New Zealand's best-kept secret - Karamea
Karamea is a small town 99km north of Westport, on the South Island of New Zealand. It's basically a no exit road, so a lot of people don't bother coming. The area has been described as New Zealand's best-kept secret.
It feels untouched and has a lot more wildlife than other parts of New Zealand. There's a wild beach, red rivers, mossy forest and caves - plenty of natural beauty.

3 Different Campgrounds | South Island, New Zealand
I start exploring the South Island in New Zealand and stay at 3 different types of campgrounds.
The first is a Department of Conservation campground called Pelorus Bridge Campground in the Marlborough area. Absolutely beautiful spot, but unfortunately rained for most of my stay.
I then move to a more traditional campground in Nelson. This is actually the first campground I stayed at after purchasing my caravan! It's called Tahuna Beach Kiwi Holiday Park and it's a huge campground. I ended up staying in the 8th section I think? In that part, only self contained vehicles can stay and you get a perk if you are an NZMCA member.
I then move to Ruby Bay (which is not far from Nelson) and stay at McKee Memorial Reserve. It's right by the water and has only just opened again after a storm damaged it.

Oparara, West Coast
