Are you moving to New Zealand ?
New Zealand is one of the world’s best places to live and retire, best place to raise your family. It has a very pleasant climate, great beaches, a wide variety of outdoor activities, cultural attractions, free health care (for the most part), a good educational system, economic freedom, a lack of corruption and attractive, modern cities.
Known for the stunning landscapes featured in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings.
New Zealand is comprised of two big islands called North Island and South Island, plus numerous smaller islands.
It is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean and is very geographically isolated.
Its nearest neighbors are Australia, which is 1242 miles to the northwest, and New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga to the north.
The population of New Zealand is 4,334,000, the majority of whom are of European descent.
The largest minority are the native Maori. There are also a significant number of non-Maori Polynesians and Asians – especially in urban areas.
If you're thinking of moving to New Zealand, you'll need to decide where you're going to live.
Learn more about best places to live in New Zealand here, and decide where in the country you should settle.
Here're the 10 best places to live in New Zealand for 2018.
1. Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.
2. Taranaki.
3. Dunedin.
4. Auckland.
5. Rotorua.
6. Christchurch.
7. Queenstown Lake District.
8. Selwyn.
9. Nelson.
10. Waikato.
If you are moving to live in New Zealand and you’re really not sure where you want to settle, Auckland can be a great place to begin, you can rent accommodation easily within the city and it has fantastic transport links for the rest of the nation.
But be sure to use these transport links, explore the North and South Islands and find the location that best suits you before you buy a home or even commit to living in New Zealand full time.
Whilst the nation is not vast or overpopulated, it does encompass such an impressive array of geographically different regions that it would be a crime not to explore far more of the country than its leading city before you settle on a place in New Zealand to call home.
Thanks for watching this video. I hope it's useful for you.

It’s time to finally have a walkabout in the city of New Plymouth, Taranaki. We begin at our accommodation at the Ducks & Drakes Backpackers and head onto the streets of New Plymouth to explore the city.
We head down to the awesome Pukekura Park with waterfalls, bush walks, lakes, birds and so many things to see. We spend a lot of time wandering around Pukekura Park in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
As well as Pukekura Park, we also check out the wonderful street art of New Plymouth in Taranaki. The city is full of vibrant art which keeps our spirits high even when it is raining on our paper map... Rain and paper maps do not mix.
We attempt to take a bus back into New Plymouth, but when the bus doesn’t stop for us, a friendly local stops by and gives us a lift. How nice!

Taranaki is a coastal and mountainous region on the western side of New Zealand's North Island. Its landscape is dominated by Mount Taranaki, its namesake volcano, which lies within the rainforested Egmont National Park. The port city of New Plymouth is the area's hub. It hosts green spaces like Pukekura Park, with lakes and formal gardens that grow rhododendrons and king ferns.

5 Things To Do In Taranaki
Hey what's up everyone, this week I traveled to Taranaki on the West Coast of New Zealand. In 2017 this region was named the second best region in the world to visit by Lonely Planet. I had 36 hours on the ground and pretty crappy weather. So instead of scaling Mount Taranaki and/or checking out their coastal walkway on my electric skateboard, I decided to visit five or so places that didn't require fine weather.
The top 5 locations were:
1. The Govett Brewster / Len Lye Art Gallery,
2. Pukekura Park,
3. Dawson Falls,
4. Normanby Dam,
5. The Surf Highway.
I also visited:
6. Paritutu Rock,
7. The Cape Egmont Lighthouse & Lighthouse Museum,
8. The Puke Ariki Museum, and
9. A small portion of the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway.

aiya!!! (new zealand 10)
哎呀妈呀
we use aiya on every little thing here even if theres nothing to 'aiya' it just comes naturally. Then we realised westerners do not use this and we think its such a shame because its such a good word for everything.
anyway! we were in taranaki for a week and stayed in Hawera (down in South Taranaki). We happened to be in the area while the Festival of Lights in New Plymouth was still on so we spent an entire day on a road trip down the Surf Highway (stopped by at least 5 beaches).
Taranaki is very fun!!! If you're ever in the North Island please visit it. All the beaches on the west coast (Taranaki all the way up to Auckland, I believe) are black sand beaches and let me tell you, black sand beaches are 99% better than normal beaches.
places featured in this video (✨ must visit!):
- Lake Rotokare
- Pukekura Park and the Festival of Lights (New Plymouth) ✨
- Paritutu Rock ✨
- Cape Egmont Lighthouse
- Veronica Track @ North Egmont National Park
