χλμ νοτιοδυτικά του.Ηρακλείου. Είναι ένας πολύ μικρός οικισμός με λίγα ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια και μερικές ταβέρνες. Απέναντι από τους Καλούς Λιμένες, στο νησί Μικρονήσι υπάρχουν δεξαμενές καυσίμων, που είναι και ο λόγος της μη τουριστικής αξιοποίησης της πανέμορφης κατά τα άλλα περιοχής. Οι δεξαμενές αποτελούν οπτική μόνο «ρύπανση¨ διότι η πάντα ήρεμη θάλασσα ( εξού και το όνομα Καλοί Λιμένες) είναι πεντακάθαρη οι δε παραλίες της μήκους πάνω από 2 γλμ από τις ωραιότερες της νότια Κρήτης. Δυτικά του οικισμού είναι η μεγάλη παραλία, Μακριά άμμος, με πολλά δέντρα που συγκεντρώνει πολλούς ελεύθερους κατασκηνωτές. Στα ανατολικά συναντάμε πρώτα την παραλία, ψιλλή άμμος με το μικρό λιμανάκι και στη συνέχεια την παραλία, Στενά. Αυτή η παραλία ξεχωρίζει με τον μεγάλο βράχο που βρίσκεται μέσα στη θάλασσα και περικλείεται από μια στενή λωρίδα θάλασσας. Η περιοχή έχει και άλλες ωραίες παραλίες όπως η Καραβόβρυση δυτικά λίγο μετά την Μακριά άμμο και η παραλία του μικρού οικισμού Χρυσόστομος παρακάτω.
Kali Limenes (i.e. Good Ports) is located 75km southwest of Heraklion
Once you get to Kali Limenes, you will see the oil tanks of SEKA located opposite from the settlement on the island Mikronisi. These facilities are causing visual pollution, but fortunately the sea remains very clean.
Υou will certainly be enchanted by the beautiful beaches of Kali Limenes, which are suitable for swimming all year round. As its name name suggests, sea in Kali Limenes (i.e. Fair Harbors) is almost always calm.
The first beach you come across on the east, when coming from Pigaidakia, is Makria Ammos (i.e. Long Sandy Beach). It's a long beach with fine grayish pebbles and dark deep waters.
Makria Ammos is also known as “Tamarisks” or “Trees” because of the several tamarisk trees along the coast, providing shade to visitors. These are very popular to free campers.
In front of the village a small bay is formed, with the small harbor of the settlement and a nice beach, called Psili Ammos (i.e. Fine Sandy Beach). Indeed, the beach has fine sand and is ideal for children.
Just 500m west of Kali Limenes, it is situated the Stena beach.
It is a beach that you will not find in any tourist guide of Crete, although it certainly deserves to be. What makes it stand out from the usual beaches is the huge rock, located amid the cove and surrounded by a narrow strip of water. Other nearby beaches are Karavovrisi and Chrysostomos

Kali Limenes South Crete Greece
The port is the home of a major oil storage and terminal facility, located on the small island of Aghios Pavlos (Saint Paul) at the port's entrance. The facility has four shore-based storage tanks containing fuel oil and gasoil, pumps of 1,000 cubic metres per hour capacity and three loading docks. The terminal's maximum draft of 40 feet (13.45 metres) enables the facility to handle oil tankers of up to approximately two hundred thousand metric tons of deadweight.

Fair Havens of the Apostle Paul
This is a view of the harbor of Fair Havens that Paul stopped at in Acts. On the Southern coast of the Greek island of Crete, the small town there is officially Kali Limenes. There is a little white church dedicated to Paul on the hill overlooking the harbor. The church, like many of the buildings of the Greek Orthodox Church, is more of a place of meditation and not a place people meet.

Chora Sfakion, Crete and the Hidden Vrisi Beach Paradise
Still on the south side of Crete, we tour through Chora Sfakion and the beautifully hidden Vrisi beach. Vrisi beach is similar to Paraiso beach in Carvoeiro, Portugal, of which you can find a video for that one in our video library.
Chora Sfakion is a small, yet active town. The harbor area is full of food and drink choices, but most of the traffic from this small town is the results of the ferries coming and going from the harbor area and the buses that are there to conduct pickup and dropoff operations - mainly for those who ferry over from Agia Roumeli after hiking the famous Samaria Gorge.
What a great little stopover, tho - and the way the harbor is protected by the White mountains behind it is just awesome - and authentic Crete.
Vrisi beach is on the edge of town and has some of the best swimming water and is a bit of a hidden gem.

Τσούτσουρος Tsoutsouros Crete Tour Guide
Ο Τσούτσουρος απέχει 68 χιλιόμετρα από το Ηράκλειο και οδηγεί στο χωριό ο οδικός άξονας Ηράκλειο, Πεζά, Αλάγνι, Αρκαλοχώρι, Κάτω Πουλιές, Κάτω Καστελιανά, Τσούτσουρος. Κατοικείται από 100 περίπου μόνιμους κατοίκους κατά τους χειμερινούς μήνες ενώ κατά τους καλοκαιρινούς πολλαπλασιάζονται κατά πολύ.
Ο Τσούτσουρος είναι το επίνειο του Δήμου Αρκαλοχωρίου στη νότια παραλία του Νομού Ηρακλείου, το Λιβυκό πέλαγος. Γραφικό και πανέμορφο ψαροχώρι σήμερα με σημαντική τουριστική υποδομή και υπέροχη θάλασσα. Τόπος ιδανικός για καλοκαιρινές διακοπές και με κάθε προοπτική για τη λειτουργία του ως τουριστικού θέρετρου για όλη τη διάρκεια του χρόνου. Το κλίμα είναι υπέροχο αφού δεν έχει καθόλου υγρασία και βοηθά στη θεραπεία αναπνευστικών προβλημάτων. Η θάλασσα έχει ιδιαίτερη πυκνότητα σε αλάτι και σε ιώδιο, στοιχεία συνδυαζόμενα με την καθαρότητά της συνθέτουν ισχυρή πρόκληση για θερινές διακοπές.
Δεν έχει όμως μόνο το χωριό ομορφιές. Ολόκληρη η γύρω περιοχή διαθέτει μαγευτική φύση και δίνει την ευκαιρία για μικρές ή μεγάλες εκδρομές είτε στην καρδιά των βουνών μέσα από τα ποτάμια και τους χείμαρρους, είτε στις κορφές μέσα από βουνίσια μονοπάτια, είτε σε ωραίες παραλίες που υπάρχουν σε μακρύτερες αποστάσεις οι δρόμοι που ξεκινούν από το χωριό, είτε, τέλος, σε μαγευτικούς ορμίσκους καβάλα πάνω στα αχάραχτα μονοπάτια της θάλασσας.
Πολύ σύντομα - σε ένα ή δύο χρόνια - το χωριό θα αποκτήσει ένα μικρό λιμανάκι (Είναι ήδη υπό κατασκευή) ώστε να μπορει να φιλοξενήσει αλιευτικά καί μικρά τουριστικά σκάφη παρέχοντας τις βασικές διευκολύνσεις. ...only for education, culture, e-learning... 4U2C ...
