10 Reasons why I should travel India again & Vlog
I motorcycled solo across all 29 states of India. Non-stop for 16 months. My friends & family started asking me what next. I wondered how I could keep on traveling. And then I heard about VLOGS. So here are 9 reasons why I should do this.
I love Mumbai… It is a city where dreams come true and great fortunes are made. Don’t get me wrong. Mumbai hai Meri Jaan. Lekin iss Shehar ne le liye mere pran. There is no space. The traffic is killing. Log paise se amir hai Lekin samay Se garib.
This bullet yatra on one side. And the rest of the 35 years of my life on the other side. The bullet yatra was ten times better. I had the time of my life. I would choose the journey. Any day. Why should I not experience more in a deeper way?
There is a very famous quote by a great traveller, Ibn Battuta. He said “Travelling makes you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller.” I have been quiet for a long time. There is no greater pain than a untold story within you. The story of Bharat Yatra must be told.
This one year of travel will be a tribute to the countless, great and spiritual people who walked on this land spent generations doing epic things. Like building mind blowing temples or writing epic literature or gave their lives for our freedom. It is better that you watch this real education that we never got in school than all the shit that bollywood and media shows you.
I love my country. Western history is like a new born baby compared to Bharat. This is the birth place of human speech. India is the mother of great ideas. In spirituality, this is the One Land that all men desired to see. And once seen, they forgot all the other great shows on the planet.
How many people have travelled solo across the country, to all 29 states, for 16 months? I know don’t know anyone. Since the cave man days, it our instinct to share what we have seen and learnt. This has become one of my deepest desires. Hardly anyone can show you India better than me.
By travelling the world outside, one ends up discovering oneself. Comfort zones are tested. One is forced to adjust everywhere. Irrespective of food, weather & strange cultures. The real-self of a person is forced to come out. At first I thought I was a Mumbaikar, then no, my ancestry is from Gujarat. Later I believed I am an Indian. Finally realised that I am just another human being.
I have been practising yoga for the last five years. Stayed for months at a yoga ashram run by Sadhguru. Yoga is the settling of the mind into silence. When the mind has settled, we are established in our true nature. We can be who we wish to be at any particular moment. Travelling and yoga is a deadly combination. It made me realise the reason I was born.
Travelling pushes you into the unknown places, cultures, people and situation. Unknown is the essence of any entrepreneurial activity or human endeavour. One of the biggest motivations is that when my nephew grows he will know that his mamu did something different and succeeded. Like my nephew everyone needs to explore the unknown to strive for their maximum growth.
My girlfriend says I look sexier than the popular Vloggers today. I have given a TEDx talk. And I can hold a camera. Maybe even learn vlogging. Now is the time to walk the talk.

1. Pourquoi as-tu choisi l’Australie comme destination ?
J'ai choisi l'Australie, car tout d'abord mon oncle habite Melbourne. C'était rassurant de savoir que quelqu'un nous attendait sur place. Et bien-sûr car pour moi l'Australie rime avec Road trip et aventure !
2. Pourrais-tu partager ta meilleure expérience en Australie ?
Mon aventure de 6 mois n'est pas encore terminée. Mais ma meilleure expérience a été de faire un Road Trip de 3 mois avec mon amie Justine. Que ce soit dans les bons moments ou dans les galères. C'est vraiment quelque chose qui me restera toute ma vie.
3. Est-ce que tu aurais des conseils, des astuces pour les gens qui voyagent en Australie ?
Petits conseils de fille pour celles qui souhaite faire un Road Trip : Ne pas prendre de vêtement blanc, savoir faire des tresses (et oui on ne peut pas se laver les cheveux à sa guise), lingettes bébé (ça peut remplacer la douche), ne pas être difficile concernant la nourriture, et apprendre à savourer les aliments pas frais.
4. Y a-t-il des sites web que tu trouves utiles concernant l’Australie ?
Pour les sites web utiles, dès qu'on avait une question on la tapait sur Google, et on regardait les premiers sites web. On consultait souvent Australia-australie.com Et si on avait encore des questions, on les publiait sur les groupes Facebook des Français en Australie. Et pour les applications sur smartphone, les indispensables: WikiCamps et Maps.me : un GPS qui fonctionne sans avoir besoin de réseau.
5. Quel est ton top 3 des choses à faire en Australie ?
Notre top 3 des choses à faire en Australie, pour le moment seraient: Tasmanie: ça a été notre première découverte de l'Australie, et nous avons vraiment adoré. Whitsundays : petite excursion en catamaran = très belle journée. Sydney : notre première fois devant l'opéra, ça nous a vraiment fait quelque chose.
6. Les objets indispensables que tu emportes toujours avec toi en voyage ?
Nos objets indispensables pour voyager : Appareil photo, Smartphone, et le fameux couteau suisse !
7. Qu’est-ce qui est le plus difficile quand on voyage ?
Le plus difficile pour nous a été le manque de la famille. En road trip, on a plus le même état d'esprit, on ne rêvait pas forcément de biens matériels.

First tour to Sri Lanka | Mumbai to Galle (via Colombo)
This is my first tour to Sri Lanka. It's a solo trip and completely unplanned. I got a cheap ticket of Rs. 13,000 return fair. The Sri Lankan visa is on arrival. It's USD 25 for 30 days for Indians. I feel great to be travelling in a new country for 30 days. I will be practising Yoga. From Colombo airport the cheapest way to get to the city is Uber. I stayed in a hostel in one of the suburbs of Colombo. Mount Lavinia. Met some cool people especially this Belgian girl and a gujju guy. You get to meet different people by staying in a hostel. Caught an amazing sunset by the beach. Tried this amazing local dish called Khiri Bhat made of coconut, milk and rice. With a spicy chutney called Sambol made of red chilli, onions, and lime. Took the train to Galle. The fare was just 65 indian rupees and took just 2 hours. Now to time to explore Galle!

Sikanderpur Metro Station
